< Proverbs 8 >

1 Doth not, wisdom, cry aloud? and, understanding, send forth her voice?
Chihnan kho ahin sap teng jatei ding gon, chule thil hetkhen nan lhang asap teng ngaijin.
2 At the top of the high places above the way, at the place where paths meet, she taketh her stand:
Lampi pam le lhangvum dung a, chihna chu ading le’in ahi.
3 Beside the gates, at the entrance of the city, —at the going in of the openings, she shouteth: —
Khopi lutna kelkot phung dung a, kholen tinchang maija, chule kotjum lutna thei jousea lhang asam in ahi.
4 Unto you, O men, I call, and, my voice, is unto the sons of men;
“Mijouse jah-a kakou ahin, mihem chapa jouse kakou ahi.
5 Understand, ye simple ones, shrewdness, and, ye dullards understand sense;
Milham ho nahiu vin, lunggel them hina din kihil un, mingol ho jeng in jong lunglut in ngaijun.
6 Hear, for, princely things, will I speak, and the opening of my lips shall be of equity;
Ngaitem un, keiman thil phachom tah nahil uvinge, kakam sunga kon thudih jengbou pot ding ahi.
7 For, faithfulness, shall my mouth softly utter, but, the abomination of my lips, shall be lawlessness;
Ajeh chu kakam in thudih bou aseiji ding, adihlou sei kiti hi kakam in ajahda ahi.
8 In righteousness, shall be all the sayings of my mouth, nothing therein, shall be crafty or perverse;
Kakam akon thu kisei jouse adih ahin, akikal le ache khel ding ima umlou ahi.
9 All of them, shall be plain, to them who would understand, and just, to such as would gain knowledge.
Kathu hil hekhen theipa chun adih akisan ding, hetthemna neipa dinga chu adih bou ahi.
10 Receive my correction, and not silver, and knowledge, rather than choicest gold.
Sumlepai sang in kathu hil kilhen un, Sana thengsel sanga jong hetna naki lhen joh diu ahi.
11 For better is wisdom, than ornaments of coral, and, no delightful things, can equal her.
Ajeh chu sana kijem pah sanga chihna hi thupi ahin, na lungdei chan toh kitekah thei ahipoi.
12 I, wisdom, inhabit shrewdness, —and, the knowledge of sagacious things, I gain.
Chihna hi keima kahin chingthei tah’a um kahi, hetna le thil hetkhen themna nei kahi.
13 The reverence of Yahweh, is to hate wickedness: pride, arrogance, and the way of wickedness; And a mouth of perverse things, do I hate.
Pakai ginna chun thilse ahotbol in, hijeh chun keiman kiletsahna le hoithona, thil aphalou, ahilou louva thu kisei chan chu kathet ahi.
14 Mine, are counsel, and effective working, I, am understanding, mine, is valour:
Keima’a kon hin, chihna giltah le phachom tah’a kihilna aum in, asung thua hetna le thahat chu keija bou um ahi.
15 By me, kings reign, and dignitaries decree righteousness;
Keijal’a lenghon vai-apoh ahin, keijal’a bou vaihom ten adih’a thu tanna anei ahi.
16 By me, rulers govern, and nobles—all the righteous judges:
Keijal’a alen alal ten vai ahop jiu, chule keijal’a bou alal ten vai apoh theiyu ahi.
17 I love, them who love me, and, they who diligently seek me, find me:
Keima eingailu ho kangailun, giltah’a eihol ten eimu tei jiuvin ahi.
18 Riches and honour, are with me, lordly wealth, and righteousness;
Keima haona le jabolna jousen eijui in, phattheina le haona chun eidalha jipoi.
19 Better is my fruit, than gold—yea fine gold, and mine increase, than choice silver;
Ka thilpeh hohi sana sanga phachom ahin, sana thengsel sanga jong hoijoa, chule kanatoh jong sum le pai sanga phajo ahi.
20 In the way of righteousness, I march along, in the middle of the paths of justice:
Keima thudihtah’a lamlha jing kahin, thutanna adih lam jeng chu kaho-ji ahi.
21 That I may cause them who love me to inherit substance, and, their treasuries, I may fill.
Keima eingailu hon gou alo diu kasem peh in, agou kholnau jouse kasuh dimpeh-jin ahi.
22 Yahweh, had constituted me the beginning of his way, before his works, at the commencement of that time;
Pakaiyin atil abulla athilsem apat ei-umsah ahin, khanglui apat athilsem masapen kahitai.
23 At the outset of the ages, had I been established, in advance of the antiquities of the earth;
Atil-a leiset kisem masang, kum asang sang masanga pat keima tundohsa chu kahi tai.
24 When there was no resounding deep, I had been brought forth, when there were no fountains, abounding with water;
Kapen chun anim-atong lai jong ana um pon, twi putna jouse jong khatcha ana um poi.
25 Ere yet the mountains had been settled, before the hills, had I been brought forth;
Mol le lhang kigol toh masang, chule thinglhang jouse kisemtoh masanga pat ana um kahitai.
26 Or ever he had made the land and the wastes, or the top of the dry parts of the world:
Pathen in leiset le tollhang asem masang, vannoija leigum kisemdoh masanga pat um kahi.
27 When he prepared the heavens, there, was I! When he decreed a vault upon the face of the resounding deep;
Pathen in vanho atundoh masanga um kahin, twikhanglen kuol khum vanthamjol alhundoh masanga jong um kahitai.
28 When he made firm the skies above, when the fountains of the resounding deep, waxed strong;
Pathen in chunglam’a vanthamjol ho atundoh ahin, leinoiya pat twi aput dohsah masanga jong um kahin,
29 When he fixed for the sea its bound, that, the waters, should not go beyond his bidding, when he decreed the foundations of the earth: —
Twikhanglen geigol jong alet lhahna lou dinga asem toh, twipi jeng in jong athu angaina dinga asem toh, leiset khompi jouse jong atundoh masanga pat um kahi.
30 Then became I beside him, a firm and sure worker, then became I filled with delight, day by day, exulting before him on every occasion;
Keima tah jong akom-cha’a khut them bang um kahin, nitin le phattin in akom-a kapansan kipatah in kaum jing in ahi.
31 Exulting in the fruitful land of his earth, Yea, my fulness of delight, was with the sons of men.
Pathen in mihemte chenna dia leiset atundoh ahin, keima jong kipah tah-in kaum in, mihemte lah’a thanopnan kadim e.
32 Now, therefore, ye sons, hearken to me, for how happy are they who, to my ways, pay regard!
Hijeh chun kachate ho kasei ngaijun, kathu ngaija ka lampia che jing ho kipah ding’u ahi.
33 Hear ye correction, and be wise, and do not neglect.
Kathuhil ho ngaijun lang ching theijun, kahilchah-nau hi tuh chah jing un.
34 How happy the man that doth hearken to me, —keeping guard at my doors, day by day, watching at the posts of my gates;
Ka thusei ngaija mihem chu anunnom hi ding, amachun nitin’a kakot phunga anga jing ding, ka kotpi phunga tatlouvin ading in ahi
35 For, he that findeth me, findeth life, and hath obtained favour from Yahweh;
Ajeh chu keima eimudoh chan chun hinna akimu tan, chule Pakaija kon in hepina achang'un ahi.
36 But, he that misseth me, wrongeth his own soul, all who hate me, love death.
Amavang keima eidonlou chan chun, ama le aman gimna akimu jin, keima ei hot chan chun, thina jeng angai chat ahibouve.”
