1 Samuel 23
1 And they declare to David, saying, “Behold, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah, and they are spoiling the threshing-floors.”
१तेव्हा कोणी दावीदाला सांगितले की, पाहा पलिष्टी कईल्याशी लढतात व खळी लुटत आहेत.
2 And David inquires of YHWH, saying, “Do I go? And have I struck among these Philistines?” And YHWH says to David, “Go, and you have struck among the Philistines, and saved Keilah.”
२म्हणून दावीदाने परमेश्वरास विचारले, तो म्हणाला, “मी जाऊन त्या पलिष्ट्यांना मारून कईल्याचे रक्षण करू काय?” मग परमेश्वर दावीदाला म्हणाला, जा पलिष्टयांना मारून कईल्याचे रक्षण कर.
3 And David’s men say to him, “Behold, we here in Judah are afraid; and how much more when we go to Keilah, to the ranks of the Philistines?”
३तेव्हा दावीदाच्या मनुष्यांनी म्हटले, “पाहा आम्हास येथे यहूदात भय आहे; मग आम्ही कईल्यांकडे पलिष्टांच्या सैन्यावर चालून गेलो तर ते कितीतरी अधिक धोकादायक होईल!”
4 And David adds again to inquire of YHWH, and YHWH answers him and says, “Rise, go down to Keilah, for I am giving the Philistines into your hand.”
४मग दावीदाने आणखी परमेश्वरास विचारले, आणि परमेश्वराने उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “उठून खाली कईल्याकडे जा, कारण मी पलिष्ट्यांस तुझ्या हाती देईन.”
5 And David goes, and his men, to Keilah, and fights with the Philistines, and leads away their livestock, and strikes among them [with] a great striking, and David saves the inhabitants of Keilah.
५मग दावीद व त्याची माणसे कईला येथे जाऊन पलिष्ट्यांशी लढली आणि त्यांनी त्यांची गुरेढोरे नेली व त्यांचा मोठा वध केला; असे दावीदाने कईलकरास तारले.
6 And it comes to pass, in the fleeing of Abiathar son of Ahimelech to David, to Keilah, an ephod came down in his hand.
६त्यानंतर असे झाले की, अहीमलेखाचा मुलगा अब्याथार दावीदाकडे कईला येथे पळून गेला तेव्हा त्याने आपल्या हाती एफोद आणले.
7 And it is declared to Saul that David has come to Keilah, and Saul says, “God has made him known for my hand, for he has been shut in, to enter into a city of doors and bar.”
७दावीद कईल्याला गेला असे कोणी सांगितले; “तेव्हा शौल म्हणाला, परमेश्वराने तुला माझ्या हाती दिले आहे. कारण वेशीच्या व अडसराच्या नगरात शिरून तो कोंडला गेला आहेस.”
8 And Saul summons all the people to the battle, to go down to Keilah, to lay siege to David and to his men.
८मग कईल्याकडे उतरावे आणि दावीदाला व त्याच्या मनुष्यांना वेढा घालावा म्हणून शौलाने सर्व लोकांस लढाईला बोलावले.
9 And David knows that Saul is devising the evil against him and says to Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod near.”
९आपल्याबद्दल शौल वाईट योजीत आहे, हे दावीदाला कळले म्हणून तो अब्याथार याजकाला म्हणाला, “एफोद इकडे आण.”
10 And David says, “YHWH, God of Israel, Your servant has certainly heard that Saul is seeking to come to Keilah, to destroy the city on my account.
१०मग दावीद म्हणाला, “हे परमेश्वरा इस्राएलाच्या देवा शौल माझ्यामुळे नगराचा नाश करायला कईल्यावर येऊ पाहत आहे असे तुझ्या सेवकाने खचित ऐकले आहे;
11 Do the possessors of Keilah shut me up into his hand? Does Saul come down as Your servant has heard? YHWH, God of Israel, please declare [it] to Your servant.” And YHWH says, “He comes down.”
११तर कईलकर मला शौलाच्या हाती देतील काय? तुझ्या सेवकाने ऐकल्याप्रमाणे शौल खाली येईल काय? हे परमेश्वरा इस्राएलाच्या देवा मी तुला विंनती करतो, हे तू आपल्या सेवकाला सांग.” परमेश्वर बोलला, “तो खाली येईल.”
12 And David says, “Do the possessors of Keilah shut up me and my men into the hand of Saul?” And YHWH says, “They shut [you] up.”
१२मग दावीद म्हणाला कईलकर मला व माझ्या मनुष्यांना शौलाच्या हाती देतील काय? परमेश्वर बोलला, ते तुला त्याच्या हाती देतील.
13 And David rises—and his men—about six hundred men, and they go out from Keilah, and go up and down where they go up and down; and it has been declared to Saul that David has escaped from Keilah, and he ceases to go out.
१३मग दावीद व त्याची माणसे उठून कईल्यांतून निघून गेली; ती सुमारे सहाशे माणसे होती. त्यांना जेथे जायला मिळाले तेथे ती गेली; तेव्हा दावीद कईल्यातून पळाला असे शौलाला कोणी सांगितले आणि त्याने तिकडे जायचे सोडले.
14 And David abides in the wilderness, in fortresses, and abides in the hill-country, in the wilderness of Ziph; and Saul seeks him [for] all the days, and God has not given him into his hand.
१४आणि दावीद रानातील गडामध्ये राहू लागला. तो जीफ रानात डोंगराळ प्रदेशात राहू लागला. शौल नित्य त्याचा शोध करीत गेला, परंतु परमेश्वराने त्यास त्याच्या हाती दिले नाही.
15 And David sees that Saul has come out to seek his life, and David [is] in the wilderness of Ziph, in a forest.
१५आपला जीव घ्यायला शौल निघाला आहे असे दावीदाने पाहिले आणि दावीद जीफ रानातील एका झाडीत होता;
16 And Jonathan son of Saul rises, and goes to David [in the] forest, and strengthens his hand in God,
१६शौलाचा मुलगा योनाथान उठून झाडीत दावीदाकडे गेला आणि त्याने त्याचा हात परमेश्वराच्याठायी सबळ केला.
17 and says to him, “Do not fear, for the hand of my father Saul does not find you, and you reign over Israel, and I am to you for second, and also so knows my father Saul.”
१७तो त्यास म्हणाला, “भिऊ नको कारण माझा बाप शौल याच्या हाती तू लागणार नाहीस. तू तर इस्राएलावर राजा होशील आणि तुझ्याजवळ मीच पहिला तुझा सहाय्यक होईन हे माझा बाप शौलही जाणतो.”
18 And both of them make a covenant before YHWH; and David abides in the forest, and Jonathan has gone to his house.
१८तेव्हा त्या दोघांनी परमेश्वराच्यासमोर करार केला. मग दावीद झाडीत राहिला व योनाथान आपल्या घरी गेला.
19 And the Ziphites go up to Saul at Gibeah, saying, “Is David not hiding himself with us in fortresses, in the forest, in the height of Hachilah, which [is] on the south of the desolate place?
१९जीफी लोक शौलाकडे गिबा येथे येऊन म्हणाले, “यशीमोनाच्या दक्षिणेकडे हकीला डोंगरातील झाडीत गडामध्ये दावीद आम्हाजवळ लपून राहिला आहे की नाही?
20 And now, by all the desire of your soul, O king, to come down, come down, and ours [is] to shut him up into the hand of the king.”
२०तर आता हे राजा, खाली येण्याच्या आपल्या सर्व मनोरथप्रमाणे खाली ये, म्हणजे त्यास राजाच्या हाती देणे हे आमचे काम असेल.”
21 And Saul says, “Blessed [are] you of YHWH, for you have pity on me;
२१तेव्हा शौल म्हणाला, “तुम्हास परमेश्वरापासून आशीर्वाद मिळेल कारण तुम्ही माझ्यावर दया केली आहे.
22 now go prepare yet, and know and see his place where his foot is; who has seen him there? For [one] has said to me, He is very cunning.
२२मी तुम्हास विनंती करतो तुम्ही जा आणखी मन लावून त्याचा माग काढा आणि तेथे त्यास कोणी पाहिले याची माहिती काढून पाहा कारण तो फार चतुराईने वागतो असे मला कळाले आहे.
23 And see and know of all the hiding places where he hides himself, and you have turned back prepared to me, and I have gone with you, and it has been, if he is in the land, that I have searched him out through all the thousands of Judah.”
२३तर जेथे तो लपून राहतो त्या सर्व लपण्याच्या जागा पाहून त्यांची खात्री करून घ्या, मग खरे वर्तमान घेऊन माझ्याकडे परत या; त्यानंतर मी तुम्हाबरोबर जाईन आणि असे होईल की, तो त्या मुलुखात असला तर मी त्यास यहूदाच्या सर्व हजारांतून त्यास हुडकून काढीन.”
24 And they rise and go to Ziph before Saul, and David and his men [are] in the wilderness of Maon, in the plain, at the south of the desolate place.
२४मग ते उठले आणि शौलापुढे जीफाकडे गेले; परंतु दावीद व त्याची माणसे यशीमोनाच्या दक्षिणेकडे मावोनाच्या रानात अराबात होती.
25 And Saul and his men go to seek, and they declare [it] to David, and he goes down the rock, and abides in the wilderness of Maon; and Saul hears, and pursues after David [to] the wilderness of Maon.
२५शौल व त्याची माणसे त्याचा शोध करायला आली. हे कोणी दावीदाला सांगितले, म्हणून तो खडकावरून उतरून मावोनाच्या रानात राहिला हे ऐकून शौल मावोनाच्या रानात दावीदाच्या मागे लागला.
26 And Saul goes on this side of the mountain, and David and his men on that side of the mountain, and David is hurried to go from the face of Saul, and Saul and his men are surrounding David and his men, to catch them.
२६शौल डोंगराच्या एका बाजूने चालला आणि दावीद व त्याची माणसे डोंगराच्या दुसऱ्या बाजूने चालली आणि दावीदाने शौलापासून पळायला घाई केली कारण शौल व त्याची माणसे, दावीदाला आणि त्याच्या मनुष्यांना धरायला घेरीत होती.
27 And a messenger has come to Saul, saying, “Hurry, and come, for the Philistines have pushed against the land.”
२७परंतु एक निरोप्या शौलाकडे येऊन म्हणाला, लवकर ये कारण पलिष्ट्यांनी देशावर घाला घातला आहे.
28 And Saul turns back from pursuing after David, and goes to meet the Philistines, therefore they have called that place “The Rock of Divisions.”
२८तेव्हा शौल दावीदाचा पाठलाग सोडून पलिष्ट्यांवर चाल करून गेला. याकरिता त्या जागेचे नाव सेला हम्मालकोथ म्हणजे निसटून जाण्याचा खडक असे पडले.
29 And David goes up there, and abides in fortresses [at] En-gedi.
२९मग दावीद तेथून वर जाऊन एन-गेदीच्या गडामध्ये राहिला.
