< Psalms 68 >
1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. A song.] Let God arise. Let his enemies be scattered, and let them who hate him flee before him.
Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Oluyimba lwa Dawudi. Katonda agolokoke, abalabe be basaasaane, n’abo abamukyawa bamudduke.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away. As wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
Ng’empewo bw’efuumuula omukka, naawe bafuumuule bw’otyo; envumbo nga bw’esaanuuka mu muliro, n’abakola ebibi bazikirire bwe batyo mu maaso ga Katonda!
3 But let the righteous be glad. Let them rejoice before God. Yes, let them rejoice with gladness.
Naye abatuukirivu basanyuke bajagulize mu maaso ga Katonda, nga bajjudde essanyu.
4 Sing to God. Sing praises to his name. Extol him who rides on the clouds: to the LORD, his name. Rejoice before him.
Muyimbire Katonda, muyimbe nga mutendereza erinnya lye; mumuyimusize amaloboozi gammwe oyo atambulira mu bire. Erinnya lye ye Mukama, mujagulize mu maaso ge.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
Ye Kitaawe w’abataliiko bakitaabwe, ye mukuumi wa bannamwandu; ye Katonda abeera mu kifo kye ekitukuvu.
6 God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.
Katonda afunira abatalina we babeera ekifo eky’okubeeramu, aggya abasibe mu kkomera n’abagaggawaza; naye abajeemu babeera mu bifo bikalu ddala.
7 God, when you went forth before your people, when you marched through the wilderness... (Selah)
Ayi Katonda, bwe wakulembera abantu bo, n’obayisa mu ddungu,
8 The earth trembled. The sky also poured down rain at the presence of the God of Sinai—at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
ensi yakankana, eggulu ne lifukumula enkuba mu maaso ga Katonda; n’olusozi Sinaayi ne lukankana awali Katonda, Katonda wa Isirayiri!
9 You, God, sent a plentiful rain. You confirmed your inheritance, when it was weary.
Watonnyesa enkuba nnyingi ku nsi, Ayi Katonda; ensi y’obusika bwo n’ogizzaamu obugimu bwe bwali nga buggweerera;
10 Your congregation lived in it. You, God, prepared your goodness for the poor.
abantu bo ne babeera omwo; era olw’ekisa kyo ekingi, Ayi Katonda, abaavu ne bafuna bye beetaaga okuva ku bugagga bwo.
11 The LORD announced the word; a great company of women proclaim the good news.
Mukama yalangirira; ne babunyisa ekigambo kye; baali bangi ne boogera nti:
12 "Kings of armies flee. They flee." She who waits at home divides the spoil,
“Bakabaka badduse n’amaggye gaabwe; abantu ne bagabana omunyago.
13 while you sleep among the campfires, the wings of a dove sheathed with silver, her feathers with shining gold.
Balabe bwe banyirira n’obugagga bwa ffeeza ne zaabu! Babikkiddwa ng’ejjuba bwe libikkibwa ebiwaawaatiro byalyo.”
14 When Shaddai scattered kings in her, it snowed on Zalmon.
Ayinzabyonna yasaasaanya bakabaka, ne baba ng’omuzira bwe gugwa ku Zalumoni.
15 The mountains of Bashan are majestic mountains. The mountains of Bashan are rugged.
Ggwe olusozi olw’ekitiibwa, olusozi lwa Basani; ggwe olusozi olw’emitwe emingi, olusozi lwa Basani!
16 Why do you look in envy, you rugged mountains, at the mountain where God chooses to reign? Yes, the LORD will dwell there forever.
Lwaki otunuza obuggya ggwe olusozi olw’emitwe emingi? Lwaki okwatirwa obuggya olusozi Katonda lwe yalonda okufugirako? Ddala okwo Mukama kw’anaabeeranga ennaku zonna.
17 The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. The LORD is among them, from Sinai, in holiness.
Mukama ava ku lusozi Sinaayi nga yeetooloddwa amagaali enkumi n’enkumi n’ajja mu kifo kye ekitukuvu.
18 You have ascended on high. You have taken captivity captive. And you gave gifts to people; but the rebellious will not dwell in the presence of God.
Bwe walinnyalinnya olusozi, ng’abanyage bakugoberera; abantu ne bakuwa ebirabo nga ne bakyewaggula mwebali; bw’atyo Mukama Katonda n’abeeranga wamu nabo.
19 Blessed be the LORD, who daily bears our burdens, even the God who is our salvation. (Selah)
Atenderezebwe Mukama, Katonda omulokozi waffe, eyeetikka emigugu gyaffe egya buli lunaku.
20 God is to us a God of deliverance. To the LORD belongs escape from death.
Katonda waffe ye Katonda alokola; era tuddukira eri Mukama Katonda okuwona okufa.
21 But God will strike through the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of such a one as still continues in his guiltiness.
Ddala, Katonda alibetenta emitwe gy’abalabe be, kubanga ne mu bukadde bwabwe balemera mu bibi byabwe.
22 The LORD said, "I will bring you again from Bashan, I will bring you again from the depths of the sea;
Mukama agamba nti, “Ndibakomyawo nga mbaggya mu Basani, ndibazza nga mbaggya mu buziba bw’ennyanja,
23 That you may crush them, dipping your foot in blood, that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from your enemies."
mulyoke munaabe ebigere byammwe mu musaayi gw’abalabe bammwe, n’embwa zammwe zeefunire ebyokulya.”
24 They have seen your processions, God, even the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.
Ekibiina kyo ky’okulembedde bakirabye, Ayi Katonda, balabye abali ne Katonda wange, era Kabaka wange, ng’otambula okugenda mu watukuvu;
25 The singers went before, the minstrels followed after, in the midst of the ladies playing with tambourines,
abayimbi nga bakulembedde, ab’ebivuga nga bavaako emabega ne wakati waabwe nga waliwo abawala abakuba ebitaasa.
26 "Bless God in the congregations, even the LORD from the fountain of Israel."
Mutendereze Katonda mu kibiina ekinene; mumutendereze Mukama, mmwe abakuŋŋaanye abangi Abayisirayiri.
27 There is little Benjamin, their ruler, the princes of Judah, their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
Waliwo ekika kya Benyamini asinga obuto kye kikulembedde, ne kuddako ekibinja ekinene eky’abalangira ba Yuda, n’abalangira ba Zebbulooni n’abalangira ba Nafutaali.
28 Your God has commanded your strength. Strengthen, God, that which you have done for us.
Laga obuyinza bwo, Ayi Katonda, otulage amaanyi go, Ayi Katonda onyweze ebyo by’otukoledde.
29 Because of your temple at Jerusalem, kings shall bring presents to you.
Bakabaka balikuleetera ebirabo olwa Yeekaalu yo eri mu Yerusaalemi.
30 Rebuke the wild animal of the reeds, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the peoples. Being humbled, may it bring bars of silver. Scatter the nations that delight in war.
Nenya ensolo enkambwe ey’omu bisaalu, eggana lya ziseddume eriri mu nnyana z’amawanga. Gikkakkanye ereete omusolo ogwa ffeeza. Osaasaanye amawanga agasanyukira entalo.
31 Envoys shall come out of Egypt. Ethiopia shall hurry to stretch out her hands to God.
Ababaka baliva e Misiri, ne Kuusi aligondera Katonda.
32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth. Sing praises to the LORD. (Selah)
Muyimbire Katonda mmwe obwakabaka obw’ensi zonna. Mutendereze Mukama.
33 To him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which are of old; look, he utters his voice, a mighty voice.
Oyo eyeebagala eggulu erya waggulu ery’edda, eddoboozi lye ery’amaanyi liwuluguma okuva mu ggulu.
34 Ascribe strength to God. His excellency is over Israel, his strength is in the skies.
Mulangirire obuyinza bwa Katonda, ekitiibwa kye kibuutikidde Isirayiri; obuyinza bwe buli mu bire.
35 You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God.
Oli wa ntiisa, Ayi Katonda, mu kifo kyo ekitukuvu. Katonda wa Isirayiri, yawa abantu obuyinza n’amaanyi. Katonda atenderezebwe.
