2 Chronicles 14
1 and to lie down: be dead Abijah with father his and to bury [obj] him in/on/with city David and to reign Asa son: child his underneath: instead him in/on/with day his to quiet [the] land: country/planet ten year
Et Asa fit ce qui est bien et droit aux yeux de l'Éternel, son Dieu.
2 and to make: do Asa [the] pleasant and [the] upright in/on/with eye: appearance LORD God his
Et il fit disparaître les autels de l'étranger et les tertres et il brisa les colonnes et mit en pièces les Astartés
3 and to turn aside: remove [obj] altar [the] foreign and [the] high place and to break [obj] [the] pillar and to cut down/off [obj] [the] Asherah
et enjoignit à Juda de chercher l'Éternel, Dieu de ses pères, et de pratiquer la Loi et le Commandement.
4 and to say to/for Judah to/for to seek [obj] LORD God father their and to/for to make: do [the] instruction and [the] commandment
Et il fit disparaître de toutes les villes de Juda les tertres et les colonnes solaires, et le pays fut en paix devant lui.
5 and to turn aside: remove from all city Judah [obj] [the] high place and [obj] [the] pillar and to quiet [the] kingdom to/for face: before his
Et il bâtit des places fortes en Juda, car le pays était tranquille et durant ces années il n'eut pas de guerre à soutenir, parce que l'Éternel lui donna du repos.
6 and to build city fortress in/on/with Judah for to quiet [the] land: country/planet and nothing with him battle in/on/with year [the] these for to rest LORD to/for him
Et il dit à Juda: Bâtissons ces villes et les entourons de murs et de tours, de portes et de verrous; le pays est encore à notre discrétion, parce que nous avons cherché l'Éternel, notre Dieu, l'avons cherché, et Il nous a assuré le repos de la part de tous nos alentours. Ils bâtirent donc et réussirent.
7 and to say to/for Judah to build [obj] [the] city [the] these and to turn: surround wall and tower door and bar still he [the] land: country/planet to/for face: before our for to seek [obj] LORD God our to seek and to rest to/for us from around: whole and to build and to prosper
Et Asa avait une armée portant bouclier et lance, de Juda trois cent mille hommes, et de Benjamin deux cent quatre-vingt mille, portant la rondache et maniant l'arc, tous braves guerriers.
8 and to be to/for Asa strength: soldiers to lift: bear shield and spear from Judah three hundred thousand and from Benjamin to lift: bear shield and to tread bow hundred and eighty thousand all these mighty man strength
Et contre eux s'avança Zérach, l'Ethiopien, avec une armée d'un million d'hommes et trois cents chars, et il pénétra jusqu'à Marésa.
9 and to come out: come to(wards) them Zerah [the] Ethiopian in/on/with strength: soldiers thousand thousand and chariot three hundred and to come (in): come till Mareshah
Et Asa sortit à sa rencontre, et ils se rangèrent en bataille dans la vallée de Tsephatha près de Marésa.
10 and to come out: come Asa to/for face: before his and to arrange battle in/on/with (Zephathah) Valley Zephathah to/for Mareshah
Et Asa invoqua l'Éternel, son Dieu, et dit: Éternel, nul autre que toi ne peut intervenir comme aide entre un fort et un faible: sois notre aide, Éternel, notre Dieu! car c'est toi que nous prenons pour appui et c'est en ton Nom que nous affrontons cette multitude; Éternel, tu es notre Dieu; que le mortel ne l'emporte pas sur loi.
11 and to call: call to Asa to(wards) LORD God his and to say LORD nothing with you to/for to help between many to/for nothing strength to help us LORD God our for upon you to lean and in/on/with name your to come (in): come upon [the] crowd [the] this LORD God our you(m. s.) not to restrain with you human
Alors l'Éternel défit les Ethiopiens devant Asa et devant Juda, et les Ethiopiens prirent la fuite.
12 and to strike LORD [obj] [the] Ethiopian to/for face: before Asa and to/for face: before Judah and to flee [the] Ethiopian
Et Asa avec la troupe qui était avec lui les poursuivit jusqu'à Gérar, et il tomba tant d'Éthiopiens que pas un n'eut la vie sauve; car ceux-ci furent taillés en pièces devant l'Éternel et son armée. Et ils remportèrent un très grand butin.
13 and to pursue them Asa and [the] people which with him till to/for Gerar and to fall: kill from Ethiopian to/for nothing to/for them recovery for to break to/for face: before LORD and to/for face: before camp his and to lift: bear spoil to multiply much
Et ils firent main basse sur toutes les villes autour de Gérar, car elles étaient sous la terreur de l'Éternel, et ils pillèrent toutes les villes, car il s'y trouvait beaucoup de butin.
14 and to smite [obj] all [the] city around Gerar for to be dread LORD upon them and to plunder [obj] all [the] city for plunder many to be in/on/with them
Et ils firent aussi main basse sur les tentes des troupeaux, et ils emmenèrent des brebis en quantité et des chameaux et regagnèrent Jérusalem.
15 and also tent livestock to smite and to take captive flock to/for abundance and camel and to return: return Jerusalem
et tout Juda se réjouit du serment, car ils l'avaient prêté de tout leur cœur, et c'était de leur plein gré qu'ils le cherchaient, et Il se laissa trouver par eux, et l'Éternel leur donna paix de toutes parts.
