Deuteronomy 34
1 So then Moses went up, from the waste plains of Moab into Mount Nebo, the head of Pisgah, which is over against Jericho, —and Yahweh showed him all the land—even Gilead as far as Dan;
Şi Moise s-a urcat din câmpiile Moabului pe muntele Nebo, pe vârful muntelui Pisga, care este în dreptul Ierihonului. Şi DOMNUL i-a arătat toată ţara lui Galaad până la Dan,
2 and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, —and all the land of Judah, as far as the hinder sea;
Şi tot Neftali şi ţara lui Efraim şi Manase şi toată ţara lui Iuda, până la marea cea mai îndepărtată,
3 and the South, —and the circuit of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees as far as Zoar.
Şi sudul şi câmpia văii Ierihonului, cetatea palmierilor, până la Ţoar.
4 And Yahweh said unto him—This, is the land which I sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed, will I give it. I have let thee see with thine own eyes, But thither, shalt thou not pass over.
Şi DOMNUL i-a spus: Aceasta este ţara pe care am jurat-o lui Avraam, lui Isaac şi lui Iacob, spunând: O voi da seminţei tale, te-am făcut să o vezi cu ochii tăi, dar tu nu vei trece în ea.
5 So Moses, the servant of Yahweh, died there, in the land of Moab, at the bidding of Yahweh;
Şi Moise, servitorul DOMNULUI, a murit acolo în ţara Moabului, conform cuvântului DOMNULUI.
6 and he buried him, in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor, —but no man hath known his burying-place, until this day.
Şi el l-a înmormântat într-o vale în ţara Moabului, faţă în faţă cu Bet-Peor şi nimeni nu ştie mormântul lui până în ziua aceasta.
7 Now, Moses, was a hundred and twenty years old, when he died, —his eye had not dimmed, nor had his freshness fled.
Şi Moise era în vârstă de o sută două zeci de ani când a murit, ochiul său nu se întunecase, nici vigoarea lui nu îl părăsise.
8 And the sons of Israel bewailed Moses in the waste plains of Moab thirty days, —then were completed the wailing-days of the mourning for Moses.
Şi copiii lui Israel l-au plâns pe Moise treizeci de zile în câmpiile Moabului; şi zilele plânsului şi jelirii pentru Moise s-au sfârşit.
9 But, Joshua, son of Nun, was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands upon him, —so the sons of Israel hearkened unto him, and did, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
Şi Iosua, fiul lui Nun, era plin de duhul înţelepciunii, pentru că Moise îşi pusese mâinile peste el, şi copiii lui Israel i-au dat ascultare şi au făcut precum poruncise DOMNUL lui Moise.
10 And there arose not a prophet any more in Israel, like unto Moses, —whom Yahweh acknowledged, face to face;
Şi nu s-a mai ridicat profet în Israel ca Moise, pe care să îl fi cunoscut DOMNUL faţă către faţă,
11 by all the signs and the wonders which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, —unto Pharaoh and unto all his servants and unto all his land;
În toate semnele şi minunile pe care DOMNUL l-a trimis să le facă în ţara Egiptului lui Faraon şi tuturor servitorilor lui şi întregii lui ţări,
12 and by all the firm hand, and by all the great terror which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel.
Şi cu toată acea mână puternică şi în toate lucrurile mari şi în toată groaza mare pe care Moise le-a arătat înaintea ochilor întregului Israel.
