< Acts 7 >
1 And the high-priest said, Are then these things so?
Mwet Tol Fulat el siyuk sel Stephen, “Ya pwaye ma mwet inge fahk keim uh?”
2 And he said, Brethren and fathers, hearken. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,
Ac Stephen el fahk, “Mwet lili ac papa an, kowos porongeyu! Meet liki Abraham, papa matu tumasr, el tuh som ac muta lac Haran, God lun wolana El sikyang nu sel in acn Mesopotamia,

4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Haran; and from thence, after his father was dead, he caused him to remove into this land wherein ye now dwell;

5 and he gave him no inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on; and he promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his posterity after him, when as yet he had no child.

Pa inge ma God El fahk nu sel: ‘Fita lom uh ac fah muta in sie facl sac, yen elos ac fah mwet kohs we, ac elos ac fah akkeokyeyuk ke lusen yac angfoko.

Tusruk nga ac fah nununku mwet ma ac akkeokyalos uh, na tok elos ac illa liki facl se ingo ac alu nu sik in facl se inge.’
8 And he gave him the covenant of circumcision; and so he begat Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob the twelve patriarchs.
9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt; and God was with him,

15 And Jacob went down [[into Egypt]], and died, he and our fathers.

16 And they were removed to Shechem, and laid in the tomb that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem.

17 But as the time of the promise drew near, which God solemnly made to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

23 And when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren, the sons of Israel.

26 And the next day he showed himself to them as they were contending, and urged them to peace, saying, Ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one another?

29 And Moses fled at this saying, and became a sojourner in the land of Midian, where he begat two sons.
Ke Moses el lohng kas inge, el kaingla liki acn Egypt ac som muta in facl Midian. Ke el muta we, oasr wen luo natul we.
30 And when forty years were completed, there appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai an angel in the flaming fire of a bush.

31 And Moses seeing it wondered at the sight; and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came [[to him]],

33 And the Lord said to him, “Loose the sandals from thy feet; for the place where thou standest is holy ground.
Ac Leum God El fahk nu sel, ‘Eisla fahluk lom an, tuh acn se kom tu we inge acn mutal se.

Nga liye lupan ongoiya lun mwet luk in acn Egypt. Nga lohng sasao lalos, ac inge nga oatui in molelosla. Fahsru, ac nga fah supwekomla nu Egypt.’
35 This Moses, whom they denied, saying, “Who made thee a ruler and a judge?” this very man did God send both as a ruler and a redeemer with the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.
“Moses se inge pa mwet Israel tuh srangesr lohngol, ac fahk nu sel mu, ‘Su oru kom in leum facsr ac nununkekut uh?’ El pa mwet se ma God El supwala in tuh kol mwet uh, ac molelosla ke kasru lun lipufan se su sikyang nu sel in e se ma firir in sak srisrik soko ah.
36 This very man brought them out, working wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years.
El kolla mwet uh liki acn Egypt, orek mwenmen ac ma sakirik in acn Egypt ac in Meoa Srusra, ac oayapa in acn mwesis uh ke yac angngaul.
37 This is the Moses who said to the sons of Israel, “A prophet will God raise up to you from among your brethren, as he raised up me.”
Moses se inge pa mwet se ma tuh fahk nu sin mwet Israel, ‘God El ac fah supwama mwet palu se nu suwos, oana ke El tuh supweyume, ac el ac fah mau sie mwet in mutunfacl suwos.’
38 This is he that was in the assembly in the wilderness with the anger who spake to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers; who received the living oracles to give to us;

39 to whom our fathers would not be obedient, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back into Egypt,
“Tusruktu mwet matu lasr elos tia lungse aksol Moses. Elos sisella ac kena folokla nu Egypt.

Ouinge elos fahk nu sel Aaron, ‘Orala kutu god ah in kol kut. Kut tiana etu lah mea acnu sikyak nu sin mwet se Moses uh, su uskutme liki acn Egypt ah.’

42 But God turned away, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the Prophets, “Did ye offer to me slain beasts and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?

44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of the testimony in the wilderness, as he that spoke to Moses commanded that he should make it according to the pattern that he had seen;
“Mwet matu lasr elos tuh us Lohm Nuknuk su Nien Muta lun Leum God welulos yen mwesis ah. Tuh orekla oana ke God El fahk nu sel Moses, ac fal nu ke srikasrak ma itukyang Moses el liye ah.

47 But Solomon built him a house.
Tuh tia el, a Solomon pa tuh musaela lohm se nu sel ah.
48 Yet the Most High dwelleth not in [[temples]] made with hands; as saith the prophet,
“Tusruktu God Fulatlana El tia muta in lohm ma orekla ke poun mwet; oana ke mwet palu el fahk,

51 Stiffnecked, and uncircumcised in heart and ears! ye do always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do ye.
Ac Stephen el fahk, “Seyal kowos arulana likkeke ac lohsr insiowos! Kowos mwet srangesr lohng kas sin God me! Kowos wi pac lain Ngun Mutal oana mwet matu lowos somla!
