1 “To the chief musician on Neginoth, a psalm or song.” May God be gracious unto us, and bless us; may he cause his face to shine upon us. (Selah)
[For the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm. A song.] May God be merciful to us, bless us, and cause his face to shine on us. (Selah)
2 That upon earth men may know thy way, among all nations thy salvation.
That your way may be known on earth, and your salvation among all nations,
3 The people will thank thee, O God; the people, all of them together, will thank thee.
let the peoples praise you, God. Let all the peoples praise you.
4 Nations will rejoice and sing for joy: when thou judgest the people righteously, and guidest the nations upon earth. (Selah)
Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you will judge the world in righteousness. You will judge the peoples with equity, and guide the nations on earth.
5 The people will thank thee, O God; the people, all of them together, will thank thee.
Let the peoples praise you, God. Let all the peoples praise you.
6 The earth yieldeth her products: [yea, ] God, our own God, bless us.
The land has yielded its produce. May God, our God, bless us.
7 God will bless us: and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
May God bless us. Every part of the earth shall fear him.
