Ruth 2
1 Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech, and his name was Boaz.
Είχε δε η Ναομί συγγενή τινά του ανδρός αυτής, άνθρωπον δυνατόν εν ισχύϊ, εκ της συγγενείας του Ελιμέλεχ· και το όνομα αυτού Βοόζ.
2 Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Let me now go to the field, and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I shall find favor." She said to her, "Go, my daughter."
Και είπεν η Ρούθ η Μωαβίτις προς την Ναομί, Ας υπάγω, παρακαλώ, εις τον αγρόν διά να συνάξω αστάχυα κατόπιν ούτινος εύρω χάριν εις τους οφθαλμούς· και είπε προς αυτήν, Ύπαγε, θυγάτηρ μου.
3 She went, and came and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and she happened to come to the portion of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.
Και υπήγε και ελθούσα εσταχυολόγει εν τω αγρώ κατόπιν των θεριστών· και έτυχεν εν μέρει του αγρού του Βοόζ, όστις ήτο εκ της συγγενείας του Ελιμέλεχ.
4 Look, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, "The LORD be with you." They answered him, "The LORD bless you."
Και ιδού, ο Βοόζ ήλθεν εκ Βηθλεέμ και είπε προς τους θεριστάς, Κύριος μεθ' υμών. Και απεκρίθησαν προς αυτόν, Κύριος να σε ευλογήση.
5 Then Boaz said to his servant who was set over the reapers, "Whose young woman is this?"
Τότε είπεν ο Βοόζ προς τον υπηρέτην αυτού, τον επιστάτην των θεριστών, Τίνος είναι η νέα αύτη;
6 The servant who was set over the reapers answered, "It is the Moabite woman who came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab.
Και ο υπηρέτης ο επιστάτης των θεριστών απεκρίθη και είπεν, είναι η νέα η Μωαβίτις, η επιστρέψασα μετά της Ναομί εκ γης Μωάβ·
7 She said, 'Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.' So she came, and has continued even from the morning until now, except that she stayed a little in the house."
και είπεν, Ας σταχυολογήσω, παρακαλώ, και ας συνάξω τι μεταξύ των δεματίων κατόπιν των θεριστών· και ήλθε και εστάθη από πρωΐας έως ταύτης της ώρας· ολίγον μόνον ανεπαύθη εν τη οικία.
8 Then Boaz said to Ruth, "Listen, my daughter. Do not go to glean in another field, and do not go from here, but stay here close to my maidens.
Και είπεν ο Βοόζ προς την Ρούθ, Δεν ακούεις, θυγάτηρ μου; μη υπάγης να σταχυολογήσης εν άλλω αγρώ, μηδέ να αναχωρήσης εντεύθεν, αλλά μένε ενταύθα μετά των κορασίων μου·
9 Let your eyes be on the field that they reap, and go after them. Haven't I commanded the young men not to touch you? When you are thirsty, go to the vessels, and drink from that which the young men have drawn."
ας ήναι οι οφθαλμοί σου επί τον αγρόν όπου θερίζουσι, και ύπαγε κατόπιν αυτών· δεν προσέταξα εγώ εις τους νέους να μη σε εγγίσωσι; και όταν διψήσης ύπαγε εις τα αγγεία και πίνε από ό, τι αντλήσωσιν οι νέοι.
10 Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said to him, "Why have I found favor in your sight, that you should take knowledge of me, since I am a foreigner?"
Η δε έπεσε κατά πρόσωπον και προσεκύνησεν έως εδάφους και είπε προς αυτόν, Πως εγώ εύρηκα χάριν εις τους οφθαλμούς σου, ώστε να λάβης πρόνοιαν περί εμού, ενώ είμαι ξένη;
11 Boaz answered her, "It has fully been shown to me, all that you have done to your mother-in-law since the death of your husband; and how you have left your father and your mother, and the land of your birth, and have come to a people that you didn't know before.
Και ο Βοόζ απεκρίθη και είπε προς αυτήν, Ανηγγέλθησαν προς εμέ ακριβώς πάντα όσα έκαμες εις την πενθεράν σου μετά τον θάνατον του ανδρός σου· και ότι αφήκας τον πατέρα σου και την μητέρα σου και την γην της γεννήσεώς σου, και ήλθες προς λαόν, τον οποίον δεν εγνώριζες πρότερον·
12 May the LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge."
ο Κύριος να ανταμείψη το έργον σου, και ο μισθός σου να ήναι πλήρης παρά Κυρίου του Θεού του Ισραήλ, υπό τας πτέρυγας του οποίου ήλθες να σκεπασθής.
13 Then she said, "Let me find favor in your sight, my lord, because you have comforted me, and because you have spoken kindly to your handmaid, though I am not as one of your handmaidens."
Η δε είπεν, Ας εύρω χάριν εις τους οφθαλμούς σου, κύριέ μου· επειδή με παρηγόρησας και επειδή ελάλησας ευμενώς προς την δούλην σου, αν και εγώ δεν είμαι ουδέ ως μία των θεραπαινίδων σου.
14 At meal time Boaz said to her, "Come here, and eat of the bread, and dip your morsel in the vinegar." She sat beside the reapers, and they reached her parched grain, and she ate, and was satisfied, and left some of it.
Και είπε προς αυτήν ο Βοόζ την ώραν του φαγητού, Ελθέ και φάγε εκ του άρτου και βρέξον το ψωμίον σου εις το όξος. Και αυτή εκάθισεν εις τα πλάγια των θεριστών· εκείνος δε έδωκεν εις αυτήν σίτον πεφρυγανισμένον, και έφαγε και εχορτάσθη και επερίσσευσε.
15 When she had risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, "Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not humiliate her.
Και εσηκώθη να σταχυολογήση, και προσέταξεν ο Βοόζ εις τους νέους αυτού, λέγων, Και μεταξύ των δεματίων ας σταχυολογή, και μη επιπλήττετε αυτήν·
16 Also pull out some for her from the bundles, and leave it, and let her glean, and do not rebuke her."
και μάλιστα αφίνετε να πίπτη τι από των χειροβόλων διά αυτήν και αφίνετε να συλλέγη και μη ελέγχετε αυτήν.
17 So she gleaned in the field until evening; and she beat out that which she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.
Και εσταχυολόγησεν εν τω αγρώ έως εσπέρας και εκοπάνισεν όσον εσταχυολόγησε· και ήτο έως εν εφά κριθής.
18 She took it up, and went into the city; and her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought out and gave to her that which she had left after she was sufficed.
Και εσήκωσεν αυτό και εισήλθεν εις την πόλιν· και είδεν η πενθερά αυτής όσον εσταχυολόγησε· και εκβαλούσα η Ρούθ, έδωκεν εις αυτήν ό, τι είχε περισσεύσει αφού εχορτάσθη.
19 Her mother-in-law said to her, "Where have you gleaned today? And where have you worked? Blessed be he who noticed you." She showed her mother-in-law with whom she had worked, and said, "The man's name with whom I worked today is Boaz."
Και είπε προς αυτήν η πενθερά αυτής, Που εσταχυολόγησας σήμερον; και που εδούλευσας; ευλογημένος να ήναι εκείνος όστις έλαβε πρόνοιαν περί σου. Και εκείνη εφανέρωσε προς την πενθεράν αυτής εις τίνος αγρόν εδούλευσε και είπε, το όνομα του ανθρώπου, εις τον οποίον εδούλευσα σήμερον, είναι Βοόζ.
20 Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, "Blessed be he of the LORD, who has not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead." Naomi said to her, "The man is a close relative to us, one of our near kinsmen."
Και είπεν η Ναομί προς την νύμφην αυτής, Ευλογημένος παρά Κυρίου εκείνος όστις δεν αφήκε το έλεος αυτού προς τους ζώντας και προς τους τεθνεώτας. Και είπε προς αυτήν η Ναομί, Συγγενής ημών είναι ο άνθρωπος ούτος εκ των πλησίον συγγενών ημών.
21 And Ruth the Moabitess said, "He even said to me, 'You shall stay close to my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.'"
Και είπεν η Ρούθ η Μωαβίτις, Αυτός με είπε προσέτι, Συ θέλεις μένει μετά των ανθρώπων μου, εωσού τελειώσωσιν όλον τον θερισμόν μου.
22 Naomi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, "It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his maidens, and that they not meet you in any other field."
Και είπεν η Ναομί προς την Ρούθ την νύμφην αυτής, Είναι καλόν, θυγάτηρ μου, να εκβαίνης μετά των κορασίων αυτού, και να μη σε απαντήσωσιν εν άλλω αγρώ.
23 So she stayed close to the maidens of Boaz, to glean to the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and she lived with her mother-in-law.
Και προσεκολλήθη εις τα κοράσια του Βοόζ διά να σταχυολογή, εωσού τελειώση ο θερισμός των κριθών και ο θερισμός του σίτου· και εκάθητο μετά της πενθεράς αυτής.
