Ruth 1
1 And it was in [the] days of [the] judging of the judges and it was a famine in the land and he went a man from Beth-lehem Judah to sojourn in [the] region of Moab he and wife his and [the] two sons his.

2 And [the] name of the man [was] Elimelech and [the] name of wife his [was] Naomi and [the] name of [the] two sons his - [was] Mahlon and Kilion Ephrathites from Beth-lehem Judah and they came [the] region of Moab and they were there.
Te hlang kah a ming tah Elimelekh tih a yuu ming tah Naomi, a ca rhoi ming tah Mahlon neh Kilion a ming nah. Amih rhoek tah Judah Bethlehem kah Ephraim lamloh Moab khohmuen la cet tih om uh.
3 And he died Elimelech [the] husband of Naomi and she was left she and [the] two sons her.
Te vaengah Naomi tah a va Elimelekh te duek tih anih neh a ca rhoi la cul.
4 And they took for themselves wives Moabite [the] name of the one [was] Orpah and [the] name of the second [was] Ruth and they dwelt there about ten years.
A ca rhoi loh Moab nu a ming ah Orpah neh Ruth te a loh rhoi tih kum rha tluk om uh.
5 And they died also both of them Mahlon and Kilion and she was left the woman from both children her and from husband her.

6 And she arose she and daughters-in-law her and she returned from [the] region of Moab if she had heard in [the] region of Moab that he had visited Yahweh people his by giving to them food.
Tedae BOEIPA loh a pilnam te buh paek ham a hip coeng tila Moab kho ah a yaak. Te dongah hlah uh tih a langa rhoi neh Moab kho lamloh bal.
7 And she went out from the place where she had been there and [the] two daughters-in-law her [were] with her and they went on the way to return to [the] land of Judah.
Te dongah a om nah hmuen lamloh nong tih a langa rhoi neh amah neh Judah kho long la bal ham cet uh.
8 And she said Naomi to [the] two daughters-in-law her go return [each] woman to [the] house of mother her (may he deal *Q(K)*) Yahweh with you covenant loyalty just as you have dealt with the dead and with me.
Tedae a langa rhoi taengah Naomi loh, “Cet rhoi lamtah na manu im la mael rhoi laeh. Aka duek rhoek neh kai taengah na saii vanbangla sitlohnah te nangmih rhoi taengah BOEIPA loh han saii khaw han saii khaming.
9 May he give Yahweh to you and find rest [each] woman [the] house of husband her and she kissed them and they raised voice their and they wept.
BOEIPA loh nangmih rhoi te m'pae saeh lamtah na va im kah duemnah khaw hmu rhoi van,” a ti nah tih amih rhoi te a mok hatah a ol a huel uh tih rhap uh.
10 And they said to her that with you we will return to people your.
Te phoeiah anih te, “Namah neh na pilnam taengla bal uh sih,” a ti na rhoi.
11 And she said Naomi go back O daughters my why? will you go with me ¿ still [belong] to me [do] sons in inward parts my and they will become of you husbands.
Tedae Naomi loh, “Ka canu rhoi aw mael rhoi laeh. Kai taengla balae nan loh rhoi eh? Nangmih rhoi kah na va la aka poeh ham khaw ka ko khuiah camoe ka khueh pueng tih nim?
12 Go back O daughters my go for I am [too] old for belonging to a husband if I said there for me [is] hope also I belonged this night to a husband and also I bore sons.
Ka canu rhoi mael rhoi lamtah cet rhoi laeh, ka patong coeng he, va khueh ham khaw kai hamla ngaiuepnah om ka ti koinih hlaempang pakhat ah ka va taengla ka om vetih ca kan sak sue,
13 ¿ Therefore - will you wait until that they will grow up ¿ therefore will you shut yourselves off to not to belong to a husband may not [it be] O daughters my for it is bitter to me very more than you that it has gone forth on me [the] hand of Yahweh.

14 And they raised voice their and they wept again and she kissed Orpah mother-in-law her and Ruth she clung to her.

15 And she said there! she has returned sister-in-law your to people her and to gods her go back after sister-in-law your.
Te vaengah, “Na maya tah a pilnam taeng neh a pathen taengla bal ke! na maya neh bal laeh,” a ti nah.
16 And she said Ruth may not you entreat me to abandon you to turn back from after you for to where you will go I will go and at where you will lodge I will lodge people your [will be] people my and God your [will be] God my.
Tedae Ruth loh, “Nang hnoo ham neh nang hnuk lamkah bal ham tah kai he nan doo pawt mako, na pongpa nah ah ka pongpa vetih na rhaehba nah ah ka rhaehba ni, na pilnam khaw ka pilnam van, na Pathen khaw ka Pathen ni.
17 At where you will die I will die and there I will be buried thus may he do Yahweh to me and thus may he add if death it will separate between me and between you.
Na duek nah ah ka duek saeh lamtah pahoi ng'up uh van saeh. BOEIPA loh kai taengah han saii saeh lamtah hang khoep nawn saeh. Kai laklo neh nang laklo ah duek long mah n'tuiphih nawn saeh,” a ti nah.
18 And she saw that [was] determined she to go with her and she ceased to speak to her.
A taengah caeh ham a ning mangkhak te a hmuh vaengah voek ham khaw a toeng.
19 And they went [the] two of them until came they Beth-lehem and it was when came they Beth-lehem and it was excited all the city on them and they [fem] said ¿ [is] this Naomi.
Te dongah amih rhoi te Bethlehem a pha duela cet rhoi. Bethlehem a pha rhoi van neh amih rhoi kongah khopuei boeih te pangngawl tih, “Naomi a te?” a ti uh.
20 And she said to them may not you call me Naomi call me Mara for he has caused bitterness [the] Almighty to me exceedingly.
Tedae amih taengah tah, “Kai he Naomi la ng'khue uh boeh, Tlungthang loh kai mat m'phaep coeng dongah kai he Mara la ng'khue uh mai.
21 I full I went and empty he has brought back me Yahweh why? do you call me Naomi and Yahweh he has testified against me and [the] Almighty he has done harm to me.

22 And she returned Naomi and Ruth the Moabite [woman] daughter-in-law her [was] with her who returned from [the] region of Moab and they they came Beth-lehem at [the] beginning of [the] harvest of barley.
Naomi a bal vaengah Moab kho lamkah anih neh aka mael hmaih a langa Moab Ruth neh cangtun cangah cuek vaengah Bethlehem a pha rhoi.
