1 Samuel 17
1 Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle; and they were gathered together at Socoh, which belongs to Judah, and camped between Socoh and Azekah, in Ephes Dammim.

30 Then he turned away from him toward another, and spoke in the same way, and they gave him an answer as before.

31 When the words that David spoke were overheard, they repeated them before Saul; and he sent for him.

And I will give your corpse and the corpses of the Philistine army this very day to the birds of the air, and to the wild animals of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,

48 It happened, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew near to meet David, that David hurried, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.

53 The children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they plundered their camp.

54 David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armor in his tent.
