Isaiah 34
1 Come near ye nations to hear, And, ye races, attend, —Let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof, The world and all things produced therefrom:
நாடுகளே, நீங்கள் அருகில் வந்து கேளுங்கள்; மக்கள் கூட்டங்களே, நீங்கள் கவனியுங்கள். பூமியும் அதிலுள்ள யாவும் கேட்கட்டும், உலகமும் அதிலிருந்து வரும் அனைத்தும் கேட்கட்டும்.
2 That Yahweh hath wrath against all the nations, and indignation against all their host, —He hath devoted them to destruction He hath delivered them to slaughter;
யெகோவா எல்லா நாடுகளோடும் கோபமாயிருக்கிறார்; அவருடைய கோபம் அவர்களுடைய எல்லா இராணுவத்தின்மேலும் இருக்கிறது. அவர் அவர்களை முற்றிலும் அழிப்பார்; அவர் அவர்களைக் கொலைக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார்.
3 And their slain shall be cast out, And their carcases, the stench of them shall ascend, —And, the mountains, shall melt away with their blood.
அவர்களில் கொலைசெய்யப்பட்டவர்கள் வெளியே எறியப்படுவார்கள், இறந்தவர்களின் உடல்கள் துர்நாற்றம் வீசும்; மலைகள் அவர்களுடைய இரத்தத்தினால் ஊறியிருக்கும்.
4 Then shall be dissolved all the host of the heavens, And the heavens shall roll up as a scroll, —Yea, all their host, shall fade—Like the fading and falling of a leaf from a vine, and Like what fadeth and falleth from a fig-tree.
வானத்து நட்சத்திரங்கள் அனைத்தும் இல்லாமற்போகும்; ஆகாயம் ஒரு சுருளைப்போல் சுருட்டப்படும். வானசேனை அனைத்தும் திராட்சைக் கொடியிலிருந்து வாடிய இலைகள் உதிர்வதுபோலவும், சூம்பிப்போன காய்கள் அத்திமரத்திலிருந்து விழுவதுபோலவும் விழும்.
5 For my sword hath been sated in the heavens, —Lo! upon Edom, shall it descend, Even on the people whom I have devoted to justice.
எனது வாள் தன் நிறைவை வானங்களில் குடித்திருக்கிறது; இதோ, நான் முழுவதும் அழித்துப்போட்ட ஏதோம் மக்களை நியாயந்தீர்ப்பதற்காக அது கீழே வருகிறது.
6 A sword, hath Yahweh—Glutted with blood Sated with fat, —With the blood of well-fed lambs and he-goats, With the fat of the kidneys of rams, —For, a sacrifice, hath Yahweh in Bozrah, Yea a great slaughter in the land of Edom;
யெகோவாவின் வாள் இரத்தத்தில் தோய்ந்திருக்கிறது, அது கொழுப்பினால் மூடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. அது செம்மறியாட்டுக் குட்டிகள், கடாக்களுடைய இரத்தத்தாலும், செம்மறியாட்டுக் கடாக்களின் சிறுநீரகக் கொழுப்பினாலும் மூடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. ஏனெனில் யெகோவா போஸ்றா பட்டணத்தில் ஒரு பலியையும், ஏதோமில் ஒரு வதையையும் நியமித்திருக்கிறார்.
7 Then shall buffaloes come down with them, And bullocks with bulls, —So shall their land be soaked with blood, And, their dust, with fat, shall be enriched.
காளைக் கன்றுகளும், பெரும் எருதுகளுமாக காட்டெருதுகள் அவைகளுடன் விழும். அவர்களுடைய நாடு இரத்தத்தில் தோய்ந்திருக்கும், புழுதியும் கொழுப்பில் ஊறியிருக்கும்.
8 For a day of avenging, hath Yahweh, —A year of requitals for the quarrel of Zion.
ஏனெனில் யெகோவா பழிவாங்கும் நாளொன்றை வைத்திருக்கிறார்; சீயோனின் வழக்கில் நீதி வழங்குவதற்காக ஒரு வருடத்தை வைத்திருக்கிறார்.
9 Then shall the torrents thereof be turned into pitch, And the dust thereof, into brimstone, —So shall her land become burning pitch:
ஏதோமின் நீரோடைகள் நிலக்கீலாக மாறும், நிலத்தின் புழுதி எரியும் கந்தகமாகவும், அதன் நிலம் எரியும் கீலாகவும் மாறும்.
10 Neither night nor day, shall it be quenched, To times age-abiding, shall ascend the smoke thereof, —From generation to generation, shall it be waste, Never, never, shall any pass through it:
அது இரவிலும் பகலிலும் தணிக்க முடியாதபடி இருக்கும்; அதன் புகை என்றென்றும் புகைந்துகொண்டே இருக்கும். தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக அது பாழடைந்து கிடக்கும், மீண்டும் அதன் ஊடாக யாரும் போகமாட்டார்கள்.
11 That the vomiting pelican and the bittern may possess it: And the great owl and the raven, dwell therein; Then will he stretch out over it The line of desolation, and The plummet of emptiness.
பாலைவன ஆந்தையும் அலறும் ஆந்தையும் அதைத் தங்கள் உடைமை ஆக்கிக்கொள்ளும்; பெரிய ஆந்தையும், காகமும் தமது கூடுகளை அங்கு அமைக்கும். இறைவன் ஏதோமுக்கு மேலாக குழப்பத்தின் அளவுகோலையும், அழிவின் தூக்கு நூலையும் நீட்டிப் பிடிப்பார்.
12 Her nobles (but none, are, there)! unto royalty, will call, —All, all her princes, shall become nought.
உயர்குடி மக்களுக்கு அரசு எனச் சொல்லிக்கொள்ள அங்கு ஒன்றுமே இராது; இளவரசர்கள் அனைவரும் இல்லாமல் போவார்கள்.
13 Then shall come up, in her palaces thorns Nettles and thistles in her fortresses, —And she shall become A home for wild dogs, An enclosure for ostriches;
அதனுடைய அரண்செய்யப்பட்ட பட்டணங்களின்மேல் முட்செடிகள் படரும்; காஞ்சொறிகளும் கள்ளிச்செடிகளும் அதன் கோட்டைகளில் படரும். அது நரிகளுக்குத் தங்குமிடமும் ஆந்தைகளுக்கு குடியிருப்புமாகும்.
14 Then shall criers meet with howlers, And, the shaggy creature, unto his fellow, shall call, —Only, there, shall, the night-spectre, Make her settlement, And find for herself a place of rest:
பாலைவன பிராணிகளும், கழுதைப்புலிகளுடன் ஒன்றுசேரும்; காட்டாடுகளும் ஒன்றையொன்று பார்த்துக் கத்தும். இரவுப் பிராணிகளும் அங்கு இளைப்பாறி தங்களுக்குத் தங்கும் இடங்களைத் தேடும்.
15 There, shall, the arrow-snake, Make her nest and lay, And hatch and gather under her shadow, —Only, there, shall be gathered the falcons, every one with her mate.
ஆந்தைகள் அங்கே கூடுகட்டி, முட்டையிட்டுக் குஞ்சு பொரித்து, அவைகளைத் தமது சிறகுகளின் நிழலில் பாதுகாக்கும்; வல்லூறுகளும் தத்தம் துணையுடன் அங்கே வந்துசேரும்.
16 Seek ye out of the scroll of Yahweh, and read, Not, one from among them, is lacking, None, hath missed, her mate, —For, a mouth, hath, itself commanded, And, his spirit, hath itself gathered them:
யெகோவாவின் புத்தகச்சுருளை தேடி வாசியுங்கள்: இவற்றில் ஒன்றாவது தவறிப்போகாது, ஒன்றாவது தனக்குத் துணையில்லாமல் இராது; யெகோவாவின் வாயே இந்தக் கட்டளையைக் கொடுத்தது, அவரின் ஆவியானவர் இவற்றை ஒன்றுசேர்ப்பார்.
17 Yea he himself, hath cast for them a lot, And his own hand, hath given to them a portion by line, —Unto times age-abiding, shall they possess it, To generation after generation, shall they dwell therein.
அவற்றிற்குரிய பாகங்களை அவரே பங்கிடுகிறார்; அவருடைய கரமே அவற்றை அளவுகளின்படி பகிர்ந்து கொடுக்கின்றன. அவை என்றென்றைக்கும் அதைத் தங்கள் சொந்தமாக்கி, தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக அங்கே குடியிருக்கும்.
