Zechariah 8
1 And the word of Yahweh of hosts came, saying:
Depois veio a palavra do SENHOR dos exércitos, dizendo:
2 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, I am jealous for Zion with a great jealousy, —Yea, with great wrath, am I jealous for her.
Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Tenho grande zelo por Sião, e com grande furor zelo por ela.
3 Thus, saith Yahweh, I have returned unto Zion, and will make my habitation in the midst of Jerusalem, —and Jerusalem, shall be called, The city of fidelity, and the mountain of Yahweh of hosts, The mountain of holiness.
Assim diz o SENHOR: Eu voltarei a Sião, e habitarei no meio de Jerusalém. E Jerusalém será chamada Cidade da Verdade, e o monte do SENHOR dos exércitos, Monte Santo.
4 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Yet shall old men and old women sit in the broadways of Jerusalem, —Yea, each one with his staff in his hand for multitude of days:
Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Novamente idosos e idosas se sentarão nas praças de Jerusalém, e cada um terá seu bordão em sua mão, por causa da abundância de dias.
5 And, the broadways of the city, shall be full of boys and girls, —playing in the broadways thereof.
E as ruas da cidade se encherão de meninos e meninas, brincando em suas ruas.
6 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Because it will be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people, in those days, In mine own eyes also, shall it be marvellous? Demandeth Yahweh of hosts.
Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Se isto era extraordinário demais aos olhos do restante do povo naqueles dias, seria também extraordinário demais aos meus olhos? Diz o SENHOR dos exércitos.
7 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Behold me! saving my people out of the land of the dawn, —and out of the land of the going in of the sun;
Assim disse o SENHOR dos exércitos: Eis que salvarei o meu povo da terra do oriente, e da terra do ocidente.
8 And I will bring them in, and they shall have their habitation in the midst of Jerusalem, —and shall become my people, and, I, will become their God, In faithfulness and in righteousness.
Eu os trarei, e habitarão no meio de Jerusalém; e eles serão meu povo, e eu serei o Deus deles em verdade e em justiça.
9 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Let your hands be strong, ye who are hearing, in these days, these words, —from the mouth of the prophets who, on the day the house of Yahweh of hosts, was founded, [foretold] that, the temple, should be built: —
Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Sejam fortes vossas mãos, vós que nestes dias ouvistes estas palavras da boca dos profetas que estiveram no dia em que foi posto o fundamento da casa do SENHOR dos exércitos, para que o templo fosse edificado.
10 That, before those days, hire for man, could not be obtained, and, hire for beast, was there none, —and, neither to him who went out nor to him who came in, was there success by reason of the danger, Yea I let all men loose, each one against his neighbour.
Porque antes daqueles dias não houve salário para homem, nem salário para animal, e o que entrava e o que saía não tinha paz por causa do inimigo, porque eu mandei a todos, cada um contra seu próximo.
11 But, now, not as in the former days, am I to this remnant of the people, —Declareth Yahweh of hosts;
Mas agora com o resto deste povo não farei como nos dias passados, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos.
12 For, the seed, shall be secure—the vine, shall yield her fruit, and the land, yield her increase, and the heavens, yield their dew, —and I will cause this remnant of the people to inherit all these things.
Porque a semente será próspera, a vide dará seu fruto, a terra dará seu produto, e os céus darão seu orvalho; e farei o resto deste povo herdar tudo isto.
13 And it shall come to pass that—Just as ye had become a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, So, will I save you, and ye shall become a blessing, —Do not fear, let your hands, be strong.
E será, ó casa de Judá e casa de Israel, que, assim como fostes maldição entre as nações, assim também eu vos salvarei, e sereis bênção. Não temais, fortaleçam-se vossas mãos.
14 For, thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, Just as I planned to bring calamity upon you, when your fathers provoked me, saith Yahweh of hosts, —and I relented not,
Porque assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Assim como eu pensei vos fazer o mal quando vossos pais me provocaram à ira, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos, e não me arrependi;
15 So, have I again planned, in these days, to do good unto Jerusalem, and unto the house of Judah, —Do not fear!
Assim também voltei a pensar em fazer o bem a Jerusalém e à casa de Judá nestes dias; não temais.
16 These, are the things which ye shall do: Speak ye the truth, every man with his neighbour, truth and the sentence of peace, pronounce ye in your gates;
Estas são as coisas que deveis fazer: falai verdade cada qual com seu próximo; julgai em vossas portas verdade e juízo de paz:
17 And let, no man, devise, the injury of his neighbour, in your heart, and the oath of falsehood, do not love, —for, all these, are things which I hate, declareth Yahweh.
E ninguém planeje o mal em seu coração contra seu próximo, nem ameis o juramento falso; porque eu odeio todas estas coisas, diz o SENHOR
18 And the word of Yahweh of hosts came unto me, saying:
E a palavra do SENHOR dos exércitos veio a mim, dizendo:
19 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts—The fast of the fourth, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the eleventh, shall become to the house of Judah a gladness and a rejoicing, and pleasant appointed meetings, —But, truth and peace, see that ye love.
Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: O jejum do quarto, do quinto, do sétimo, e do décimo mês, se voltarão à casa de Judá serão para prazer e alegria, e para festividades solenes. Amai, pois, a verdade e a paz.
20 Thus, saith Yahweh of hoses, —It shall yet be that there shall come in peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities;
Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Ainda será que povos e moradores de muitas cidades virão,
21 And the inhabitants of one city, shall go, unto them of another, saying, Let us be going on to pacify the face of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of hosts, —I also, will go!
E irão os moradores de uma [cidade] à outra, dizendo: Vamos suplicar o favor do SENHOR, e buscar ao SENHOR dos exércitos. Eu também irei.
22 So shall enter many peoples, and strong nations, to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem, —and to pacify the face of Yahweh.
Assim muitos povos e poderosas nações virão para buscar ao SENHOR dos exércitos em Jerusalém, e suplicar o favor do SENHOR.
23 Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, In those days, [it shall be] that ten men out of all the tongues of the nations, shall take hold, —yea take hold of the skirt of every one that is a Jew, saying—We will go with you! For we have heard [that], God, is with you.
Assim diz o SENHOR dos exércitos: Naqueles dias será que dez homens de todas as línguas das nações, pegarão na orla da veste de um judeu, dizendo: Iremos convosco, porque temos ouvido que Deus está convosco.
