< 1 Timothy 3 >

1 If anyone, for oversight, is eager, a noble work, doth he covet: —
Arah amiisak tiit: Miwah ah chaas phansiitte angsuh li abah, heh ih mootse thoon ah moot suh thunha.
2 It is needful, then, for, the overseer, to be irreproachable, a husband, of one wife, sober, of sound mind, orderly, hospitable, apt in teaching,
Chaas phansiitte ah moong ataang muh jaatjaat angtheng, heh sanuh ah esiit luulu jaatjaat angtheng, tenmang angtheng, heteewah jaatrep doh ejen naan ete nyia phanjangjang mina angtheng, heh nok nah sam awen ejen noppoonte jaatjaat angtheng; heh ih mih suh ejen nyootsoot ete jaatjaat etheng;
3 Not given to wine, not ready to wound, but considerate, averse to contention, not fond of money,
heh khammokte adoleh changrook mina lajaatjaat angjih, erah nang ih toongtang nyia semroongroong mina angtheng; heh ngun doh lamongnookte jaatjaat angtheng;
4 Over his own house, presiding, well, having, children, in submission, with all dignity;
heh changka ah naririh jen ih soksamte nyia hesuh hesah heh jeng chaatchaat ih ano heh soomtu arah mina jaatjaat angtheng.
5 Whereas, if anyone, over his own house, cannot, preside, how, of an assembly of God, shall he take care?
Tumeah heh ih heh changka ah lajen koonchaaka bah, Rangte chaas ah tang mamah maajen ih kooncha ah?
6 Not a new convert, lest, being beclouded, into the sentence of the adversary, he fall;
Heh hanpi nah thungsek angtheng, lah angka bah heh ah engaampo lam nah re ano Juungbaan luungwang dut haatta likhiik ih dut haat arah ang ah.
7 It is needful, moreover, to have, an honourable testimony also, from them who are without, lest, into reproach, he fall, and the snare of the adversary.
Heh ah chaas nah luulu lah angthang ih nokhoh phohoh nyia hahoh nah uh esoongraang ette mina jaat angtheng, eno ba heh ah rakriijih lampo nyia Juungbaan phoong nah tajen datka ang ah.
8 Ministers, in the same way, —dignified, not double-tongued, not, to much wine, given, not greedy of base gain,
Chaas roongchosokte loong ah uh neng ese dang ajang mina nyia jeng chaatchaat angtheng; neng khammokte nyia ngun doh nyamnyookte lah angjih jaatjaat;
9 Holding the sacred secret of the faith in a pure conscience;
Neng ih thungsek taksek lam ih amiisak tuungmaang tiit dongjat thuk ha ah rongrong ih kap etjih jaatjaat.
10 But let, these also, be proved first, then, let them be ministering, being, unaccusable:
Neng ah chaas roongchosokte ih thiin suh jaakhoh taatsok chaak etjih, eno jen lang eah ih thoijat eno ba erah loong ah mothuk theng.
11 Wives, in the same way, —dignified, not given to intrigue, sober, faithful in all things.
Neng sanuh loong rah uh ese dang ajang mina angtheng nyia mih joobaatte lah angjih jaatjaat, neng ah tenmang nyia seklilih angtheng.
12 Let, ministers, be husbands of, one wife, over children, presiding, well, and over their own houses;
Chaas roongchosokte loong sanuh ah esiit luulu angtheng, eno hesuh hesah nyia heh changka ah naririh ih miisoksamte angtheng.
13 For, they who have ministered well, a good degree for themselves, are acquiring, and great freedom of speech in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
Erah roongchosokte loong ah ih neng mootkaat ah naririh ih morum abah neng menset ese ang ah, eno Jisu Kristo suh tuungmaang tiitwaan ah lachoolaphaan jen baattaan rum ah.
14 These things, unto thee, I am writing, hoping to come [unto thee] shortly, —
Ngah an jiinnah seek ih dong ra hangno an japtup suh taat thunhang, ang abah uh arah le maat raang halang ah langla,
15 But, if I should tarry, that thou mayest know—how it behoveth, in a house of God, to behave oneself, —the which, is an assembly of a Living God, a pillar and basement of the truth; —
lamok jen ra rangdoh, arah le dowa ih sen suh Rangte changka nah mame reeraang pakna jih ah jatthuk han, erah changka ah Ething Rangte chaas, amiisak tiit raang ih thonghong wokong likhiik.
16 And, confessedly great, is the sacred secret of godliness, —Who was made manifest in flesh, was declared righteous in spirit, was made visible unto messengers, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
Seng thooroom ah husah ni tumthan rak ah o ih uh tajen daanka ang ah: Heh ah mina jun ih dong taha, Eno Chiiala ih amiisak ih noisokta, nyia Rangsah loong ih tup rumta Heh tiit ah deek akaan rookwih tumbaatta, mongrep thoontang ni heh suh hanpi rumta, eno rangmong ni toonsiit wanta.
