2 Corinthians 5
1 For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, everlasting, in the heavens. (aiōnios g166)
En effet, nous savons que si cette maison de terre que nous habitons présentement se dissout, nous avons une autre maison construite par Dieu, non par la main des hommes, et éternelle dans les cieux. (aiōnios g166)
2 For truly in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,
Et pour cela nous gémissons, désirant d’être revêtus de notre habitation qui est du ciel;
3 since, after we have put it on, we will not be found naked.
Si toutefois nous sommes trouvés vêtus, et non pas nus.
4 For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened; not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
Car, pendant que nous sommes dans cette tente, nous gémissons tous sous sa pesanteur, parce que nous ne voulons pas être dépouillés, mais revêtus par-dessus, en sorte que ce qu’il y a de mortel soit absorbé par la vie.
5 Now he who made us for this very thing is God, who also gave to us the down payment of the Rukha.
Or celui qui nous a formés pour cet état même, c’est Dieu, qui nous a donné le gage de l’Esprit
6 Therefore, we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord;
Ainsi, toujours pleins de confiance, sachant que, pendant que nous sommes dans ce corps, nous voyageons loin du Seigneur
7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.
(Car c’est par la foi que nous marchons, et non par une claire vue);
8 We are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.
Oui, pleins de confiance, nous aimons mieux sortir de ce corps, et aller jouir de la présence du Seigneur.
9 Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him.
C’est pourquoi, soit absents, soit présents, nous faisons tous nos efforts pour lui plaire.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Meshikha; that each one may receive the things in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
Car nous devons tous comparaître devant le tribunal du Christ, afin que chacun reçoive ce qui est dû à son corps, selon ce qu’il a fait ou de bien ou de mal.
11 Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade people, but we are revealed to God; and I hope that we are revealed also in your consciences.
Sachant donc combien le Seigneur est redoutable, nous tâchons de persuader les hommes, mais nous sommes connus de Dieu. Or j’espère que nous sommes aussi connus dans vos consciences.
12 We are not commending ourselves to you again, but speak as giving you occasion of boasting on our behalf, that you may have something to answer those who boast in appearance, and not in heart.
Nous ne nous recommandons pas de nouveau auprès de vous, mais nous vous donnons occasion de vous glorifier à notre sujet, afin que vous ayez quoi répondre à ceux qui se glorifient en apparence, mais non dans le cœur.
13 For if we are out of control, it is for God. If we are in a reasonable way, it is for you.
Car si nous sommes emportés comme hors de nous-mêmes, c’est pour Dieu; si nous sommes plus retenus, c’est pour vous.
14 For the love of Meshikha constrains us; because we judge thus, that one died for all, therefore all died.
Parce que la charité du Christ nous presse; considérant que si un seul est mort pour tous, donc tous sont morts;
15 He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.
Et le Christ est mort pour tous, afin que ceux qui vivent ne vivent plus pour eux, mais pour celui qui est mort pour eux, et est ressuscité.
16 Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Meshikha after the flesh, yet now we no longer know him in this way.
C’est pourquoi, dès ce moment, nous ne connaissons plus personne selon la chair. Et si nous avons connu le Christ selon la chair, maintenant nous ne le connaissons plus ainsi.
17 Therefore if anyone is in Meshikha, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Look, new things have come.
Si donc quelqu’un est en Jésus-Christ, il est une créature nouvelle; les choses anciennes ont passé: voilà que tout est devenu nouveau.
18 But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Yeshua Meshikha, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;
Et le tout vient de Dieu, qui nous a réconciliés à lui par le Christ, et nous a confié le ministère de la réconciliation;
19 namely, that God was in Meshikha reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Car c’est Dieu qui était dans le Christ, se réconciliant le monde, ne leur imputant point leurs péchés, et qui a mis en nous la parole de la réconciliation.
20 We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Meshikha, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Meshikha, be reconciled to God.
Nous faisons donc les fonctions d’ambassadeurs pour le Christ, Dieu exhortant par notre bouche. Nous vous en conjurons par le Christ, réconciliez-vous à Dieu.
21 For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Car celui qui ne connaissait point le péché, il l’a rendu péché pour l’amour de nous, afin qu’en lui nous devinssions justice de Dieu.
