< 2 Chronicles 32 >

1 After the matters and the faithfulness these he came Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria and he came in Judah and he encamped on the cities fortified and he said to break into them to himself.

2 And he saw Hezekiah that he had come Sennacherib and face his [was] for war on Jerusalem.
A mikhmuh ah caemtloek ham Jerusalem la Sennacherib a pawk te Hezekiah loh a hmuh.
3 And he took counsel with officials his and mighty [men] his to stop up [the] waters of the springs which [were] from [the] outside of the city and they helped him.
Te dongah a mangpa rhoek neh a hlangrhalh rhoek taengah khopuei rhamvoel kah tuiphuet tui te mak hamla a uen tih a bom uh.
4 And they assembled people numerous and they stopped up all the springs and the wadi which flowed in [the] middle of the land saying why? will they come [the] kings of Assyria and they will find waters many.
Te dongah pilnam te muep tingtun tih tuisih boeih neh khohmuen khui la aka long soklong khaw a mak uh. Te vaengah, “Balae tih Assyria manghai rhoek ha pawk uh vetih tui muep a hmuh uh mai eh?” a ti uh.
5 And he strengthened himself and he rebuilt all the city wall which was broken down and he put up on the towers and to the outside the city wall another and he strengthened the Millo [the] city of David and he made weapon[s] to abundance and shields.
Te phoeiah thaa a huel uh tih vongtung aka puut boeih te a biing uh. Rhaltoengim so neh a tloe vongtung rhamvoel hil a hil tih David khopuei kah vaikhap te a moem. Pumcumnah neh photling khaw a cungkuem la a saii.
6 And he appointed commanders of wars over the people and he assembled them to himself to [the] open place of [the] gate of the city and he spoke to heart their saying.
Pilnam soah caemtloek mangpa rhoek a khueh tih amih te khopuei vongka toltung ah amah taengla a coi. Te vaengah amih thinko ah a thui pah tih,
7 Be strong and be courageous may not you be afraid and may not you be dismayed because of [the] king of Assyria and from before all the multitude which [is] with him for [is] with us [one] great more than with him.
“Thaahuel uh lamtah namning uh, Assyria manghai mikhmuh ah rhih uh boeh, rhihyawp uh boeh. Te lamloh anih taengah hlangping loh cungkuem mai cakhaw anih taengkah lakah mamih taengkah he ping ngai.
8 [is] with Him an arm of flesh and [is] with us Yahweh God our to help us and to fight battles our and they supported themselves the people on [the] words of Hezekiah [the] king of Judah.
Anih taengah pumsa kah bantha ni a om. Mamih taengah tah mamih kah Pathen BOEIPA he mamih aka bom ham neh mamih kah caemtloeknah te aka vathoh puei la om coeng,” a ti nah. Te dongah Judah manghai Hezekiah ol lamloh pilnam khaw duel uh thae.
9 After this he sent Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria servants his Jerusalem towards and he [was] at Lachish and all imperial might his [was] with him to Hezekiah [the] king of Judah and to all Judah which [was] in Jerusalem saying.
A hnukah tah Assyria manghai Sennacherib loh a sal rhoek te Jerusalem la a tueih. Te vaengah anih te amah taengkah a khohung boeih neh Lakhish imdan ah Judah manghai Hezekiah neh Jerusalem kah Judah boeih te a pai thil.
10 Thus he says Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria on what? [are] you relying and remaining in siege in Jerusalem.
Te vaengah, “Assyria manghai Sennacherib loh he ni a thui. Me dongah nim na pangtung uh tih Jerusalem kah vongup ah kho na sak uh?
11 ¿ Not [is] Hezekiah misleading you to give you to die by hunger and by thirst saying Yahweh God our he will deliver us from [the] hand of [the] king of Assyria.
Hezekiah loh nangmih te m'vueh moenih a? Khokha neh tuihalh ah duek sak hamla nangmih m'voeih tih, ‘Mamih kah Pathen BOEIPA loh, mamih he Assyria manghai kut lamkah n'huul bitni,’ a ti.
12 ¿ Not that Hezekiah did he remove high places his and altars his and did he say? to Judah and to Jerusalem saying before an altar one you will bow down and on it you will make smoke.
A hmuensang neh a hmueihtuk aka khoe khaw Hezekiah amah moenih a? Te vaengah Judah taeng neh Jerusalem taengah a uen tih, ‘Hmueihtuk pakhat hmai bueng ah ni na bakop uh vetih te soah ni na phum eh,’ a ti.
13 ¿ Not do you know what? have I done I and fathers my to all [the] peoples of the lands ¿ really were they able [the] gods of [the] nations of the lands to deliver land their from hand my.
Kai neh a pa loh khohmuen pilnam boeih taengah ka saii te na ming pawt nim? Khohmuen namtom pathen rhoek loh, a khohmuen te kai kut lamloh a huul ham coeng rhoe coeng ve nim?
14 Who? among all [the] gods of the nations these which they totally destroyed fathers my [is one] which it was able to deliver people its from hand my that he will be able God your to deliver you from hand my.
Kai napa rhoek loh a thup namtom pathen rhoek boeih soah unim aka om? A pilnam te ka kut lamloh huul hamla unim aka coeng thai eh? Kai kut lamloh nangmih huul hamla nangmih kah Pathen te coeng thai aya?
15 And therefore may not he deceive you Hezekiah and may not he mislead you like this and may not you believe him for not it has been able any god of any nation and kingdom to deliver people its from hand my and from [the] hand of fathers my indeed? for gods your not they will deliver you from hand my.
Tahae ah nangmih te Hezekiah loh n'rhaithi boel saeh lamtah he tlam he nangmih te m'vuet boel saeh. Anih te tangnah uh boeh. Namtom neh ram boeih pathen boeih long pataeng ka kut lamkah neh a pa rhoek kut lamloh a pilnam a huul ham a noeng moenih. Nangmih kah Pathen loh nangmih te ka kut lamloh n'huul mahpawh,” a ti nah.
16 And again they spoke servants his on Yahweh God and on Hezekiah servant his.
A sal rhoek khaw Pathen BOEIPA taeng neh BOEIPA kah sal Hezekiah taengah cal uh pueng.
17 And letters he wrote to taunt Yahweh [the] God of Israel and to say on him saying like [the] gods of [the] nations of the lands which not they delivered people their from hand my so not he will deliver [the] God of Hezekiah people his from hand my.
Israel Pathen BOEIPA te veet hamla cabu a daek uh tih a taengah cal uh. “Diklai namtom kah pathen rhoek loh ka kut lamkah a pilnam a huul pawt bangla, Hezekiah kah Pathen loh a pilnam te ka kut lamkah huul mahpawh,” a ti uh.
18 And they called out with a voice great [in] Judean to [the] people of Jerusalem which [was] on the wall to make afraid them and to terrify them so that they may capture the city.
Amih hih ham neh amih te let sak ham, khopuei te duep hamla vongtung sokah Jerusalem pilnam te Judah ol neh a len la a doek uh.
19 And they spoke concerning [the] God of Jerusalem as on [the] gods of [the] peoples of the land [the] work of [the] hands of humankind.
Jerusalem kah Pathen te hlang kut dongkah bisai, diklai pilnam kah pathen kawng bangla a thui uh.
20 And he prayed Hezekiah the king and Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet on this and they cried out the heavens.
He kongah manghai Hezekiah neh tonghma Amoz capa Isaiah tah thangthui tih vaan a khue rhoi.
21 And he sent Yahweh an angel and he annihilated every mighty [man] of strength and officer and commander in [the] camp of [the] king of Assyria and he returned with shame of face to own land his and he came [the] house of god his (and some of [the] offspring of *Q(K)*) lower parts his there they made fall him by the sword.

Te dongah amah khohmuen la maelhmai yahpohnah neh mael tih amah pathen im la pawk. Te vaengah a cakhueh neh a ko khui lamkah a cakhueh loh anih te cunghang dongah hnap cungku uh.
22 And he saved Yahweh Hezekiah and - [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem from [the] hand of Sennacherib [the] king of Assyria and from [the] hand of everyone and he led them from round about.
BOEIPA loh Hezekiah neh Jerusalem khosa rhoek te Assyria manghai Sennacherib kut lamkah khaw, a cungkuem kut lamkah khaw a khang tangloeng tih a kaepvai ah amih te a khool.
23 And many [people] [were] bringing an offering to Yahweh to Jerusalem and excellent things to Hezekiah [the] king of Judah and he was lifted up to [the] eyes of all the nations from after thus.
Te dongah BOEIPA ham khocang neh Judah manghai Hezekiah ham kawnthen khaw Jerusalem la muep a pawk pah. Te dongah a hnuk lamloh namtom cungkuem kah mikhmuh ah a phueih.
24 In the days those he was sick Hezekiah until die and he prayed to Yahweh and he spoke to him and a sign he gave to him.
Te vaeng tue ah Hezekiah te a duek ham duela tlo. Te dongah BOEIPA taengah a thangthui hatah anih te a doo tih a taengah kopoekrhai pakhat a paek.
25 And not according to [the] benefit on him he repaid Hezekiah for it was haughty heart his and it was towards him wrath and towards Judah and Jerusalem.
Tedae a sokah a tiing la Hezekiah loh a thuung pawt dongah a lungbuei a sang sak. Te dongah anih so neh Judah, Jerusalem soah thinhulnah om.
26 And he humbled himself Hezekiah in [the] haughtiness of heart his he and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and not it came towards them [the] wrath of Yahweh in [the] days of Hezekiah.
Te phoeiah tah a lungbuei a sang khui lamloh Hezekiah amah neh Jerusalem khosa rhoek khaw kunyun tih Hezekiah tue vaengah tah BOEIPA kah thinhulnah loh amih thoeng thil pawh.
27 And it belonged to Hezekiah wealth and honor great exceedingly and treasuries he made for himself for silver and for gold and for stone[s] precious and for spices and for shields and for all articles of preciousness.
Hezekiah taengah khuehtawn khaw om tih thangpomnah neh muep rhoeng. Te dongah amah loh cak ham neh sui ham khaw, lung vang ham neh botui ham khaw, photling ham neh sahnaih hnopai cungkuem ham khaw thakvoh a saii.
28 And storehouses for [the] yield of grain and new wine and fresh oil and stalls for all livestock and livestock and flocks for the stalls.
Canghum cangpai, misur thai neh situi ham rhuengim khaw, rhamsa saelhung boeih neh tuvong khuikah tuping ham khaw im a sak.
29 And cities he made for himself and livestock of flock and herd to abundance for he had given to him God property much very.
Pathen loh anih te khuehtawn muep a paek khungdaeng dongah amah ham khopuei a saii tih saelrhoi boiva neh saelhung khaw a cungkuem la a det.
30 And he Hezekiah he stopped up [the] outlet of [the] waters of Gihon upper and he directed them downwards west-ward of [the] city of David and he prospered Hezekiah in every deed his.
Hezekiah amah loh Gihon tui hnun te a soah a ueng tih David khopuei kah khotlak hil a dang la a hlawn. Hezekiah tah a cungkuem dongah a bibi khaw a thaihtak pah.
31 And thus in [the] envoys of - [the] officials of Babylon who sent to him to enquire the sign which it had happened in the land he left him God to put to [the] test him to know everything in heart his.
Tedae khohmuen ah aka thoeng kopoekrhai kawng dawt ham te Babylon mangpa rhoek loh a taengla hmuiyoi a tueih vaengah tah anih te noemcai ham neh, a thinko khuikah boeih te ming hamla Pathen loh anih te a hnoo.
32 And [the] rest of [the] matters of Hezekiah and covenant loyalti his there they [are] written in [the] vision of Isaiah [the] son of Amoz the prophet on [the] scroll of [the] kings of Judah and Israel.
Hezekiah kah ol noi neh a sitlohnah te tonghma Amoz capa Isaiah kah mangthui khuiah khaw, Judah neh Israel manghai rhoek kah cabu khuiah khaw a daek uh.
33 And he lay down Hezekiah with ancestors his and people buried him at [the] ascent of [the] graves of [the] descendants of David and honor they did to him at death his all Judah and [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem and he became king Manasseh son his in place of him.
Hezekiah te a napa rhoek taengla a khoem uh vaengah tah anih te David koca rhoek kah phuel tangkham ah a up uh. A dueknah hnin ah anih te Judah pum neh Jerusalem khosa rhoek loh thangpomnah a saii uh. Te phoeiah tah a capa Manasseh te anih yueng la manghai.
