Nehemiah 1
1 [the] words of Nehemiah [the] son of Hacaliah and it was in [the] month of (Kislev *Q(k)*) year twenty and I I was in Susa the citadel.

2 And he came Hanani one of brothers my he and people from Judah and I asked them about the Jews the escaped remnant who they had survived from the captivity and on Jerusalem.
Te vaengah ka manuca rhoek khuikah pakhat Hanani ha pawk. Amah neh Judah lamkah hlang rhoek khaw om. Amih taengah tamna lamloh aka sueng rhalyong Judah kawng neh Jerusalem kawng te ka dawt.
3 And they said to me the survivors who they have survived from the captivity there in the province [are] in trouble great and in disgrace and [the] wall of Jerusalem [has been] broken down and gates its they have been burned with fire.
Te vaengah paeng khuikah yoethae len khui neh kokhahnah khuiah tamna lamkah aka sueng, aka sueng rhoek loh kai taengah, “Jerusalem vongtung tim tih a vongka khaw hmai neh a hlup uh coeng,” a ti uh.
4 And it was when heard I - the words these I sat down and I wept and I mourned! days and I was fasting and praying before [the] God of the heavens.
He ol he ka yaak vaengah ka ngol tih ka rhap. Khohniyung ah ka nguekcoi neh ka om. Vaan Pathen mikhmuh ah ka yaeh tih ka thangthui.
5 And I said I beg you O Yahweh [the] God of the heavens the God great and awesome [who] keeps the covenant and covenant loyalty to [those who] love him and to [those who] keep commandments his.
Te phoeiah, “Aw, vaan kah Pathen, YAHWEH Pathen tah len tih rhih om pai. Amah aka lungnah taeng neh a olpaek aka ngaithuen taengah paipi neh sitlohnah a ngaithuen pah.
6 May it be please ear your attentive and eyes your open to listen to [the] prayer of servant your which I [am] praying before you this day by day and night on [the] people of Israel servants your and [am] confessing on [the] sins of [the] people of Israel which we have sinned to you and I and [the] house of father my we have sinned.
Na sal kah thangthuinah te yaak hamla na hna khui tih na mik aka dai la om laeh. Kai he tihnin ah khaw na sal Israel ca ham khoyin khothaih na mikhmuh ah ka thangthui coeng. Namah taengah ka tholh uh bangla Israel ca kah tholhnah te kam phoe. Kamah neh a pa imkhui khaw ka tholh uh coeng.
7 Surely we have acted corruptly to you and not we have kept the commandments and the statutes and the judgments which you commanded Moses servant your.
Na taengah laikoi la ka laikoi uh coeng tih na sal Moses taengah na uen olpaek neh oltlueh khaw, laitloeknah khaw ka ngaithuen uh pawh.
8 Remember please the word which you commanded Moses servant your saying you you will act unfaithfully I I will scatter you among the peoples.
Na sal Moses ol na uen tih, ‘Boe na koek uh dongah nangmih te pilnam lakli ah kan taekyak ni,’ na ti nah te thoelh laeh.
9 And you will turn back to me and you will keep commandments my and you will observe them if it will be banished [one] your at [the] end of the heavens from there I will gather them (and I will bring them *Q(k)*) to the place where I have chosen to cause to dwell name my there.
Tedae kai taengla na mael uh tih ka olpaek he ngaithuen neh na vai atah vaan khobawt la nangmih aka heh te om cakhaw amih te, te lamloh ka coi vetih ka ming om sak ham ka coelh hmuen la amih te pahoi ka khuen rhoe ka khuen ni,’ na ti.
10 And they [are] servants your and people your whom you redeemed by strength your great and by hand your mighty.
Amih te na sal neh na pilnam ni. Te rhoek te na len thadueng neh, na tlungluen kut neh na lat.
11 I beg you O Lord may it be please ear your attentive to [the] prayer of servant your and to [the] prayer of servants your delighting to fear name your and grant success! please to servant your this day and give him compassion before the man this and I I was cup bearer of the king.
Ka Boeipa aw, na sal rhoek kah thangthuinah taengah khaw na ming rhih ham aka omtoem na sal rhoek kah thangthuinah dongah na hna aka khui sak la om laeh. Tihnin kah na sal te khaw thaihtak sak laeh. Anih te hlang mikhmuh ah haidamnah neh pae,” ka ti. Te vaengah kai tah manghai taengah tuitul kung la ka om.
