< Psalms 3 >
1 [A Psalm by David, when he fled from Absalom his son.] Jehovah, how my adversaries have increased. Many rise up against me.
Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova, kaĩ thũ ciakwa nĩ nyingĩ-ĩ! Andũ arĩa manjũkĩrĩire nĩ aingĩ mũno!
2 Many there are who say of my soul, "There is no salvation for him in God." (Selah)
Aingĩ nĩ arĩa maraaria ũhoro wakwa, makoiga atĩrĩ, “Ngai ndangĩmũhonokia.”
3 But you, Jehovah, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
No rĩrĩ, Wee Jehova nĩwe ngo ya kũngitĩra mĩena yothe; Wee nowe ũũheaga riiri na ũgatũũgĩria mũtwe wakwa.
4 I cried out to Jehovah with my voice, and he answered me from his holy mountain. (Selah)
Ngayagĩra Jehova na mũgambo mũnene, nake akanjĩtĩka arĩ kĩrĩma-inĩ gĩake kĩamũre.
5 I lay down and slept. I awoke, for Jehovah sustains me.
Niĩ ngomaga na ngoona toro; ngacooka ngokĩra rĩngĩ, tondũ Jehova nĩwe ũndũũragia.
6 I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side.
Ndingĩĩtigĩra andũ makũmi ma ngiri, acio mehaarĩirie kũnjũkĩrĩra na mĩena yothe.
7 Arise, Jehovah. Save me, my God. For you slap all my enemies in the face. You break the teeth of the wicked.
Arahũka, Wee Jehova! Wee Ngai wakwa, honokia! Thũ ciakwa ciothe nĩwe ũcigũthĩte thĩa, na ũkoinanga magego ma andũ arĩa aaganu.
8 Salvation belongs to Jehovah. Your blessing is upon your people. (Selah)
Ũhonokio uumaga harĩ Jehova. Irathimo ciaku irotũũra na andũ aku.
