< Romans 3 >

1 What, then, is the preeminence of the Jew? Or what, the profit of his circumcision?
Erah ang abah, Jehudi loong ah Ranglajatte tokkhodi tumjih dak seela? Adoleh khoopkhan banlam hoon thaang ah tumjih dak jeela?
2 Much, every way: —First, indeed, that they were entrusted with the oracles of God.
Om, jaatrep ni dak jeela! Jaakhothoon ah Rangte ih Jehudi loong suh heh jengkhaap ah kap thukta.
3 For what? If some distrusted, shall their distrust make, the trust of God, void?
Enoothong mararah ih lamok tuungmaang rumka bah mamah ang ah? Erah loong asuh Rangte ah tatam tuungmaang rumka?
4 Far be it! But let, God, prove to be, true, albeit, every man, be false! Even as it is written—That thou mightest be declared righteous in thy words, and overcome when thou art in judgment.
Emah tah angka! Mina loongtang khoonglap ang abah uh, Rangte abah amiisak jaatjaat, Rangteele ni amah liiha, “Sen jeng an doh epunjih ah jaatjaat dongjeng etheng; sen mat ih johan doh sen ih ejen jaatjaat etheng.”
5 But, if, our unrighteousness, commendeth, God’s righteousness, what shall we say? Surely, not unrighteous, is God who visiteth with his anger? After the manner of men, I am speaking, —
Enoothong seng ethih re ih di uh Rangte ah epun jaatjaat ih boot jatthuk hali bah, seng ih mamet li ih? Heh ih chamnaang nyia tenkhat kohe doh Rangte ah emoong re ela ih emi li nih et ih? (Erah ah jojang ih cheng etjih tiit.)
6 Far be it! Else how shall God judge the world?
Emah babah uh tah angka! Rangte ih epun lamdoh lamok dande ri bah, mongrep ah tang heh ih mamet jen dande ah?
7 But, if, the truth of God, by my falsehood, hath the more abounded unto his glory, why, any longer, am, even I, as a sinner, to be judged?
Enoothong lapunkang bah uh Rangte mootkaat ah moh angno heh amiisak tiit ah ehan ih boot jatthuk ang bah, rangdah mina likhiik ngah ah mamah ma ih dut haat hang?
8 And why not, according as we are injuriously charged, [and] according as some affirm that we say, Let us do the bad things, that the good ones may come? whose sentence is, just.
Emah ang abah amah tatam maaliike, “Raahan ethi ah re ih, ese ah toom thok ha suh ah?” Amiimi di mararah mina ih nga ah kaanju hangno emamah mat ih jootcho! Erah loong ah dut haat et ah, tumeah neng ah edut haatjih jaatjaat.
9 What then? do we screen ourselves? Not at all! For we have before accused both Jews and Greeks of being, all under sin;
Ese, erah ang abah, Jehudi seng loong ah Ranglajatte nang ih tumjaat di dak se li? Tumjih di uh tadak seeke! Ngah ih ejen noisok ettang, Jehudi nyia Ranglajatte loongtang mina eliili rangdah ih panha,
10 Even as it is written—there is none righteous, not even one,
Rangteele ni liiha: “Wasiit taan o uh kateng tajeeka,
11 There is none that discerneth, There is none that seeketh out God:
wasiit taan uh thungsek amuk adoleh Rangte rangsoomte amuk.
12 All, have turned aside, together, have become useless, There is none that doeth kindness, not so much as one:
Thoontang Rangte jiin nawa doksoon eta; neng thoontang ethih lam ni kala; o uh tapun reeka, wasiit taan uh tapun reeka.
13 A sepulchre opened, is their throat, with their tongues, have they used deceit, the poison of asps, is under their lips,
Neng jengkhaap ah mangbeng luung likhiik; neng tuuhih ah eleek tiit baat theng, neng tuikhoop nawa jengkhaap loong ah echo ejih pu jik likhiik;
14 Whose mouth, of cursing and bitterness, is full,
neng tiitwaan adi khadikdik etamjam jengkhaap ih meela.
15 Swift, are their feet to shed blood;
Neng loong ah ethet haat nyia etek haat suh sukramram;
16 Destruction and misery, are in their ways,
neng maanah khoom ah neng pho adi ethih totoh.
17 And, the way of peace, have they not known:
Neng ih semroongroong lampo ah tajatka,
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
adoleh Rangte raacho ah neng ih tajatka.”
19 Now we know that, whatsoever things the law saith, to them who are within the law, it speaketh, in order that, every mouth, may be stopped and all the world come, under penal sentence, unto God.
Amadi seng ih jat ih di Hootthe dowa jaatrep ah, o mina erah Hootthe khu adi songtongte loong asuh ba baat ha, eno mina loong ah takah jeng thukka ang ah, nyia mongrep ah Rangte suh dande thuk ah.
20 Inasmuch as, by works of law, shall no flesh be declared righteous before him, —through law, in fact, is discovery of sin.
Erah thoih o Hootthe jun ih mola loong abah Rangte damdoh tapunka ang ah; Hootthe ih bah seng ah rangdah mina ih dongjat thuk suh ba liiha.
21 But now, apart from law, a righteousness of God hath been manifested, borne witness to by the law and the prophets, —
Enoothong amadi Rangte ih mina heh damdoh mame pun songtongjih rah dongjat etthuk hali. Erah raangtaan ih Moses Hootthe nyia Khowah loong ih haaki taat korum abah uh, Hootthe ah tumjih takah etke.
22 A righteousness of God, through faith in [Jesus] Christ, unto all that have faith; for there is no distinction, —
Mina loong ah Jisu Kristo suh laalom rumla jun ih Rangte ih kateng ang thuk rumla. Rangte ih erah Jisu Kristo suh laalomte loong raangtaan ih reeta, tumeah erah di edandeejih jihoh tumjih takah jeeka:
23 For, all, have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;
mirep ah rangdah ni ang thoidi Rangte ih puipang thengta dowa haloh ih hoon rumla.
24 Being declared righteous freely by his favour through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: —
Enoothong marah mina suh thaangmuh lakkot minchan korumha loong ah heh damdi neng pongwan angthukte Jisu Kristo jun ih kateng ang thuk rumla.
25 Whom God hath set forth as a propitiatory covering, through faith in his blood, for a showing forth of his righteousness, by reason of the passing-by of the previously committed sins,
Rangte ih Jisu Kristo ah loongtang khosa ih kokaat taha, heh sih janhaatta asuh laalom rum ano mina rangdah biin anaan raangtaan ih lampo ih hoon ah. Rangte ih Heh ah kateng ih noisok suh reeta. Teewadi bah mina rangdah ah hiiksok nyi enaan kah etta, amadoh bah ethih ese ah dande et ah, tumeah heh kateng ah noisok ah. Emamah ih Rangte ih heh ah kateng ih jatthuk hali erah raang ih o mina Jisu Kristo suh hanpiite loong ah uh kateng et hoon thukla.
26 In the forbearance of God, —with a view to a showing forth of his righteousness in the present season, that he might be righteous even when declaring righteous him that hath faith in Jesus.
27 Where, then, the boasting! It is excluded. Through what kind of law? Of works? Nay! but through a law of faith:
Erah ang abah, seng ngaampojih tumjih jeela? Tumjih uh tajeeka! Erah tumjih thoilam di hoonla? Hootthe lamphan kino tam angla? Tah angka! Seng hanpi jun ih angla.
28 For we reckon that a man is to be declared righteous by faith, apart from works of law.
Hethoondi seng ih jat idi, mina ih hanpi ehi jun ih ba Rangte ih kateng ih hoon thuk hali, Hootthe ih baat hali raangtaan ih tah angka.
29 Or, [is God] the God, of Jews only, and not of the nations also? Yea! of the nations also: —
Adoleh Rangte ah Jehudi loong Rangte laklak tam ang koka? Heh ah Ranglajatte Rangte tatam ang koka? Neng Rangte elang ju eah.
30 If, at all events, God is one, who will declare righteous—the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through their faith.
Rangte ah esiit, heh ih Jehudi nyi Ranglajatte loongtang neng laalom jun ih ba Rangte ngathong nah kateng ih hoon rum ah.
31 Do we then make, law, void through means of our faith? Far be it! On the contrary, law, we do establish!
Emah ang abah laalom thoidoh Hootthe ah chiik haat tam et ih? Emah babah uh tah angka; erah nang ih bah Hootthe ah emaak etheng.
