< Psalms 17 >
1 A Prayer of David. Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry; give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.
Dāvida lūgšana. Kungs, ņem vērā taisnību, klausies uz manu brēkšanu, griez savas ausis uz manu lūgšanu, kas nenāk no viltīgām lūpām.
2 Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes look upon equity.
No tava vaiga lai nāk mana tiesa; tavas acis skatās uz to, kas ir taisnība.
3 Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and findest nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
Tu pārbaudi manu sirdi, Tu piemeklē to naktīs, Tu mani esi kausējis un nekā neatradis; es esmu apņēmies, ka manai mutei nebūs pārkāpt.
4 As for the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the ways of the violent.
Pie cilvēku darbiem es sargos caur Tavas mutes vārdu no pārkāpēja pēdām.
5 My steps have held fast to thy paths, my feet have not slipped.
Uzturi manu gājienu uz Taviem ceļiem, ka mani soļi nešaubās.
6 I have called upon thee, for thou wilt answer me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, [and] hear my speech.
Es Tevi piesaucu, jo Tu mani paklausi, ak Dievs! Griez' Savu ausi pie manis, klausi manu valodu.
7 Shew thy marvelous lovingkindness, O thou that savest them which put their trust [in thee] from those that rise up [against them], by thy right hand.
Parādi brīnišķi Savu žēlastību, Tu, kas glābi no pretiniekiem tos, kas tvērās pie Tavas labās rokas.
8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
Pasargi mani kā acs raugu acī, apslēp mani savu spārnu pavēnī
9 From the wicked that spoil me, my deadly enemies, that compass me about.
No bezdievīgo vaiga, kas mani posta, no maniem nikniem ienaidniekiem, kas ap mani apmetās.
10 They are enclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
Savu cieto sirdi tie aizslēguši, ar savu muti tie runā lepni.
11 They have now compassed us in our steps: they set their eyes to cast [us] down to the earth.
Tie nu ir visapkārt ap mums mūsu ceļos, ar savām acīm tie glūn, mūs gāzt pie zemes.
12 He is like a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
Viņa ģīmis ir kā lauva, kas tīko saplosīt, un kā jauns lauva, kas sēž paslēpies.
13 Arise, O LORD, confront him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked by thy sword;
Celies, Kungs, steidzies viņam pretī, nogāz viņu, izglāb ar Savu zobenu manu dvēseli no bezdievīgā,
14 From men, by thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, whose portion is in [this] life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy treasure: they are satisfied with children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
No tiem ļaudīm ar Savu roku, ak Kungs! no šās pasaules ļaudīm, kam sava tiesa ir šai dzīvībā, kam vēderu Tu pildi ar Savu mantu, kam dēlu papilnam, un kas savu mantu atstāj saviem bērniem.
15 As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
Bet es skatīšu Tavu vaigu iekš taisnības, uzmodies mielošos no Tava ģīmja.
