1 Peter 1
1 Peter an apostle of Jesus Christ To [the] elect sojourners of [the] Dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
Petrus, Jesu Kristi apostel, hälsar de utvalda främlingar som bo kringspridda i Pontus, Galatien, Kappadocien, provinsen Asien och Bitynien,
2 according to [the] foreknowledge of God [the] Father by [the] sanctification of [the] Spirit unto [the] obedience and sprinkling of [the] blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace would be multiplied.
utvalda enligt Guds, Faderns, försyn, i helgelse i Anden, till lydnad och till bestänkelse med Jesu Kristi blod. Nåd och frid föröke sig hos eder.
3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of the Lord of us Jesus Christ, the [One] according to the great of Him mercy having begotten again us to a hope living through [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ out from [the] dead,
Lovad vare vår Herres, Jesu Kristi, Gud och Fader, som efter sin stora barmhärtighet har genom Jesu Kristi uppståndelse från de döda fött oss på nytt till ett levande hopp,
4 to an inheritance imperishable and undefiled and unfading reserved in [the] heavens for (you *NK(O)*)
till ett oförgängligt, obesmittat och ovanskligt arv, som i himmelen är förvarat åt eder,
5 who by [the] power of God [are] being guarded through faith for [the] salvation ready to be revealed in [the] time last;
I som med Guds makt bliven genom tro bevarade till en frälsning som är beredd för att uppenbaras i den yttersta tiden.
6 in which you greatly rejoice for a little while at present, if being necessary it is, (having been put to grief *NK(o)*) by various trials
Därför mån I fröjda eder, om I ock nu en liten tid, där så måste ske, liden bedrövelse under allahanda prövningar,
7 so that the proven genuineness of your faith (more precious *N(k)O*) than gold which is perishing through fire though being refined it may be discovered towards praise and (towards *o*) glory and honor in [the] revelation of Jesus Christ;
för att, om eder tro håller provet -- vilket är mycket mer värt än guldet, som förgås, men som dock genom eld bliver beprövat -- detta må befinnas lända eder till pris, härlighet och ära vid Jesu Kristi uppenbarelse.
8 whom not (having seen *N(k)O*) you love, on whom now [though] not seeing believing now (you yourself rejoice *NK(o)*) with joy inexpressible and glory-filled,
Honom älsken I utan att hava sett honom; och fastän I ännu icke sen honom, tron I dock på honom och fröjden eder över honom med outsäglig och härlig glädje,
9 receiving the outcome of the faith of you, [the] salvation of [your] souls;
då I nu ären på väg att vinna det som är målet för eder tro, nämligen edra själars frälsning.
10 Concerning this salvation sought out and searched out diligently [the] prophets of the toward you grace having prophesied,
Angående denna frälsning hava profeter ivrigt forskat och rannsakat, de som profeterade om den nåd som skulle vederfaras eder.
11 inquiring into what or what manner of time was signifying the in them Spirit of Christ testifying beforehand unto Christ's sufferings and the after these glories;
De hava rannsakat för att finna vilken och hurudan tid det var som Kristi Ande i dem hänvisade till, när han förebådade de lidanden som skulle vederfaras Kristus, och den härlighet som därefter skulle följa.
12 to whom it was revealed that not themselves (you *N(K)O*) however they were serving in those things which now have been proclaimed to you through those having evangelised you by [the] Spirit Holy having been sent from heaven, into which desire angels to look.
Och det blev uppenbarat för dem att det icke var sig själva, utan eder, som de tjänade härmed. Om samma ting har nu en förkunnelse kommit till eder genom de män som i helig ande, nedsänd från himmelen, hava för eder predikat evangelium; och i de tingen åstunda jämväl änglar att skåda in.
13 Therefore having girded up the loins of the mind of you, being sober-minded, fully do set [your] hope upon which is being brought to you grace in [the] revelation of Jesus Christ.
Omgjorden därför edert sinnes länder och varen nyktra; och sätten med full tillit edert hopp till den nåd som bjudes eder i och med Jesu Kristi uppenbarelse.
14 as children of obedience not fashioning yourselves to the former in the ignorance of you desires,
Då I nu haven kommit till lydnad, så följen icke de begärelser som I förut, under eder okunnighets tid, levden i,
15 But as the [One] having called you [is] holy also yourselves holy in all [your] conduct do be,
utan bliven heliga i all eder vandel, såsom han som har kallat eder är helig.
16 because it has been written: (that *no*) Holy (you will be, *N(k)(o)*) because I myself holy (am. *NK*)
Det är ju skrivet: "I skolen vara heliga, ty jag är helig."
17 And if [as] Father you call on the [One] impartially judging according to the of each work, in fear during the of the sojourn of you time do conduct yourselves;
Och om I såsom Fader åkallen honom som utan anseende till personen dömer var och en efter hans gärningar, så vandren ock i fruktan under denna edert främlingsskaps tid.
18 knowing that not by perishable things — by silver or by gold — you were redeemed from the futile of you manner of life handed down from [your] fathers,
I veten ju att det icke är med förgängliga ting, med silver eller guld, som I haven blivit "lösköpta" från den vandel I förden i fåfänglighet, efter fädernas sätt,
19 but by [the] precious blood as of a lamb without blemish and without spot of Christ,
utan med Kristi dyra blod, såsom med blodet av ett felfritt lamm utan fläck.
20 foreknown indeed before [the] foundation [the] world, having been revealed however in ([this] last *N(k)O*) of the times for the sake of you
Så var förutsett om honom före världens begynnelse; men först nu i de yttersta tiderna har han blivit uppenbarad för eder skull,
21 who through Him (believing *N(k)O*) in God, the [one] having raised up Him out from [the] dead and glory Him having given, so as for the faith of you and hope to be in God.
I som genom honom tron på Gud, vilken uppväckte honom från de döda och gav honom härlighet, så att eder tro nu ock kan vara ett hopp till Gud.
22 The souls of you having purified by obedience to the truth (through spirit *K*) unto brotherly love sincere out of purity of heart one another do love fervently;
Renen edra själar, i lydnad för sanningen, till oskrymtad broderlig kärlek, och älsken varandra av hjärtat med uthållig kärlek,
23 born again not of seed perishable but of imperishable through [the] word living of God and abiding (into the age; *K*) (aiōn g165)
I som ären födda på nytt, icke av någon förgänglig säd, utan av en oförgänglig: genom Guds levande ord, som förbliver. (aiōn g165)
24 because All flesh [is] like grass, and all [the] glory (of it *N(K)O*) like [the] flower of grass; Withers the grass, and the flower (of him *K*) falls away;
Ty "allt kött är såsom gräs och all dess härlighet såsom gräsets blomster; gräset torkar bort, och blomstret faller av,
