Psalms 138

1 “By David.” I will praise thee with my whole heart: before [thee], O God, will I sing praise unto thee.

Давидів.

2 I will bow myself down before thy holy temple, and I will thank thy name for thy kindness and for thy truth; for thou hast magnified above all thy name thy promise.

Вклоняюсь до храму святого Твого, і сла́влю Іме́ння Твоє за Твоє милосердя й за правду Твою, бо звели́чив Ти був над усе Своє Йме́ння та слово Своє!

3 On the day when I called didst thou answer me, and raise me up with strength in my soul.

Удень, як взива́ю, почуєш мене, підбадьо́рюєш силою душу мою!

4 All the kings of the earth will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, when they hear the promises of thy mouth.

Усі зе́мні царі прославля́ть Тебе, Господи, бу́дуть, бо почують вони слово уст Твоїх,

5 And they will sing on the ways of the Lord; for great is the glory of the Lord.

і бу́дуть співати про Господні доро́ги, бо слава Господня велика,

6 For exalted is the Lord, yet doth he regard the lowly; but the proud he punisheth from afar.

бо високий Госпо́дь, — але бачить низько́го, а гордого Він пізнає́ іздале́ка!

7 If I should walk in the midst of distress, thou wilt revive me: against the wrath of my enemies wilt thou stretch forth thy hand, and thy right hand will save me.

Якщо серед тісно́ти піду́, — Ти ожи́виш мене, на лютість моїх ворогів пошлеш руку Свою, і прави́ця Твоя допоможе мені, —

8 The Lord will accomplish [all] in my behalf; O Lord, thy kindness endureth for ever: the works of thy own hands do not abandon.

для мене Господь оце виконає! Твоя милість, о Господи, вічна, — чи́нів Своєї руки не полиш!
