Amos 2
1 Thus said YHWH: “For three transgressions of Moab, And for four, I do not reverse it, Because of his burning the bones of the king of Edom to lime,
Овако вели Господ: За три зла и за четири што учини Моав, нећу му опростити, јер сажеже кости цара едомског у креч.
2 And I have sent a fire against Moab, And it has consumed the palaces of Kerioth, And Moab is dying with noise, With shouting, with voice of a horn.
Него ћу пустити огањ на Моава, те ће прождрети дворове у Кариоту, и Моав ће погинути с вревом, с виком и с гласом трубним.
3 And I have cut off judge from her midst, And I slay all its heads with him,” said YHWH.
И истребићу судију из њега и све кнезове његове побићу с њим, вели Господ.
4 Thus said YHWH: “For three transgressions of Judah, And for four, I do not reverse it, Because of their loathing the Law of YHWH, And His statutes they have not kept, And their lies cause them to err, After which their fathers walked,
Овако вели Господ: За три зла и за четири што учини Јуда, нећу му опростити, јер презреше закон Господњи и уредбе Његове не држаше, и преварише се лажима својим, за којима ходише оци њихови.
5 And I have sent a fire against Judah, And it has consumed palaces of Jerusalem.”
Него ћу пустити огањ у Јуду, те ће прождрети дворе јерусалимске.
6 Thus said YHWH: “For three transgressions of Israel, And for four, I do not reverse it, Because of their selling the righteous for silver, And the needy for a pair of sandals.
Овако вели Господ: За три зла и за четири што учини Израиљ, нећу му опростити, јер продаваше праведника за новце и убогог за једне опанке.
7 Who are panting for the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, And the way of the humble they turn aside, And a man and his father go to the girl, So as to defile My holy Name.
Чезну за прахом земаљским на глави сиромасима, и превраћају пут смернима; и син и отац одлазе к једној девојци да скврне свето име моје.
8 And they stretch themselves on pledged garments near every altar, And the wine of fined ones they drink [in] the house of their gods.
И на хаљинама у залогу узетим леже код сваког олтара, и вино оглобљених пију у кући богова својих.
9 And I have destroyed the Amorite from before them, Whose height [is] as the height of cedars, And he [is] strong as the oaks, And I destroy his fruit from above, And his roots from beneath.
А ја истребих испред њих Амореје, који беху високи као кедри и јаки као храстови, и потрх род њихов озго и жиле њихове оздо.
10 And I have brought you up from the land of Egypt, And cause you to go in a wilderness forty years, To possess the land of the Amorite.
И ја вас изведох из земље мисирске, и водих вас по пустињи четрдесет година да бисте наследили земљу аморејску.
11 And I raise of your sons for prophets, And of your choice ones for Nazarites, Is this not true, O sons of Israel?” A declaration of YHWH.
И подизах између синова ваших пророке и између младића ваших назиреје. Није ли тако? Синови Израиљеви, говори Господ.
12 “And you cause the Nazarites to drink wine, And on the prophets you have laid a charge, Saying, Do not prophesy!
А ви појисте назиреје вином, и пророцима забрањивасте говорећи: Не пророкујте.
13 Behold, I am pressing you under, As the full cart presses a sheaf for itself.
Ево, ја ћу вас притиснути на месту вашем као што се притискају кола пуна снопља.
14 And refuge has perished from the swift, And the strong does not strengthens his power, And the mighty does not deliver his soul.
И неће бити бега брзоме, и јаки неће утврдити крепости своје, и храбри неће спасти душу своје.
15 And the handler of the bow does not stand, And the swift does not deliver [himself] with his feet, And the rider of the horse does not deliver his soul.
И стрелац неће се одржати, и лаки на ногу неће се избавити, нити ће коњаник спасти душе своје.
16 And the courageous of heart among the mighty, Flees naked in that day,” A declaration of YHWH!
Него ће најхрабрији међу јунацима го побећи у онај дан, говори Господ.
