< Ephesians 5 >

1 Be, therefore, imitators of God, as beloved children;
Çareten bada Iaincoaren imitaçale haour maite anço:
2 and walk in love, even as Christ has loved us, and has given himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God, for a sweet smelling savor.
Eta ebil çaitezte charitatean Christec-ere onhetsi vkan gaituen beçala, eta liuratu vkan baitrauca bere buruä guregatic oblatione eta sacrificio Iaincoari, vssain onezco vrrinetan
3 But whoredom, and all uncleanness, and inordinate desire-- let them not even be named among you; (as it becomes saints; )
Bada, paillardiça eta cithalqueria gucia, edo auaritiá aippa-ere eztadila çuen artean, nola appartenitzen baitzaye sainduey:
4 nor obscenity, nor foolish talking, nor double meanings, nor things uncomely; but rather thanksgiving.
Edo gauça deshonestic, edo hitz erhoric, edo burlaqueriaric, baitirade gauça vngui eztaudenac, baina aitzitic gratién rendatzeric.
5 For this you know, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor lascivious man, who is an idolater, has inheritance in the kingdom of Christ, and of God.
Ecen badaquiçue haur, ecen ecein ere paillartec, edo cithalec, edo auaritiosoc, cein baita idolatre, eztuela heretageric Christen eta Iaincoaren resumán.
6 Let no one deceive you with vain speeches; for on account of these things, the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.
Nehorc etzaitzatela hitz vanoz engana: ecen gauça haucgatic ethorten da Iaincoaren hirá desobedientiazco haourrén gainera.
7 Be not, therefore, participants with them.
Etzaretela bada hequin parçonér.
8 For you were formerly darkness; but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light.
Ecen noizpait ilhumbe cineten, baina orain argui çarete gure Iaunean: arguizco haour anço ebil çaitezte:
9 (Now, the fruit of life consists in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth.)
(Ecen Spirituaren fructua consistitzen da ontassun eta iustitia eta eguia gucitan)
10 Approve what is well pleasing to the Lord.
Experimentatzen duçuelaric Iaunari placent çayona cer den.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.
Eta ezteçaçuela communica ilhumbearen obra fructu gabetan, baina aitzitic reprehendi-ere itzaçue.
12 For the things which are secretly done by them, it is base even to mention.
Ecen heçaz ichilic eguiten diraden gaucén erraitea-ere deshonestate da.
13 But all these reprehensible things are made manifest by the light; for whatever makes manifest is light.
Baina gauça guciac, camporatzen diradenean arguiaz, manifestatzen dirade: ecen gucia manifestatzen duena, arguia da.
14 Wherefore, it says, Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine upon you.
Halacotz erraiten du, Iratzar adi lo atzaná, eta iaiqui adi hiletaric, eta arguituren au Christec.
15 See, then, that you walk accurately: not as fools, but as wise men;
Gogoauçue bada nola çuhurqui ebil çaitezqueten, ez erho anço, baina çuhur anço:
16 redeeming time, because the days are evil.
Recrubatzen duçuelaric demborá: ecen egunac gaitz dirade.
17 Therefore be not simpletons, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Halacotz, etzaretela çuhurtzia gabe, baina aditzale ceric den Iaunaren vorondatea.
18 And we not drunk with wine, by which comes dissoluteness; but be filled with the Spirit:
Eta etzaiteztela hordi mahatsarnoz, ceinetan dissolutione baita: baina bethe çaitezte Spirituaz:
19 speaking to one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord:
Minçatzen çaretela çuen artean psalmuz, laudorioz eta cantu spiritualez: cantatzen eta resonatzen draucaçuela Iaunari çuen bihotzean.
20 giving thanks at all times for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father.
Gratiac-ere rendatzen drautzaçuela bethiere gauça guciéz, Iesus Christ gure Iaunaren icenean, gure Iainco eta Aitari:
21 Be subject to one another, in the fear of God.
Elkarren suiet çaretelaric Iaincoaren beldurrequin.
22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
Emazteác, çuen senharrén çareten suiet, Iaunaren beçala:
23 For the husband is head of the wife, even as Christ is head of the congregation; he is the saviour of the body.
Ecen senharra da emaztearen buru, Christ-ere Eliçaren buru den beçala, eta hura da gorputzaren saluadorea.
24 Therefore, as the congregation is subject to Christ; so, also, let the wives be to their own husbands, in everything.
Bada, nola Eliçá baita Christen suiet, hala emazteac-ere diraden bere senharrén suiet gauça gucietan.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ, also, loved the congregation, and gave himself for it;
Senharrác, çuen emaztey on erizteçue, Christec-ere Eliçari on eritzi draucan beçala, eta bere buruä eman vkan baitu harengatic:
26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it with a bath of water, with the word.
Hura sanctifica leçançát, purificaturic vrezco ikutzez hitzaz.
27 That he might present it to himself glorious, a congregation not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it might be holy, and without blemish.
Hura beretaco Eliça glorioso eguin leçançát, macularic ez cimurduraric gabe, ez halaco berce gauçaric: baina licén saindu eta irreprehensible.
28 So ought husbands to love their own wives, as their own bodies: he who loves his own wife, loves himself.
Hala senharréc on eritzi behar drauece bere emaztey nola bere gorputzey: bere emazteari on daritzanac, bere buruäri on daritza.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the congregation:
Ecen nehorc egundano bere haraguiari eztrauca gaitz eritzi: baina hatzen eta entretenitzen du hura, Iaunac-ere bere Eliçá beçala:
30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Ecen haren gorputzeco membro gara, haren haraguitic eta haren heçurretaric.
31 For this reason shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall adhere to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.
Halacotz, vtziren ditu guiçonac aita eta ama eta iunctaturen çayó bere emazteari: eta biac haraguibat içanen dirade.
32 This is a great mystery; but I speak concerning Christ and the congregation.
Mysterio haur handia da: baina ni Christez minço naiz eta Eliçáz.
33 Therefore, also, let every one of you in particular, so love his own wife as himself; and let the wife reverence her husband.
Hunegatic, çuec-ere eguiçue çuen aldetic batbederac hala on daritzón bere emazteari nola bere buruäri: eta emaztea bere senharraren beldur biz.
