< Psalms 61 >
1 [For the Chief Musician. For a stringed instrument. By David.] Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer.
Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Ngai, igua kĩrĩro gĩakwa; thikĩrĩria ihooya rĩakwa.
2 From the most remote place of the earth, I will call to you, when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Ndĩragũkaĩra kuuma ituri cia thĩ, ndĩragũkaĩra o ngoro yakwa ĩgĩthiragwo nĩ hinya; ndongoria nginye rwaro-inĩ rwa ihiga rũrĩa rũraihu na igũrũ kũngĩra.
3 For you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy.
Nĩgũkorwo nĩwe ũkoretwo ũrĩ rĩũrĩro rĩakwa, mũthiringo mũraihu na igũrũ wa hinya wa kwĩhitha kuuma kũrĩ thũ.
4 I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. (Selah)
Ndĩĩriragĩria gũtũũra hema-inĩ yaku nginya tene, na ndĩĩhithage kĩĩruru-inĩ kĩa mathagu maku.
5 For you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
Nĩgũkorwo Wee Ngai nĩũiguĩte mĩĩhĩtwa yakwa, nĩũngaĩire igai rĩa andũ arĩa metigĩrĩte rĩĩtwa rĩaku.
6 You will prolong the king's life; his years shall be for generations.
Ongerera matukũ ma mũthamaki ma gũtũũra muoyo, mĩaka yake ĩigane ta ya njiarwa nyingĩ.
7 He shall be enthroned in God's presence forever. Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.
Aroikarĩra gĩtĩ kĩa ũnene arĩ mbere ya Ngai nginya tene; tũma wendo na wĩhokeku waku imũgitagĩre.
8 So I will sing praise to your name forever, that I may fulfill my vows day after day.
