< 1 Timothy 1 >
1 From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the appointment of God, our Savior, and Christ Jesus, our hope.
Hiche lekhathot hi Christa Yeshua solchah, Pathen eihuhhingpu'u thupeh le kinepna eipeuvah Christa Yeshua pansah, Paul, a kon ahi.
2 To Timothy, my true child in the faith: May God, the Father, and Christ Jesus, our Lord, bless you, and be merciful to you, and give you peace.
Keiman tahsan jal a chapa deitah Timothy henga dinga kasut ahi. Pa Pathen leh Pakai Yeshua lungsetna leh khotona chuleh chamnan naumpihen.
3 I beg you, as I did when I was on my way into Macedonia, to remain at Ephesus; so that you may instruct certain people there not to teach new and strange doctrines,
Macedonia jona kanache laiya Ephesus mun'ah uminlang thuhil dihlouho suthip in kati bangin, aphachomlou thusim seileh khanggui thuseina'a kihoulimna ho chu anasutangin, hiche ho chun Pathen tahsanna lama khantouna asosah theipon ahi.
4 nor to devote their attention to legends and interminable genealogies, which tend to give rise to argument rather than to further that divine plan which is revealed in the faith.
Aphachomlou thusim seileh khanglui thuseina-a kihoulimna ho chu anasutangin, hiche ho chun Pathen tahsanna lamah khantouna asosah theipon ahi.
5 The object of all instruction is to call forth that love which comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith.
Keiman nang kathuhilna-a katup chu ahileh tahsan chate jouse hi lungthim thengtah a selepha hetkhenna toh tahsan kicheh tah a kona ngailutna adimsetna diu kati ahi.
6 And it is because they have not aimed at these things that the attention of certain people has been diverted to unprofitable subjects.
Ahinlah mi phabep in alakhel gamtauvin, amaho chu hichehoa konin akihei mang gamun thilpha chomlou kihoulimna'ah akimangcha gam tauvin ahi.
7 They want to be teachers of the Law, and yet do not understand either the words they use, or the subjects on which they speak so confidently.
Amaho hi Mose dan thuhil juidanin aumun ahinlah amahon thutahbeh seija aseivangun athuseihou jong akihetchet pouvin ahi.
8 We know, of course, that the Law is excellent, when used legitimately,
Eihon dan hi ahiding banga imanchah leh aphai tihi iheuve.
9 by one who recognizes that laws were not made for good people, but for the lawless and disorderly, for irreligious and wicked people, for those who are irreverent and profane, for those who ill-treat their fathers or mothers, for murderers,
Ijeh inem itileh dan hi thildih bol ho dinga kisema ahipon, dan nitlou, thilsebol ho, Pathen helou hole chonseho, thiltheng subohho, anule apa thatho chule mithat ho dinga kisema ahibouve.
10 for the immoral, for perverts, for slave traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for whatever else is opposed to sound Christian teaching –
Dan hi jonthanhoiya kipeho, pasal leh pasal kikoiho, chule mihem a kiveiho, mijouho, kitepna sukeh ho,
11 as is taught in the glorious good news of the ever-blessed God, with which I was entrusted.
I-Pathen un eingansena dungjuia hiche loupi tah Kipana Thupha kahilna toh kikal a chon ho jouse dinga kisema ahi.
12 I am thankful to Christ Jesus, our Lord, who has been my strength, for showing that he thought me worthy of trust by appointing me to his ministry,
Hiche natohna dinga thahat eipea I-Pakaiyu Yeshua Christa kathangvah-e. Aman akinbol dingin tahsan theiyin eigelin, eipansah-in ahi.
13 though I once used to blaspheme, and to persecute, and to insult. Yet mercy was shown me, because I acted in ignorance, while still an unbeliever;
Keima tumasanga Christa min taitoma kana pana thilse bolhat kanahin, amite kanabolset jeng vang'in Pathen khotona chu kachangin ahi. Ajehchu keiman hetthemlou jeh le tahsan loujeh a kanabol ahi.
14 and the loving kindness of our Lord was boundless, and filled me with that faith and love which come from union with Christ Jesus.
O, I-Pakai chu ichangeiya milungset them le khoto them hitam! Aman Yeshua Christa-a konin tahsanna le lungsetna chun eina sudimtan ahi.
15 How true the saying is, and worthy of the fullest acceptance, that ‘Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners’! And there is no greater sinner than I!
Christa hi michonsete huhhing dingin vannoiya hin ahungin ahi tihi tahsan umtah thuhil ahin, mijousen sanding doltah ahi, chuleh hicheho lah a chu keima hi achonse chungnungpen kahi.
16 Yet mercy was shown me for the express purpose that Christ Jesus might exhibit in my case, beyond all others, his exhaustless patience, as an example for those who were afterward to believe on him and attain eternal life. (aiōnios )
Ahinlah Pathen in khotona eina musah hin, Yeshua Christa hi mijouse lah-a chonsepen in jong atahsanleh tonsot hinkemlou aneithei ding ahi ti ahetdoh theina diuva keima hi vettoh thei pipena eimanchah ahi. (aiōnios )
17 To the eternal King, ever-living, invisible, the one God, be ascribed honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn )
Loupina le jangaina jouse atonsot atonsot in Pathen a hijing tahen! Amahi tonsot leng, mutheilou, thitheilou, amabouhi hiche Pathen chu ahi, Amen. (aiōn )
18 This, then, is the charge that I lay on you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with what was predicted of you – Fight the good fight in the spirit of those predictions,
Kachapa Timothy, nachunga gaothua anakiseiya kon a hiche thuhil hi kapeh nahi. Hiche hin Pakaiya dinga nagalsatna-a nahatsah ding ahi.
19 with faith, and with a clear conscience; and it is because they have thrust this aside, that, as regards the faith, some have wrecked their lives.
Christa a natahsan chu tuhdet in chule se le pha hetna nalungsung chu sutheng jingin. Miphabep khat'in hiche selepha het theina lungsung chu amang khel'un atahsannau kong chu akehgamtan ahi.
20 Hymenaeus and Alexander are instances – the men whom I delivered over to Satan so that they might be taught not to blaspheme.
Hymenaeus leh Alexander teni hi vetkah thei ahilhon e. Keiman amani chu Pathen ataitom kitlhon louna dinga Satan khut a kapehdoh lhon ahitai.
