< John 11 >

1 Now a certain man was sick, Leayzar from Beth-Naiya, of the village of Maryam and her sister, Marta.
ⲁ̅ⲚⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈϤϢⲰⲚⲒ ϪⲈ ⲖⲀⲌⲀⲢⲞⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲂⲎⲐⲀⲚⲒⲀ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠϮⲘⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲘⲀⲢⲐⲀ ⲦⲈⲤⲤⲰⲚⲒ.
2 It was that Maryam who had anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother, Leayzar, was sick.
ⲃ̅ⲚⲈ ⲐⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲦⲈ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲐⲀϨⲤ ⲘⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲞϪⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲤϤⲰϮ ⲚⲚⲈϤϬ ⲀⲖⲀⲨϪ ⲘⲠⲈⲤϤⲰⲒ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲠⲈⲤⲤⲞⲚ ⲖⲀⲌⲀⲢⲞⲤ ϢⲰⲚⲒ.
3 The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, "Lord, look, the one you love is sick."
ⲅ̅ⲀⲨⲞⲨⲰⲢⲠ ⲞⲨⲚ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲈϤⲤⲰⲚⲒ ⲚⲤϨⲒⲘⲒ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲒⲤ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲔⲘⲈⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϤϢⲰⲚⲒ.
4 But when Yeshua heard it, he said, "This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God's Son may be glorified by it."
ⲇ̅ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲆⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲦⲀⲒⲒⲀⲂⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲒⲀⲂⲒ ⲘⲪⲘⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲦⲈ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲰⲞⲨ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤϬⲒⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲤ.
5 Now Yeshua loved Marta, and her sister, and Leayzar.
ⲉ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀϤⲘⲈⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲢⲐⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲦⲈⲤⲤⲰⲚⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲖⲀⲌⲀⲢⲞⲤ.
6 When therefore he heard that he was sick, he stayed two days in the place where he was.
ⲋ̅ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ϪⲈ ϤϢⲰⲚⲒ ⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲚⲀϤⲬⲎ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ Ⲃ-.
7 Then after this he said to the disciples, "Let us go into Yehuda again."
ⲍ̅ⲘⲈⲚⲈⲚⲤⲀ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲀⲢⲞⲚ ⲈϮⲒⲞⲨⲆⲈⲀ ⲞⲚ.
8 The disciples told him, "Rabbi, the Jewish leaders were just trying to stone you, and are you going there again?"
ⲏ̅ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϪⲈ ⲢⲀⲂⲂⲒ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲨⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲰⲔ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲈϨⲒⲰⲚⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲔ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲬⲚⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲈⲘⲀⲨ.
9 Yeshua answered, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
ⲑ̅ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲎ ⲒⲂ ⲚⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲘⲞϢⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲘⲠⲀϤϬⲒϬⲢⲞⲠ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲪⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ.
10 But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him."
ⲓ̅ⲪⲎ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲐⲘⲞϢⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈϪⲰⲢϨ ϢⲀϤϬⲒϬⲢⲞⲠ ϪⲈ ⲠⲒⲞⲨⲰⲒⲚⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦϤ ⲀⲚ.
11 He said these things, and after that, he said to them, "Our friend, Leayzar, has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awake him out of sleep."
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲘⲈⲚⲈⲚⲤⲀ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲖⲀⲌⲀⲢⲞⲤ ⲠⲈⲚϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲀϤⲚⲔⲞⲦ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲒⲈϢⲈ ⲚⲎⲒ ⲚⲦⲀⲦⲞⲨⲚⲞⲤϤ.
12 Then the disciples said to him, "Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover."
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲚⲒⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲀϤⲚⲔⲞⲦ ⲈϤⲈⲦⲰⲚϤ.
13 Now Yeshua had spoken of his death, but they thought that he spoke of taking rest in sleep.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲒⲈⲚⲔⲞⲦ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲈϤⲘⲞⲨ ⲚⲐⲰⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀⲨⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲒⲚⲔⲞⲦ ⲚⲦⲈⲠⲒϨⲒⲚⲒⲘ.
14 So Yeshua said to them plainly then, "Leayzar is dead.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ⲦⲞⲦⲈ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲠⲀⲢⲢⲎⲤⲒⲀ ϪⲈ ⲖⲀⲌⲀⲢⲞⲤ ⲀϤⲘⲞⲨ
15 I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless, let us go to him."
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲚⲀϨϮ ϪⲈ ⲚⲀⲒⲬⲎ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲘⲀⲢⲞⲚ ϢⲀⲢⲞϤ.
16 Tama therefore, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, "Let us go also, that we may die with him."
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲐⲰⲘⲀⲤ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲆⲒⲆⲨⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲚⲈϤϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲘⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲀⲢⲞⲚ ϨⲰⲚ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲘⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ
17 So when Yeshua came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲈⲦⲀϤⲒ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲀϤϪⲈⲘϤ ⲈⲠⲈϤⲆ ⲠⲈ ⲈϤⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲘϨⲀⲨ.
18 Now Beth-Naiya was near Urishlim, about two miles away.
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲂⲎⲐⲀⲚⲒⲀ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀⲤϦⲈⲚⲦ ⲈⲒⲈⲢⲞⲤⲀⲖⲎⲘ ⲚⲀⲨ ⲒⲈ ⲚⲤⲦⲀⲆⲒⲞⲚ.
19 Many of the Jewish people had come to Marta and Maryam, to console them concerning their brother.
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲚⲈⲀⲨⲒ ⲠⲈ ϨⲀ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲘⲀⲢⲐⲀ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲞⲨⲤⲞⲚ.
20 Then when Marta heard that Yeshua was coming, she went and met him, but Maryam stayed in the house.
ⲕ̅ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚϪⲈⲘⲀⲢⲐⲀ ϪⲈ ϤⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲀⲤⲦⲰⲚⲤ ⲀⲤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈϨⲢⲀϤ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀⲤϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲎⲒ.
21 Therefore Marta said to Yeshua, "Lord, if you would have been here, my brother would not have died.
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲘⲀⲢⲐⲀ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ϪⲈ ⲠⲀϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲈⲚⲀⲔⲬⲎ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲘⲀ ⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲠⲀⲤⲞⲚ ⲚⲀⲘⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ.
22 Even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you."
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲚ ϮⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲔⲚⲀⲈⲢⲈⲦⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϤⲚⲀⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲀⲔ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
23 Yeshua said to her, "Your brother will rise again."
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲀⲤ ϪⲈ ϤⲚⲀⲦⲰⲚϤ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲈⲤⲞⲚ.
24 Marta said to him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲘⲀⲢⲐⲀ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ϮⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ϤⲚⲀⲦⲰⲚϤ ϦⲈⲚϮⲀⲚⲀⲤⲦⲀⲤⲒⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲚϦⲀⲈ.
25 Yeshua said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies.
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲀⲤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ϮⲀⲚⲀⲤⲦⲀⲤⲒⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲰⲚϦ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲢⲞⲒ ⲔⲀⲚ ⲀϤϢⲀⲚⲘⲞⲨ ⲈϤⲈⲰⲚϦ.
26 And whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" (aiōn g165)
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲦⲞⲚϦ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲐⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲢⲞⲒ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲘⲞⲨ ϢⲀ ⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲦⲈⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲪⲀⲒ. (aiōn g165)
27 She said to him, "Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Meshikha, the Son of God, he who comes into the world."
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲠⲈϪⲀⲤ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲠⲀϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϮⲚⲀϨϮ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲠϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲠⲒⲔⲞⲤⲘⲞⲤ.
28 And when she had said this, she went away, and called Maryam, her sister, secretly, saying, "The Teacher is here, and is calling you."
ⲕ̅ⲏ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲤϪⲞϤ ⲀⲤϢⲈ ⲚⲀⲤ ⲀⲤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲦⲈⲤⲤⲰⲚⲒ ⲚⲬⲰⲠ ⲈⲀⲤϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲀⲤ ϪⲈ ϤⲦⲀⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲢⲈϤϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϤⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞ.
29 When she heard this, she arose quickly, and went to him.
ⲕ̅ⲑ̅ⲚⲐⲞⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲀⲤⲦⲰⲚⲤ ⲚⲬⲰⲖⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲤⲒ ϨⲀⲢⲞϤ.
30 Now Yeshua had not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Marta met him.
ⲗ̅ⲚⲈ ⲘⲠⲀⲦⲈϤⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲠⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲈϨⲢⲎ ⲒⲈⲠϮⲘⲒ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲀϤⲬⲎ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲠⲈ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲘⲀⲢⲐⲀ ⲒϨⲀⲢⲞϤ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
31 Then the Yehudeans who were with her in the house, and were consoling her, when they saw Maryam, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, supposing that she was going to the tomb to weep there.
ⲗ̅ⲁ̅ⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲚⲀⲨⲬⲎ ⲚⲈⲘⲀⲤ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲎⲒ ⲈⲨⲐⲰⲦ ⲘⲠⲈⲤϨⲎⲦ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ϪⲈ ⲀⲤⲦⲰⲚⲤ ⲚⲬⲰⲖⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀⲨⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲚⲤⲰⲤ ⲈⲨⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲀⲤⲚⲀϨⲰⲖ ⲈⲠⲒⲘϨⲀⲨ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲤⲢⲒⲘⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ.
32 Therefore when Maryam came to where Yeshua was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying to him, "Lord, if you would have been here, my brother would not have died."
ⲗ̅ⲃ̅ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲒ ⲈⲠⲒⲘⲀ ⲈⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲬⲎ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀⲤⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲀⲤϨⲒⲦⲤ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲈϤϬⲀⲖⲀⲨϪ ⲈⲤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲠⲀϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲈⲚⲀⲔⲬⲎ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲘⲀ ⲚⲀⲢⲈ ⲠⲀⲤⲞⲚ ⲚⲀⲘⲞⲨ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ.
33 When Yeshua therefore saw her weeping, and the Yehudeans weeping who came with her, he was deeply moved in spirit and was troubled,
ⲗ̅ⲅ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲈⲤⲢⲒⲘⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲔⲈⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲀⲤ ⲈⲨⲢⲒⲘⲒ ⲀϤⲘⲔⲀϨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϢⲐⲞⲢⲦⲈⲢ
34 and said, "Where have you put him?" They told him, "Lord, come and see."
ⲗ̅ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲈⲦⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲬⲀϤ ⲐⲰⲚ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲠⲀϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲀⲘⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲚⲀⲨ.
35 Yeshua wept.
ⲗ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲚⲈϤⲂⲀⲖ ϮⲈⲢⲘⲎ.
36 The Yehudeans therefore said, "See how he loved him."
ⲗ̅ⲋ̅ⲚⲀⲨϪⲰ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ϪⲈ ⲀⲚⲀⲨ ⲠⲰⲤ ϤⲘⲈⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
37 But some of them said, "Could not this man, who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have also kept this man from dying?"
ⲗ̅ⲍ̅ϨⲀⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲠⲈϪⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲒⲈ ⲚⲈⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲪⲀⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲞⲨⲰⲚ ⲚⲚⲈⲚⲂⲀⲖ ⲘⲠⲒⲂⲈⲖⲖⲈ ⲘⲘⲒⲤⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤϢⲦⲈⲘⲬⲀ ⲠⲀⲒⲬⲈⲦ ⲈⲘⲞⲨ.
38 So Yeshua, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
ⲗ̅ⲏ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲀϤϢⲈⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲚϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲚϦⲎⲦϤ ⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲠⲒⲘϨⲀⲨ ⲚⲈⲞⲨⲂⲎⲂ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲰⲚⲒ ⲦⲞⲒ ⲈⲢⲞϤ.
39 Yeshua said, "Take away the stone." Marta, the sister of the dead man, said to him, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days."
ⲗ̅ⲑ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ϢⲰⲠ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲰⲚⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲘⲀⲢⲐⲀ ⲚⲀϤ ⲦⲤⲰⲚⲒ ⲘⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲘⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲀϤⲬⲰⲚⲤ ⲠⲈϤⲆ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲪⲞⲞⲨ.
40 Yeshua said to her, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see God's glory?"
ⲙ̅ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲀⲤ ϪⲈ ⲘⲠⲒϪⲞⲤ ⲚⲈϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲈϢⲀⲚⲚⲀϨϮ ⲦⲈⲢⲀⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲠⲰⲞⲨ ⲘⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
41 So they took away the stone. And Yeshua lifted up his eyes, and said, "Father, I thank you that you listened to me.
ⲙ̅ⲁ̅ⲀⲨⲰⲖⲒ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲘⲠⲒⲰⲚⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒ ⲢⲰϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲘϨⲀⲨ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤϤⲀⲒ ⲚⲚⲈϤⲂⲀⲖ ⲈⲠϢⲰⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲠⲀⲒⲰⲦ ϮϢⲈⲠϨⲘⲞⲦ ⲚⲦⲞⲦⲔ ϪⲈ ⲀⲔⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲢⲞⲒ.
42 I know that you always listen to me, but because of the crowd that stands around I said this, that they may believe that you sent me."
ⲙ̅ⲃ̅ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀⲒⲈⲘⲒ ⲠⲈ ϪⲈ ⲔⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲢⲞⲒ ⲚⲤⲎⲞⲨ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲀⲒⲘⲎϢ ⲈⲦⲔⲰϮ ⲈⲢⲞⲒ ⲀⲒϪⲞⲤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈⲦⲀⲔⲦⲀⲞⲨⲞⲒ.
43 When he had said this, he shouted with a loud voice, "Leayzar, come out."
ⲙ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲀϤⲰϢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲤⲘⲎ ϪⲈ ⲖⲀⲌⲀⲢⲞⲤ ⲀⲘⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ.
44 The man who had died came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Yeshua said to them, "Free him, and let him go."
ⲙ̅ⲇ̅ⲀϤⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲘⲞⲨ ⲈϤⲘⲎⲢ ⲚⲚⲈϤϬⲀⲖⲀⲨϪ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈϤϪⲒϪ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲤⲈⲂⲈⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲈϤϨⲞ ⲘⲎⲢ ⲚⲞⲨⲤⲞⲆⲀⲢⲒⲞⲚ ⲠⲈϪⲈ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲘⲀϮⲞⲨⲰ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲬⲀϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲀⲢⲈϤϢⲈ ⲚⲀϤ.
45 Therefore many of the Yehudeans, who came to Maryam and had seen the things which he did, believed in him.
ⲙ̅ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲒ ϨⲀ ⲘⲀⲢⲒⲀ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲚⲀⲨ ⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲀⲒⲦⲞⲨ ⲀⲨⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ.
46 But some of them went away to the Pharisees, and told them the things which Yeshua had done.
ⲙ̅ⲋ̅ϨⲀⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲀⲨϢⲈ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲀ ⲚⲒⲪⲀⲢⲒⲤⲈⲞⲤ ⲀⲨⲦⲀⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲀⲒϤ ⲚϪⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ.
47 The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, "What are we doing? For this man does many signs.
ⲙ̅ⲍ̅ⲀⲨⲐⲰⲞⲨϮ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲪⲀⲢⲒⲤⲈⲞⲤ ⲚⲞⲨⲐⲰⲞⲨⲦⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲀⲀⲒϤ ⲚⲀϢⲈ ⲚⲒⲘⲎⲒⲚⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲒⲢⲒ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ.
48 If we leave him alone like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation."
ⲙ̅ⲏ̅ⲈϢⲰⲠ ⲀⲚϢⲀⲚⲬⲀϤ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲤⲈⲚⲀϨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲤⲈⲚⲀⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲈⲞⲤ ⲤⲈⲚⲀⲰⲖⲒ ⲘⲠⲈⲚⲦⲞⲠⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈⲚϢⲖⲞⲖ.
49 But a certain one of them, Qayapha, being high priest that year, said to them, "You know nothing at all,
ⲙ̅ⲑ̅ⲀϤⲈⲢⲞⲨⲰ ⲆⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϦⲎ ⲦⲞⲨ ⲈⲠⲈϤⲢⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲔⲀⲒⲀⲪⲀ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚϮⲢⲞⲘⲠⲒ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲠⲈϪⲀϤ ⲚⲰⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ⲚϨⲖⲒ ⲀⲚ.
50 nor do you consider that it is advantageous for you that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish."
ⲛ̅ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲘⲞⲔⲘⲈⲔ ⲘⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲤⲈⲢⲚⲞϤⲢⲒ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ ⲘⲞⲨ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈϢⲦⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲈⲐⲚⲞⲤ ⲦⲎⲢϤ ⲦⲀⲔⲞ.
51 Now he did not say this of himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Yeshua would die for the nation,
ⲛ̅ⲁ̅ⲚⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲈ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ϪⲈ ⲚⲀϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲢⲞⲘⲠⲒ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲠⲢⲞⲪⲎ ⲦⲈⲨⲒⲚ ϪⲈ ϨⲰϮ ⲚⲦⲈⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲘⲞⲨ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒϢⲖⲞⲖ
52 and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.
ⲛ̅ⲃ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒϢⲖⲞⲖ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ ⲀⲚ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲒⲔⲈϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲦϪⲎⲢ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲐⲞⲨⲰⲦⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲘⲈⲦⲞⲨⲀⲒ.
53 So from that day on they plotted to kill him.
ⲛ̅ⲅ̅ⲒⲤϪⲈⲚ ϮⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲦⲈⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲀⲨⲤⲞϬⲚⲒ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲤⲈϦⲞⲐⲂⲈϤ.
54 Yeshua therefore walked no more openly among the Yehudeans, but departed from there into the country near the wilderness, to a city called Aphreeim; and stayed there with his disciples.
ⲛ̅ⲇ̅ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲀϤⲘⲞϢⲒ ⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲚϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚϮⲒⲞⲨⲆⲈⲀ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲀϤϢⲈ ⲚⲀϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲈⲞⲨⲬⲰⲢⲀ ϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲒϢⲀϤⲈ ⲈⲞⲨⲂⲀⲔⲒ ⲈⲨⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲈⲪⲢⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲈϤⲘⲀⲐⲎⲦⲎⲤ.
55 Now the Jewish Passover was near, and many went up from the country to Urishlim before the Passover, to purify themselves.
ⲛ̅ⲉ̅ⲚⲀϤϦⲈⲚⲦ ⲆⲈ ⲠⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲒⲠⲀⲤⲬⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲨⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ⲈϨⲢⲎ ⲒⲈⲒⲈⲢⲞⲤⲀⲖⲎⲘ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚϮⲬⲰⲢⲀ ϦⲀϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲠⲀⲤⲬⲀ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨⲦⲞⲨⲂⲰⲞⲨ.
56 Then they sought for Yeshua and spoke one with another, as they stood in the temple, "What do you think—that he is not coming to the feast at all?"
ⲛ̅ⲋ̅ⲚⲀⲨⲔⲰϮ ⲞⲨⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲚⲤⲀⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲒⲞⲨⲆⲀⲒ ⲈⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ⲚⲚⲞⲨⲈⲢⲎⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲞⲨ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲈⲢⲪⲈⲒ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲘⲈⲨⲒ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ϤⲚⲀⲒ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲠϢⲀⲒ.
57 Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where he was, he should report it, that they might arrest him.
ⲛ̅ⲍ̅ⲚⲈ ⲀⲨϮ ⲈⲚⲦⲞⲖⲎ ⲠⲈ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲒⲀⲢⲬⲒⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲪⲀⲢⲒⲤⲈⲞⲤ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲀⲢⲈϢⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈⲘⲒ ϪⲈ ⲀϤⲐⲰⲚ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲦⲀⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲚⲤⲈⲦⲀϨⲞϤ.
