Job 18
1 Bildad the Shuhite answered and said:
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଶୂହୀୟ ବିଲ୍ଦଦ୍ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କେତେ କାଳ କଥା ଧରିବା ପାଇଁ ଜାଲ ପାତିବ?
2 How long ere ye make an end of words? Understand, and then we will speak!
“ବିବେଚନା କର, ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କହିବା।
3 Why are we accounted as brutes, And reputed vile in your sight?
ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ କାହିଁକି ପଶୁ ପରି ଗଣା ଯାଉଅଛୁ ଓ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ଅଶୁଚି ହୋଇଅଛୁ?
4 Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger! Must the earth be deserted for thee, And the rock removed from its place?
କ୍ରୋଧରେ ଆପଣାକୁ ବିଦୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରୁଅଛ ଯେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ, ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ କʼଣ ପୃଥିବୀ ପରିତ୍ୟକ୍ତ ହେବ? ଅବା ଶୈଳ କʼଣ ସ୍ୱ ସ୍ଥାନରୁ ଦୂରୀକୃତ ହେବ?
5 Behold, the light of the wicked shall be put out, And the flame of his fire shall not shine.
ହଁ, ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ଦୀପ୍ତି ନିଭାଯିବ ଓ ତାହାର ଅଗ୍ନିକଣା ନିସ୍ତେଜ ହେବ।
6 Light shall become darkness in his tent, And his lamp over him shall go out.
ତାହାର ତମ୍ବୁରେ ଆଲୁଅ ଅନ୍ଧାର ହେବ ଓ ତାହାର ଉପରିସ୍ଥ ପ୍ରଦୀପ ନିଭାଯିବ।
7 His strong steps shall be straitened, And his own plans shall cast him down.
ତାହାର ସାମର୍ଥ୍ୟର ଗତି ସଙ୍କୁଚିତ ହେବ ଓ ତାହାର ନିଜ ମନ୍ତ୍ରଣା ତାହାକୁ ତଳେ ପକାଇବ।
8 He is brought into the net by his own feet, And he walketh upon snares.
ସେ ଆପଣା ଚରଣ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଜାଲରେ ପଡ଼େ ଓ ସେ ଫାନ୍ଦ ଉପରେ ଗମନାଗମନ କରେ।
9 The trap layeth hold of him by the heel, And the snare holdeth him fast.
ଫାଶ ତାହାର ଗୋଇଠିକି ଧରିବ ଓ ଜାଲ ତାହାକୁ ଧରିବ।
10 A net is secretly laid for him on the ground, And a trap for him in the pathway.
ତାହା ପାଇଁ ଫାଶ ଭୂମିରେ ଗୁପ୍ତ ଅଛି ଓ ପଥରେ ତାହା ପାଇଁ ଯନ୍ତା ଅଛି।
11 Terrors affright him on every side, And harass him at his heels.
ଭୟଙ୍କରତା ତାହାକୁ ଚତୁର୍ଦ୍ଦିଗରେ ଭୀତ କରିବ ଓ ତାହାର ଗୋଡ଼େ ଗୋଡ଼େ ଗୋଡ଼ାଇବ।
12 His strength is wasted by hunger, And destruction is ready at his side.
ତାହାର ବଳ କ୍ଷୁଧାରେ କ୍ଷୀଣ ହେବ ଓ ତାହାର ଶେଷ ସମୟକୁ ବିପଦ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ଥିବ।
13 His limbs are consumed, Yea, his limbs are devoured by the first-born of death.
ତାହା ତାହାର ଶରୀରର ଅବୟବସବୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ, ହଁ, ମୃତ୍ୟୁର ପ୍ରଥମଜାତ ତାହାର ଅବୟବସବୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରିବ।
14 He is torn from his tent, which was his confidence, And is borne away to the king of terrors.
ସେ ଆପଣା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ-ସ୍ଥଳରୂପ ତମ୍ବୁରୁ ଉତ୍ପାଟିତ ହେବ ଓ ସେ ଭୟଙ୍କର ରାଜା ନିକଟକୁ ଅଣାଯିବ।
15 They who are none of his shall dwell in his tent; Brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
ତାହାର ଅସମ୍ପର୍କୀୟ ଲୋକ ତାହାର ତମ୍ବୁରେ ବାସ କରିବ, ତାହାର ନିବାସ ସ୍ଥାନ ଉପରେ ଗନ୍ଧକ ବିଞ୍ଚାଯିବ।
16 His roots below shall be dried up, And his branches above shall be withered.
ତଳେ ତାହାର ମୂଳ ଶୁଷ୍କ ହେବ ଓ ଉପରେ ତାହାର ଶାଖା ଉଚ୍ଛିନ୍ନ ହେବ।
17 His memory perisheth from the earth, And no name hath he in the land.
ପୃଥିବୀରୁ ତାହାର ସ୍ମୃତି ଲୁପ୍ତ ହେବ ଓ ପଥରେ କେହି ତାହାର ନାମ ଧରିବ ନାହିଁ।
18 He shall be thrust from light into darkness, And driven out of the world.
ସେ ଆଲୁଅରୁ ଅନ୍ଧାରକୁ ତଡ଼ାଯିବ ଓ ଜଗତରୁ ଘଉଡ଼ାଯିବ।
19 He hath no son, nor kinsman among his people, Nor any survivor in his dwelling-place.
ଆପଣା ଲୋକଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାହାର ପୁତ୍ର କି ପୌତ୍ର ରହିବେ ନାହିଁ, କିଅବା ତାହାର ପ୍ରବାସ ସ୍ଥାନରେ କେହି ରହିବେ ନାହିଁ।
20 They that come after him shall be amazed at his fate, As they that were before them were struck with horror.
ଯେପରି ପୂର୍ବବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାହାର ବିନାଶର ଦିନ ଲାଗି ଭୀତ ହୋଇଥିଲେ, ସେପରି ପଶ୍ଚିମବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଲୋକମାନେ ଚମତ୍କୃତ ହେବେ।
21 Yea, such is the dwelling of the unrighteous man; Such is the place of him who knoweth not God!
ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଅଧାର୍ମିକର ବସତି ଏହିପରି ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ ନ ଜାଣିବା ଲୋକର ସ୍ଥାନ ଏହି।”
