< Psalms 124 >

1 [A Song of Ascents. By David.] If it had not been Jehovah who was on our side, let Israel now say,
IJRAEL en inda: Ma Ieowa jota pan kotin ieian kit.
2 if it had not been Jehovah who was on our side, when men rose up against us;
Ma Ieowa jota pan kotin ieian kit, ni en aramaj akan ni palian kit.
3 then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us;
Re pan katala kit ala ni at memaur, ni ar linaranar kin kit.
4 then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul;
Pil akan ap pan kamop kit ala, pilap akan kadupwaledi nen it.
5 then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.
Pil akan itida melel lao kadupwaledi nen it.
6 Blessed be Jehovah, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.
Kapin on Ieowa, me jota mueid on, ni arail en ter kit pajan!
7 Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler's snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
Nen it piti jan injar en jaun injar dueta manpir amen; injar ola, a kit pitila.
8 Our help is in the name of Jehovah, who made heaven and earth.
Jauaj pat iei mar en Ieowa, me kotin kapikadar lan o jappa.
