< Psalms 9 >
1 “To the chief musician upon Muthlabben, a psalm of David.” I will thank the Lord with all my heart: I will relate all thy marvelous deeds.
Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Wɔto no sɛdeɛ wɔto “Ɔba no wuo”. Dawid dwom. Ao Awurade, mefiri mʼakoma nyinaa mu mekamfo wo. Mɛka wʼanwanwadeɛ no nyinaa.
2 I will rejoice and exult in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High:
Mɛma mʼani agye na madi ahurisie wɔ wo mu. Mɛto ayɛyie dwom ama wo din, Ao Ɔsorosoroni.
3 When my enemies are turned backward, [when] they fall and perish at thy presence.
Mʼatamfoɔ sane wɔn akyi; wɔtete hwe, na wɔwuwu wɔ wʼanim.
4 For thou hast conducted my dispute and my cause; thou hast sat on the throne as a righteous judge.
Woadi mʼasɛm ama me, na mɛnya mʼahofadie; woatena wʼahennwa so, abu atɛntenenee.
5 Thou hast rebuked nations, thou hast caused the wicked to perish, their name hast thou blotted out for ever and ever.
Woatwe amanaman no aso, na woasɛe amumuyɛfoɔ. Woapepa wɔn din a wɔrenkae wɔn bio.
6 O thou enemy, the ruins are passed away for ever, and the cities which thou hast destroyed, —lost is their memorial, yea, theirs.
Ɔsɛeɛ a ɛnni awieeɛ ato ɔtamfoɔ no, woatutu wɔn nkuropɔn; na wɔnnkae wɔn bio mpo.
7 But the Lord will sit enthroned for ever: he hath established for giving judgment his throne.
Awurade di ɔhene daa daa; wasi nʼatemmuo ahennwa.
8 And he will judge the world with righteousness, he shall decide for the people, with equity.
Ɔde tenenee bɛbu ewiase atɛn; ɔde atɛntenenee bɛdi nnipa no so.
9 The Lord also will be a strong-hold for the oppressed, a strong-hold in times of distress.
Awurade yɛ dwanekɔbea ma wɔn a wɔhyɛ wɔn so, ɔyɛ abandenden wɔ ahohia mmrɛ mu.
10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; for thou hast not forsaken those that seek thee, O Lord.
Wɔn a wɔnim wo din no de wɔn ho bɛto wo so, ɛfiri sɛ, wo Awurade, wonnyaa obiara a ɔhwehwɛ wo no mu da.
11 Sing praises to the Lord, who dwelleth in Zion: announce among the people his deeds.
Monto ayɛyie dwom mma Awurade a ɔte ahennwa so wɔ Sion; mompae mu nka deɛ wayɛ wɔ amanaman no mu.
12 For he, that inquireth after acts of blood, hath remembered them: he hath not forgotten the cry of the afflicted.
Na ɔkae deɛ ɔtɔ mogya so were no; ɔmmu nʼani ngu ɔbrɛfoɔ sufrɛ so.
13 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; have regard to my affliction [coming] from those that hate me, thou who liftest me up from the gates of death:
Ao Awurade, hwɛ sɛdeɛ mʼatamfoɔ teetee me! Hu me mmɔbɔ na yi me firi owuo apono ano,
14 In order that I may relate all thy praises in the gates of the daughters of Zion: I will be glad in thy salvation.
na matumi apae mu aka wʼayɛyie wɔ Ɔbabaa Sion apono ano na ɛhɔ, madi ahurisie wɔ wo nkwagyeɛ no mu.
15 Sunk are nations in the ditch that they have prepared: in this net which they had laid in secret is their own foot caught.
Aman amanmufoɔ atɔ amena a wɔatu no mu; afidie a wɔsum hintaaeɛ no ayi wɔn nan.
16 The Lord is made known: he executed justice: through the doing of his own hands is the wicked ensnared. Higgayon, (Selah)
Awurade atɛntenenee da no adi; amumuyɛfoɔ nsa ano adwuma ayi wɔn.
17 The wicked shall return into hell, all the nations that are forgetful of God. (Sheol )
Amumuyɛfoɔ sane kɔ damena mu, amanaman a wɔn werɛ firi Onyankopɔn nyinaa. (Sheol )
18 For not everlastingly shall the needy be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
Nanso ɛnyɛ daa na ne werɛ bɛfiri ohiani, anaa sɛ mmɔborɔni anidasoɔ bɛyera korakora.
19 Arise, O Lord; let not the mortal boast of his strength; let nations be judged before thy face.
Sɔre! Ao Awurade, mma ɔdasani nni nkonim, bu amanaman no atɛn wɔ wʼanim.
20 Place, O Lord, fear over them: let nations know, that they are but mortals. (Selah)
Hunahuna wɔn, Ao Awurade; na ma wɔnhunu sɛ, wɔyɛ adasamma.
