Isaiah 57
1 The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil.
നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ നശിക്കുന്നു, ആരും അതു ഗൗനിക്കുന്നില്ല; വിശ്വസ്തർ മരിച്ചു മാറ്റപ്പെടുന്നു, ആരും മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നില്ല. വരാനുള്ള ദോഷത്തിൽനിന്ന് നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ എടുത്തുമാറ്റപ്പെടുന്നതിനാൽത്തന്നെ.
2 He enters into peace; they rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.
പരമാർഥതയോടെ ജീവിക്കുന്നവരെല്ലാം സ്വസ്ഥതയിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിക്കും; അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ മരണക്കിടക്കയിൽ വിശ്രമം നേടും.
3 "But draw near here, you sons of the sorceress, offspring of an adulterer and a prostitute.
“എന്നാൽ മന്ത്രവാദിനിയുടെ മക്കളേ, വ്യഭിചാരിയുടെയും വേശ്യയുടെയും സന്തതിയേ, ഇങ്ങോട്ട് അടുത്തുവരിക.
4 Against whom are you mocking? Against whom do you make a wide mouth, and stick out your tongue? Aren't you children of rebellion, offspring of liars,
ആരെയാണു നിങ്ങൾ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നത്? ആർക്കെതിരേയാണു നിങ്ങൾ അവജ്ഞയോടെ നോക്കുകയും വായ്‌പിളർന്ന് നാക്കുനീട്ടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നത്? നിങ്ങൾ അതിക്രമത്തിന്റെ മക്കളും വ്യാജ സന്തതികളുമല്ലേ?
5 you who inflame yourselves among the oaks, under every green tree; who kill the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?
കരുവേലകങ്ങൾക്കരികിലും ഓരോ ഇലതൂർന്ന മരത്തിൻകീഴിലും നിങ്ങൾ കാമാതുരരാകുന്നു. താഴ്വരകളിൽ പാറപ്പിളർപ്പുകൾക്കുതാഴേ നിങ്ങൾ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ ബലിയർപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ലേ?
6 Among the smooth stones of the valley is your portion; they, they are your lot; you have even poured a drink offering to them. You have offered an offering. Shall I be appeased for these things?
അരുവികളിലെ മിനുസമുള്ള കല്ലുകളാണ് നിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ; അതുതന്നെ നിന്റെ ഓഹരി. അതേ, അവയ്ക്കാണു നിങ്ങൾ പാനീയബലിയും ഭോജനബലിയും അർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഇതെല്ലാം കണ്ടശേഷവും ഞാൻ ക്ഷമിക്കണമോ?
7 On a high and lofty mountain you have set your bed; there also you went up to offer sacrifice.
പൊക്കമുള്ള വൻമലയിൽ നീ നിന്റെ കിടക്കവിരിച്ചു; യാഗമർപ്പിക്കാൻ അവിടേക്കാണല്ലോ നീ കയറിപ്പോയത്.
8 Behind the doors and the posts you have set up your memorial: for you have uncovered to someone besides me, and have gone up; you have enlarged your bed, and made you a covenant with them: you loved their bed where you saw it.
വാതിലുകൾക്കും കട്ടിളകൾക്കും പിന്നിലായി നീ അന്യദേവതകളുടെ ചിഹ്നങ്ങൾ പതിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച്, നീ നിന്റെ കിടക്ക അനാവരണംചെയ്തു, അതിന്മേൽ കയറി അതു വിശാലമായി തുറന്നിട്ടു; നീ ആരുടെ കിടക്കയാണോ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടത് അവരുമായി ഒരു സന്ധിചെയ്ത്, അവരുടെ നഗ്നശരീരങ്ങളെ ആസക്തിയോടുകൂടെ നോക്കി.
9 You went to the king with oil, and increased your perfumes, and sent your ambassadors far off, and debased yourself even to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
നീ ഒലിവെണ്ണയുമായി മോലെക്കിന്റെ അടുക്കൽച്ചെന്നു, നിന്റെ പരിമളവർഗങ്ങൾ വർധിപ്പിച്ചു. നിന്റെ പ്രതിനിധികളെ നീ ദൂരസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലേക്കയച്ചു; നീ പാതാളംവരെ ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലുകയും ചെയ്തു! (Sheol h7585)
10 You were wearied with the length of your way; yet you did not say, 'It is in vain.' You found a reviving of your strength; therefore you weren't faint.
നിന്റെ വഴിയുടെ ദൈർഘ്യത്താൽ നീ തളർന്നു, എന്നിട്ടും ‘ആശയറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു,’ എന്നു നീ പറഞ്ഞില്ല. നിന്റെ ശക്തിയുടെ നവീകരണം നീ കണ്ടെത്തി അതുകൊണ്ടു നീ ക്ഷീണിച്ചില്ല.
11 "Of whom have you been afraid and in fear, that you lie, and have not remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? Haven't I held my peace even of long time, and you do not fear me?
“ആരെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടിട്ടായിരുന്നു നീ എന്നോടു വ്യാജം പറയുകയും എന്നെ ഓർക്കാതെ അവഗണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തത്? ഞാൻ ദീർഘകാലം നിശ്ശബ്ദനായിരിക്കുകയാലല്ലേ നീ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടാതിരുന്നത്?
12 I will declare your righteousness; and as for your works, they shall not profit you.
നിന്റെ നീതിയും നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയും ഞാൻ വെളിച്ചത്താക്കും, അവ നിനക്കു പ്രയോജനം ചെയ്യുകയില്ല.
13 When you cry, let those who you have gathered deliver you; but the wind shall take them, a breath shall carry them all away: but he who takes refuge in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain."
നീ നിലവിളിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിന്റെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ ശേഖരം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ! കാറ്റ് അവ എല്ലാറ്റിനെയും തൂത്തെറിയും, കേവലം ഒരു ശ്വാസം അവയെ പറപ്പിച്ചുകളയും. എന്നാൽ എന്നിൽ ശരണപ്പെടുന്നവൻ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുകയും എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപർവതത്തെ അവകാശമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.”
14 He will say, "Build up, build up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling-block out of the way of my people."
അവിടന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “പണിയുക, പണിയുക, വഴിയൊരുക്കുക! എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ വഴിയിൽനിന്നു പ്രതിബന്ധം നീക്കിക്കളയുക.”
15 For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
ഉന്നതനും ശ്രേഷ്ഠനും അനശ്വരനും പരിശുദ്ധൻ എന്ന നാമമുള്ളവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഉന്നതവും വിശുദ്ധവുമായ സ്ഥാനത്തു ഞാൻ വസിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ വിനയമുള്ളവരുടെ ആത്മാവിനു നവചൈതന്യം പകരുന്നതിനും ഹൃദയം തകർന്നവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുമായി അനുതാപവും വിനയവുമുള്ളവരോടുംകൂടെ ഞാൻ വസിക്കും.
16 For I will not contend forever, neither will I be always angry; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls who I have made.
ഞാൻ എന്നേക്കും അവരോടു കുറ്റമാരോപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയോ എപ്പോഴും കോപിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുകയില്ല, അങ്ങനെയായാൽ എന്റെതന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിയായ ജനം ഞാൻനിമിത്തം തളർന്നുപോകുമല്ലോ.
17 For the iniquity of his covetousness was I angry, and struck him; I hid myself and was angry; and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.
പാപകരമായ അവരുടെ ആർത്തിനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ കോപാകുലനായി; ഞാൻ അവരെ ശിക്ഷിച്ചു, കോപത്താൽ ഞാൻ മുഖം മറയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു, എന്നിട്ടും അവർ തങ്ങൾക്കു ബോധിച്ച വഴിയിൽനടന്നു.
18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.
ഞാൻ അവരുടെ വഴികൾ മനസ്സിലാക്കി, എന്നാലും ഞാൻ അവരെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കും; ഞാൻ അവരെ നയിക്കുകയും വിലപിക്കുന്നവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുകയും
19 I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near," says YHWH; "and I will heal him."
അവരുടെ അധരങ്ങളിൽ സ്തോത്രധ്വനികൾ നൽകുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു. ദൂരസ്ഥർക്കും സമീപസ്ഥർക്കും സമാധാനം, അതേ, സമാധാനം! ഞാൻ അവർക്കു സൗഖ്യംനൽകും,” എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it can't rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.
എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടർ കലങ്ങിമറിയുന്ന കടൽപോലെയാണ്, അതിനു സ്വസ്ഥമായിരിക്കാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല, അതിലെ വെള്ളം ചേറും ചെളിയും മേലോട്ടു കൊണ്ടുവരികയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
21 "There is no peace," says my God, "for the wicked."
“ദുഷ്ടർക്ക് ഒരു സമാധാനമില്ല എന്ന്,” എന്റെ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
