< Psalms 36 >
1 “To the chief musician, by the servant of the Lord, by David.” Saith vice itself to the wicked—so I feel it within my heart— that he should have no dread of God before his eyes.
Aka mawt ham BOEIPA sal David kah Halang kah boekoek te ka thinko lungbuei khui kah olphong ah tah, a mik hmuh ah Pathen birhihnah khueh pawh.
2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes [too much] to find out his iniquity to hate it.
A mik neh amah kathaesainah hmuh ham, ka thiinah tila amah te hoem.
3 The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, to do good.
A ka dongkah ol tah boethae neh thailatnah la coeng tih, a then te cangbam hamla a toeng.
4 He deviseth wickedness upon his couch; he placeth himself on a way that is not good; evil he despiseth not.
A thingkong dongah boethae te a moeh. Long then pawt ah pai tih a thae te hnawt pawh.
5 O Lord, into the heavens reacheth thy kindness, thy faithfulness even into the skies.
Aw BOEIPA na sitlohnah loh vaan duela a pha. Na uepomnah loh khomong a pha.
6 Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy acts of justice like the great deep: man and beast dost thou ever help, O Lord.
Na duengnah tah Pathen tlang bangla om tih na laitloeknah te dung tangkik. Hlang neh rhamsa he BOEIPA nang loh na khang.
7 How precious is thy kindness, O God! And the children of men that seek shelter under the shadow of thy wings, —
Pathen namah kah sitlohnah he bahoeng a phu om tih hlang capa rhoek loh na phae hlip ah ying uh.
8 These will be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and of the stream of thy delights wilt thou give them to drink.
Na im kah maehhloi dongah hmilhmal uh tih namah kah omthennah soklong tui te amih na tul.
9 For with thee is the source of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Namah taengah hingnah thunsih om tih, namah kah vangnah dongah vangnah ka hmuh uh.
10 Draw down continuously thy kindness unto those that acknowledge thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
Nang aka ming rhoek taengah na sitlohnah hing sak lamtah lungbuei aka thuem taengah na duengnah om sak.
11 Let not come against me the foot of pride, and let not the hand of the wicked chase me off.
Hoemnah kho loh kai m'pha boel saeh lamtah halang kut te kai taengah vikvawk boel saeh.
12 There are fallen the workers of wickedness: they are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
