< Psalms 22 >
1 [For the Chief Musician; set to "The Doe of the Morning." A Psalm by David.] My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?
Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Katonda wange, Katonda wange, lwaki onjabulidde? Lwaki ogaana okunnyamba wadde okuwuliriza okwaziirana kwange?
2 My God, I cry in the daytime, but you do not answer; in the night season, and am not silent.
Ayi Katonda wange, emisana nkukoowoola, naye tonnyanukula; n’ekiro bwe ntyo, naye siweerako.
3 But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.
Songa ggwe Mutukuvu atudde ku Ntebe, era ettendo lya Isirayiri yonna.
4 Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them.
Bajjajjaffe baakwesiganga; baakwesiga naawe n’obawonya.
5 They cried to you, and escaped. They trusted in you, and were not put to shame.
Baakukoowoolanga n’obalokola; era baakwesiganga ne batajulirira.
6 But I am a worm, and no man; scorned by people and despised by the people.
Naye nze ndi lusiriŋŋanyi, siri muntu; abantu bampisaamu amaaso, n’abalala bannyooma.
7 All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,
Bonna abandaba banduulira, era banvuma nga bwe banyeenyeza omutwe nga bagamba nti,
8 "He trusts in YHWH; let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him."
“Yeesiga Mukama; kale amuwonye. Obanga Mukama amwagala, kale nno amulokole!”
9 But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust at my mother's breasts.
Naye ggwe wanziggya mu lubuto lwa mmange, era wampa okukwesiga ne mu buto bwange bwonna nga nkyayonka.
10 I was thrown on you from my mother's womb. You are my God since my mother bore me.
Olwazaalibwa ne nteekebwa mu mikono gyo; olwava mu lubuto lwa mmange n’obeera Katonda wange.
11 Do not be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is none to help.
Tobeera wala nange, kubanga emitawaana ginsemberedde, ate nga tewali mulala n’omu asobola kunnyamba.
12 Many bulls have surrounded me. Mighty ones of Bashan have encircled me.
Zisseddume nnyingi zinneetoolodde, zisseddume enkambwe ez’e Basani zinzingizizza.
13 They open their mouths wide against me, like a lion tearing prey and roaring.
Banjasamiza akamwa kaabwe ng’empologoma bw’ewuluguma ng’etaagulataagula omuyiggo gwayo.
14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax; it is melted within me.
Ngiyiddwa ng’amazzi, n’amagumba gange gasowose mu nnyingo zaago. Omutima gwange guli ng’obubaane, era gusaanuukidde mu mubiri gwange.
15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; and you have brought me into the dust of death.
Amaanyi gampweddemu, gakaze ng’oluggyo; n’olulimi lwange lukutte waggulu mu kibuno kyange. Ondese awo mu nfuufu ng’omufu.
16 For many dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and my feet.
Abantu ababi banneetoolodde; banneebunguludde ng’embwa ennyingi; banfumise ne bawummula ebibatu byange n’ebigere byange.
17 I can count all of my bones. They look and stare at me.
Amagumba gansowose nnyinza n’okugabala. Abalabe bange bantunuulira nga bannyoomoola.
18 They divide my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they cast a lot.
Bagabana engoye zange; era ekyambalo kyange bakikubira akalulu.
19 But do not be far off, YHWH. You are my help: hurry to help me.
Naye ggwe, Ayi Mukama, tobeera wala nange. Ggwe, Amaanyi gange, yanguwa okunnyamba!
20 Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog.
Omponye okuttibwa n’ekitala; obulamu bwange obw’omuwendo butaase mu maanyi g’embwa!
21 Save me from the lion's mouth. Yes, from the horns of the wild oxen, you have answered me.
Nzigya mu kamwa k’empologoma, omponye amayembe g’embogo enkambwe.
22 I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the assembly I will praise you.
Nnaategezanga ku linnya lyo mu booluganda; nnaakutenderezanga mu kibiina ky’abantu.
23 You who fear YHWH, praise him. All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him. Revere him, all you descendants of Israel.
Mmwe abatya Mukama, mumutenderezenga. Abaana ba Yakobo mwenna mumugulumizenga; era mumussengamu ekitiibwa nga mumutya, mmwe abaana ba Isirayiri mwenna.
24 For he has not despised or detested the affliction of the afflicted, nor has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.
Kubanga tanyooma kwaziirana kw’abo abali mu nnaku, era tabeekweka, wabula abaanukula bwe bamukoowoola.
25 Of you comes my praise in the great assembly. I will pay my vows before those who fear him.
Mu ggwe mwe muva ettendo lyange mu kibiina ekinene, ne nkutendereza olw’ebyo by’onkoledde. Obweyamo bwange nnaabutuukirizanga mu maaso gaabo abakutya.
26 The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise YHWH who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever.
Abaavu banaalyanga ne bakkuta, abo abanoonya Mukama banaamutenderezanga. Emitima gyabwe ginaajaguzanga emirembe gyonna.
27 Every part of the earth shall remember and turn to YHWH, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you.
Ensi zonna zirijjukira ne zikyukira Mukama, ebika byonna eby’amawanga gonna birimuvuunamira.
28 For the kingdom is YHWH's, and he is the ruler over the nations.
Kubanga obwakabaka bwonna bwa Mukama, era y’afuga amawanga gonna.
29 All the prosperous of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him; and my soul shall live for him.
Abagagga bonna ab’omu nsi balirya embaga, ne bamusinza. Bonna abagenda mu nfuufu, balimufukaamirira, abatakyali balamu.
30 Posterity shall serve him. Future generations shall be told about YHWH.
Ezadde lyabwe lirimuweereza; abaliddawo balibuulirwa ekigambo kya Mukama.
31 They shall come and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, for he has done it.
N’abo abatannazaalibwa balibuulirwa obutuukirivu bwe nti, “Ekyo yakikoze.”
