2 Chronicles 22
1 And they made king [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem Ahaziah son his young in place of him for all the former [sons] it had killed the marauding band which came with the Arabs to the camp and he became king Ahaziah [the] son of Jehoram [the] king of Judah.

2 [was] a son of Forty and two year[s] Ahaziah when became king he and a year one he reigned in Jerusalem and [the] name of mother his [was] Athaliah [the] daughter of Omri.
U-Ahaziya wayeleminyaka engamatshumi amabili lambili ekubeni kwakhe yinkosi, njalo wabusa eJerusalema okomnyaka owodwa. Unina wayengu-Athaliya, umntanomntanakhe ka-Omri.
3 Also he he walked in [the] ways of [the] house of Ahab for mother his she was [female] counselor his to act wickedly.
Laye ngomunye owalandela izindlela zabendlu ka-Ahabi, ngoba unina wamkhuthaza ukwenza okubi.
4 And he did the evil in [the] eyes of Yahweh like [the] house of Ahab for they they were of him counselors after [the] death of father his to destruction of him.
Wona phambi kukaThixo, njengalokhu okwakwenziwe ngabendlu ka-Ahabi, ngoba ngemva kokufa kukayise bahle baba ngabacebisi bakhe, babangela ukuchitheka kwakhe.
5 Also in counsel their he walked and he went with Jehoram [the] son of Ahab [the] king of Israel to war on Hazael [the] king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead and they wounded the Arameans Joram.
Walalela ukweluleka kwabo aze ahambe loJoramu indodana ka-Ahabi inkosi yako-Israyeli empini yokuhlasela uHazayeli inkosi yase-Aramu eRamothi Giliyadi. Ama-Aramu alimaza uJoramu;
6 And he returned to get himself healed in Jezreel for the wounds which they had wounded him at Ramah when fought he with Hazael [the] king of Aram and Azariah [the] son of Jehoram [the] king of Judah he went down to see Jehoram [the] son of Ahab in Jezreel for [was] being ill he.
wahle wabuyela eJezerili ukuba ayephozisa amanxeba okulinyazwa kwakhe eRama ekulweni kwakhe loHazayeli inkosi yase-Aramu. Ngakho u-Ahaziya indodana kaJehoramu inkosi yakoJuda waya eJezerili ukuyabona uJoramu indodana ka-Ahabi njengoba wayeselimele.
7 And from God it was [the] downfall of Ahaziah by going to Joram and when went he he went out with Jehoram to Jehu [the] son of Nimshi whom he had anointed him Yahweh to cut off [the] house of Ahab.
Ngokwethekelela kuka-Ahaziya kuJoramu, uNkulunkulu wayemise ukumbhubhisa u-Ahaziya. Ngoba ekufikeni kwakhe khonale wahle waphuma loJoramu ukuyahlangabeza uJehu indodana kaNimishi owayegcotshwe nguThixo ukubhubhisa indlu ka-Ahabi.
8 And it was when entered into judgment Jehu with [the] house of Ahab and he found [the] officials of Judah and [the] sons of [the] brothers of Ahaziah serving Ahaziah and he killed them.
Kwathi lapho uJehu esenza lokhu okuyifaneleyo indlu ka-Ahabi, wahlangana lezikhulu zakoJuda lamadodana abafowabo baka-Ahaziya ababesebenzela u-Ahaziya, wababulala.
9 And he sought to find Ahaziah and people captured him and he [was] hiding himself in Samaria and they brought him to Jehu and they put to death him and they buried him for they said [was] [the] son of Jehoshaphat he who he sought Yahweh with all heart his and not for [the] house of Ahaziah to retain strength for kingship.
Wasedinga u-Ahaziya abantu bakhe bambamba esecatshile eSamariya, bamletha kuJehu, wabulawa. Bamngcwaba ngoba bathi: “Wayeyindodana kaJehoshafathi owadinga uThixo ngenhliziyo yakhe yonke.” Ngakho kwakungaselamuntu endlini ka-Ahaziya olamandla okuwumisa umbuso.
10 And Athaliah [the] mother of Ahaziah she saw that he was dead son her and she arose and she destroyed all [the] offspring of royalty of [the] house of Judah.
Kwathi u-Athaliya unina ka-Ahaziya esebonile ukuthi indodana yakhe isifile, waqhubekela phambili edinga ukubhubhisa umndlunkulu wendlu yakoJuda.
11 And she took Jehoshabeath [the] daughter of the king Joash [the] son of Ahaziah and she stole him from among [the] sons of the king who were being put to death and she put him and suckling-nurse his in [the] chamber of the beds and she hid him Jehoshabeath [the] daughter of the king Jehoram [the] wife of Jehoiada the priest for she she was [the] sister of Ahaziah from before Athaliah and not she killed him.
Kodwa uJehoshabhiyathi, indodakazi yenkosi uJehoramu, watshontsha uJowashi indodana ka-Ahaziya phakathi kwamakhosana omndlunkulu ayesezabhujiswa wamfihla endlini yakhe yokulala kanye lomlizane wakhe. Njengoba uJehoshebha indodakazi yenkosi uJehoramu wayengumkaJehoyada umphristi njalo engudadewabo ka-Ahaziya, wamfihla umntwana ukuze angabulawa ngu-Athaliya.
12 And he was with them in [the] house of God hiding six years and Athaliah [was] reigning over the land.
Wacatsha labo ethempelini likaNkulunkulu okweminyaka eyisithupha yokubusa kuka-Athaliya elizweni.
