< Hebrews 12 >

1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
ⲁ̅ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ϨⲰⲚ ⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨϬⲎⲠⲒ ⲚⲦⲀⲒⲘⲀⲒⲎ ⲬⲎ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲰⲚ ⲚⲦⲈϨⲀⲚⲘⲀⲢⲦⲨⲢⲞⲤ ⲈⲀⲚⲬⲰ ⲚⲤⲰⲚ ⲘⲘⲈⲦϬⲀⲤⲒϨⲎⲦ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲪⲚⲞⲂⲒ ⲈⲦⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦϤ ⲈⲢⲞⲚ ⲈⲘⲀϢⲰ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲞⲨϨⲨⲠⲞⲘⲞⲚⲎ ⲘⲀⲢⲈⲚϬⲞϪⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒⲀⲄⲰⲚ ⲈⲦⲬⲎ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ.
2 looking to Yeshua, the founder and completer of the faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
ⲃ̅ⲈⲚϪⲞⲨϢⲦ ⲈⲠⲀⲢⲬⲎⲄⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲀϨϮ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲢⲈϤϪⲰⲔ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲚⲦϢⲈⲂⲒⲰ ⲘⲠⲒⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲈⲦⲬⲎ ϦⲀϪⲰϤ ⲀϤⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲚⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲈⲞⲨⲤⲦⲀⲨⲢⲞⲤ ⲀϤⲈⲢⲔⲀⲦⲀⲪⲢⲞⲚⲒⲚ ⲘⲠϢⲒⲠⲒ ⲀϤϨⲈⲘⲤⲒ ⲤⲀⲞⲨⲒⲚⲀⲘ ⲘⲠⲒⲐⲢⲞⲚⲞⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ.
3 For consider him who has endured such hostility from sinners against himself, so that you may not become tired and give up.
ⲅ̅ⲘⲈⲔⲘⲈⲔ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲦⲀⲒⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈϤⲀⲘⲞⲚⲒ ⲚⲦⲞⲦϤ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲘⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲞⲨ ⲚⲚⲒⲢⲈϤⲈⲢⲚⲞⲂⲒ ⲈⲨⲀⲚⲦⲒⲖⲞⲄⲒⲀ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲘⲘⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲦⲈⲘϬⲒϦⲒⲤⲒ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲂⲎⲖ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲈⲦⲈⲚⲮⲨⲬⲎ.
4 You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your struggle against sin;
ⲇ̅ⲘⲠⲀⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲞϨⲒ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϮ ⲞⲨⲂⲈ ⲪⲚⲞⲂⲒ ϢⲀ ⲈϦⲢⲎⲒ ⲈⲠⲤⲚⲞϤ.
5 and you have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children, "My son, do not take lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor lose heart when you are corrected by him.
ⲉ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲠⲰⲂϢ ⲘⲠⲒⲐⲰⲦ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚϨⲀⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲠⲀϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲈⲢⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ϦⲈⲚϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲦⲈⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲞⲨⲆⲈ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲂⲰⲖ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲈϤⲤⲞϨⲒ ⲘⲘⲞⲔ.
6 For whom the Lord loves he disciplines, and punishes every son he accepts."
ⲋ̅ⲪⲎ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ ⲘⲈⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ϢⲀϤϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲀϤ ϢⲀϤⲈⲢⲘⲀⲤⲦⲒⲄⲄⲞⲒⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲦⲈϤⲚⲀϢⲞⲠⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲞϤ.
7 If you are enduring discipline, God is dealing with you as children. For what child is there whom his father does not discipline?
ⲍ̅ⲀⲢⲒϨⲨⲠⲞⲘⲈⲚⲒⲚ ⲚⲤⲂⲰ ⲀϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚϨⲀⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲒⲘ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲘⲠⲀⲢⲈ ⲠⲈϤⲒⲰⲦ ϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲀϤ.
8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have been made partakers, then you are illegitimate, and not children.
ⲏ̅ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲬⲎ ⲤⲀⲂⲞⲖ ⲚϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢϢⲪⲎⲢ ⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲦⲎⲢⲞⲨ ϨⲀⲢⲀ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϨⲀⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲚⲚⲞⲨϪ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲐⲰⲦⲈⲚ ϨⲀⲚϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲀⲚ.
9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live?
ⲑ̅ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲚⲈⲚⲒⲞϮ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲚⲀⲨⲚⲦⲀⲚ ⲘⲘⲀⲨ ⲚⲢⲈϤϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲀⲚϢⲪⲒⲦ ϦⲀⲦⲞⲨϨⲎ ⲒⲈ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲀⲚ ϪⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲚϬⲚⲈϪⲰⲚ ⲘⲪⲒⲰⲦ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲰⲚϦ.
10 For they indeed, for a few days, disciplined us as seemed good to them; but he for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness.
ⲓ̅ⲚⲎ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲠⲢⲞⲤ ⲞⲨⲔⲞⲨϪⲒ ⲚⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲚⲀⲨϮⲤⲂⲰ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲠⲈⲦⲈϨⲚⲰⲞⲨ ⲪⲀⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲢⲚⲞϤⲢⲒ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲞ ϪⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲚϬⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲦⲈϤⲘⲈⲦⲦⲞⲨⲂⲞ.
11 All discipline seems for the moment painful, not joyful; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been exercised thereby.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲤⲂⲰ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲠⲢⲞⲤ ϮⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨ ⲘⲈⲚ ⲘⲠⲀⲔϪⲈⲘⲞⲨ ⲈⲚⲀⲞⲨⲢⲀϢⲒ ⲚⲈⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲚϨⲎⲦ ⲈⲠϦⲀⲈ ⲆⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲨⲦⲀϨ ⲚϨⲒⲢⲎⲚⲒⲔⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ϢⲀⲤⲦⲎⲒϤ ⲚⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢⲄⲨⲘⲚⲀⲌⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲤ.
12 Therefore, lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees,
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲈⲐⲂⲈⲪⲀⲒ ⲚⲒϪⲒϪ ⲈⲦⲬⲎ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲪⲀⲦ ⲈⲦⲂⲎⲖ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲀⲦⲀϨⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲢⲀⲦⲞⲨ
13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that which is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲀⲢⲒⲞⲨⲒ ⲚϨⲀⲚϪⲒⲚϬⲞϪⲒ ⲈⲨⲤⲞⲨⲦⲰⲚ ⲚⲚⲈⲦⲈⲚϬ ⲀⲖⲀⲨϪ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϢⲦⲈⲘ ϮⲘⲈⲦϬⲀⲖⲈ ⲢⲒⲔⲒ ⲘⲀⲖⲖⲞⲚ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲦⲈⲤⲖⲞϪⲤ.
14 Pursue peace with everyone, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord,
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ϬⲞϪⲒ ⲚⲤⲀϮϨⲒⲢⲎⲚⲎ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲦⲞⲨⲂⲞ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲀⲦϬⲚⲞⲨϤ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ϨⲖⲒ ⲚⲀⲚⲀⲨ ⲘⲠϬⲞⲒⲤ.
15 looking carefully lest there be anyone who falls short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by it many become defiled;
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲞⲘⲤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲎⲠⲰⲤ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ⲈϤϢⲀⲦ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲒϨⲘⲞⲦ ⲘⲎⲠⲰⲤ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨⲚⲒ ⲚϢⲀϢⲒ ⲈⲤⲢⲎⲦ ⲈⲠϢⲰⲒ ⲈⲤϮⲘⲔⲀϨ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲞⲦⲤ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲘⲎϢ ϬⲰϦⲈⲘ.
16 that there be no sexually immoral or profane person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for one meal.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲘⲎⲠⲰⲤ ⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲞⲨⲠⲞⲢⲚⲞⲤ ⲒⲈ ⲞⲨⲤⲀϤϨⲎⲦ ⲘⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲎⲤⲀⲨ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤϮ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲘⲈⲦϢⲀⲘⲒⲤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϦⲢⲈ ⲚⲞⲨⲰⲦ.
17 For you know that even when he afterward desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for a change of mind though he sought it diligently with tears.
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲰⲞⲨⲚ ϪⲈ ⲘⲈⲚⲈⲚⲤⲰⲤ ⲈϤⲞⲨⲰϢ ⲈⲈⲢⲔⲖⲎⲢⲞⲚⲞⲘⲒⲚ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲘⲞⲨ ⲀⲨϨⲒⲦϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲠⲈϤϪⲈⲘ ⲘⲀ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲈⲢⲘⲈⲦⲀⲚⲞⲒⲚ ⲔⲈⲦⲞⲒ ⲚⲈⲀϤⲔⲰϮ ⲚⲤⲰⲤ ϦⲈⲚϨⲀⲚⲈⲢⲘⲰⲞⲨⲒ.
18 For you have not come to something that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and darkness, gloom, and storm,
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ϨⲀ ⲞⲨⲬⲢⲰⲘ ⲚϪⲞⲘϪⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈϤⲘⲞϨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲄⲚⲞⲪⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲬⲀⲔⲒ ⲈϤⲪⲞⲚϨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲤⲀⲢⲀⲐⲎⲞⲨ.
19 the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which those who heard it begged that not one more word should be spoken to them,
ⲓ̅ⲑ̅ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲤⲈⲚⲤⲈⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲤⲀⲖⲠⲒⲄⲄⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲦⲤⲘⲎ ⲚⲦⲈϨⲀⲚⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲐⲎ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲢⲞⲤ ⲈⲢⲠⲀⲢⲀⲦⲒⲤⲐⲈ ⲈϢⲦⲈⲘⲞⲨⲀϨⲈⲘ ⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲰⲞⲨ.
20 for they could not stand that which was commanded, "If even an animal touches the mountain, it shall be stoned;"
ⲕ̅ⲚⲀⲨϢϤⲀⲒ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ϦⲀ ⲠⲈⲦⲈⲚⲀⲨϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲔⲀⲚ ⲞⲨⲐⲎⲢⲒⲞⲚ ⲀϤϢⲀⲚϬⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲦⲰⲞⲨ ⲈⲨⲈϨⲒⲰⲚⲒ ⲈϪⲰϤ
21 and so fearful was the appearance, that Mushe said, "I am terrified and trembling."
ⲕ̅ⲁ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲀϤⲞⲒ ⲚϨⲞϮ ⲚϪⲈⲠⲈⲐⲞⲨⲞⲚϨ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲰⲨⲤⲎⲤ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲀϤϪⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ϮⲞⲒ ⲚϨⲞϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϮⲤⲐⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲢ.
22 But you have come to Mount Tsehyun, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Urishlim, and to innumerable multitudes of angels,
ⲕ̅ⲃ̅ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲒ ϨⲀ ⲠⲒⲦⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲤⲒⲰⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϮⲂⲀⲔⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲦⲞⲚϦ ⲒⲈⲢⲞⲤⲀⲖⲎⲘ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲪⲈ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲐⲂⲀ ⲚⲀⲄⲄⲈⲖⲞⲤ ⲈⲨⲈⲢϢⲀⲒ.
23 to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of righteous people made perfect,
ⲕ̅ⲅ̅ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲈⲔⲔⲖⲎⲤⲒⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϨⲀⲚϢⲀⲘⲒⲤⲒ ⲈⲤⲤϦⲎⲞⲨⲦ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲪⲎⲞⲨⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲢⲈϤϮϨⲀⲠ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲠⲚⲈⲨⲘⲀⲚⲦⲈⲚⲒⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲈⲦϪⲎⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ.
24 to Yeshua, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Habeil.
ⲕ̅ⲇ̅ⲚⲈⲘ ⲒⲎⲤⲞⲨⲤ ⲠⲒⲘⲈⲤⲒⲦⲎⲤ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲆⲒⲀⲐⲎⲔⲎ ⲘⲂⲈⲢⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨⲤⲚⲞϤ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲚⲞⲨϪϦ ⲈϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲈϨⲞⲦⲈ ⲪⲀ ⲀⲂⲈⲖ.
25 See that you do not refuse him who speaks. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned on the earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven,
ⲕ̅ⲉ̅ⲀⲚⲀⲨ ⲘⲠⲈⲢⲈⲢⲠⲀⲢⲀⲦⲒⲤⲐⲈ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲒⲤϪⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲎ ⲘⲠⲞⲨϢⲪⲰⲦ ϨⲒϪⲈⲚ ⲠⲒⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲈⲦⲀⲨⲈⲢⲠⲀⲢⲀⲦⲒⲤⲐⲈ ⲘⲠⲈⲦⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚϨⲞⲨⲞ ⲘⲀⲖⲖⲞⲚ ⲀⲚⲞⲚ ϦⲀ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲔⲈⲦ ϨⲢⲀⲨ ⲤⲀⲂⲞⲖ ⲘⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲒ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲪⲎⲞⲨⲒ.
26 whose voice shook the earth then, but now he has promised, saying, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens."
ⲕ̅ⲋ̅ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲀ ⲦⲈϤⲤⲘⲎ ⲔⲒⲘ ⲘⲠⲒⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲘⲠⲒⲤⲎ ⲞⲨ ϮⲚⲞⲨ ⲆⲈ ⲀϤⲰϢ ⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϪⲈ ⲈⲦⲒ ⲔⲈⲤⲞⲠ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ϮⲚⲀⲘⲞⲚⲘⲈⲚ ⲞⲨ ⲘⲞⲚⲞⲚ ⲈⲠⲔⲀϨⲒ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲚⲈⲘ ϮⲔⲈⲪⲈ
27 This phrase, "Yet once more," signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain.
ⲕ̅ⲍ̅ⲠⲒⲈⲦⲒ ⲆⲈ ⲚⲔⲈⲤⲞⲠ ⲈϤⲦⲀⲘⲞ ⲘⲘⲞⲚ ⲈⲨⲞⲨⲰⲦⲈⲂ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲚⲦⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲞⲨⲔⲒⲘ ⲈⲢⲰⲞⲨ ϨⲰⲤ ⲈⲨⲐⲘⲀⲒⲎⲞⲨⲦ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲞⲨϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲨⲤⲘⲞⲚⲦ ⲚϪⲈⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲈⲔⲒⲘ ⲀⲚ.
28 So since we are receiving a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us give thanks, through which we may offer service pleasing to God, with reverence and awe,
