Job 42
1 Then answered Job unto the Lord, and said,
അതിന്നു ഇയ്യോബ് യഹോവയോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു:
2 I acknowledge that thou art able to do every thing, and that no deep plan of thine can be restrained.
നിനക്കു സകലവും കഴിയുമെന്നും നിന്റെ ഉദ്ദേശമൊന്നും അസാദ്ധ്യമല്ലെന്നും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.
3 Who is he that dareth to conceal [thy] counsel without knowledge? Truly I have spoken of what I understood not, of things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
അറിവുകൂടാതെ ആലോചനയെ മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നോരിവനാർ? അങ്ങനെ എനിക്കറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാതവണ്ണം അത്ഭുതമേറിയതു ഞാൻ തിരിച്ചറിയാതെ പറഞ്ഞുപോയി.
4 Oh do but hear [me], and I will indeed speak: I will ask of thee, and do thou inform me.
കേൾക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ സംസാരിക്കും; ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കും; എന്നെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കേണമേ.
5 I had only heard of thee by the hearing of the ear; but now my eye hath seen thee.
ഞാൻ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരു കേൾവി മാത്രമേ കേട്ടിരുന്നുള്ളു; ഇപ്പോഴോ, എന്റെ കണ്ണാൽ നിന്നെ കാണുന്നു.
6 Therefore I reject [what I have said], and repent; because I am dust and ashes.
ആകയാൽ ഞാൻ എന്നെത്തന്നേ വെറുത്തു പൊടിയിലും ചാരത്തിലും കിടന്നു അനുതപിക്കുന്നു.
7 And it came to pass, after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Themanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends; because ye have not spoken of me properly, like my servant Job.
യഹോവ ഈ വചനങ്ങളെ ഇയ്യോബിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തശേഷം യഹോവ തേമാന്യനായ എലീഫസിനോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു: നിന്നോടും നിന്റെ രണ്ടു സ്നേഹിതന്മാരോടും എനിക്കു കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബിനെപ്പോലെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു വിഹിതമായതു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.
8 And now take unto yourselves seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up a burnt-offering in your behalf; and my servant Job shall pray for you; for him alone will I receive favorably, so as not to deal with you after your folly; because ye have not spoken of me properly, like my servant Job.
ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഏഴു കാളയെയും ഏഴു ആട്ടുകൊറ്റനെയും എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി ഹോമയാഗം കഴിപ്പിൻ; എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബ് നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കും; ഞാൻ അവന്റെ മുഖം ആദരിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ മൂഢതെക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കും; എന്റെ ദാസനായ ഇയ്യോബിനെപ്പോലെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു വിഹിതമായതു സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ.
9 Then went Eliphaz the Themanite and Bildad the Shuchite and Zophar the Na'amathite, and did in accordance with what the Lord had spoken to them: and the Lord received Job in favor.
അങ്ങനെ തേമാന്യനായ എലീഫസും ശൂഹ്യനായ ബിൽദാദും നയമാത്യനായ സോഫരും ചെന്നു യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു; യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ മുഖത്തെ ആദരിച്ചു.
10 And the Lord brought back the captivity of Job, when he prayed in behalf of his friends; and the Lord increased all that Job had had twofold.
ഇയ്യോബ് തന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാർക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചപ്പോൾ യഹോവ അവന്റെ സ്ഥിതിക്കു ഭേദം വരുത്തി മുമ്പെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതൊക്കെയും യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിന്നു ഇരട്ടിയായി കൊടുത്തു.
11 And then came unto him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all that had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house; and they condoled with him, and comforted him for all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him; and they gave him, every one, a kessitah, and every one an earring of gold.
അവന്റെ സകലസഹോദരന്മാരും സഹോദരിമാരും മുമ്പെ അവന്നു പരിചയമുള്ളവരൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ അവനോടുകൂടെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചു; യഹോവ അവന്റെമേൽ വരുത്തിയിരുന്ന സകലഅനർത്ഥത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു അവർ അവനോടു സഹതാപം കാണിച്ചു അവനെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ചു; ഓരോരുത്തനും അവന്നു ഓരോ പൊൻനാണ്യവും ഓരോ പൊൻമോതിരവും കൊടുത്തു.
12 And the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: and he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
ഇങ്ങനെ യഹോവ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ പിൻകാലത്തെ അവന്റെ മുൻകാലത്തെക്കാൾ അധികം അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു; അവന്നു പതിന്നാലായിരം ആടും ആറായിരം ഒട്ടകവും ആയിരം ഏർ കാളയും ആയിരം പെൺകഴുതയും ഉണ്ടായി.
13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
അവന്നു ഏഴു പുത്രന്മാരും മൂന്നു പുത്രിമാരും ഉണ്ടായി.
14 And he called the name of the first Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.
മൂത്തവൾക്കു അവൻ യെമീമാ എന്നും രണ്ടാമത്തെവൾക്കു കെസീയാ എന്നും മൂന്നാമത്തവൾക്കു കേരെൻ-ഹപ്പൂക്ക് എന്നും പേർ വിളിച്ചു.
15 And there were not found such handsome women as the daughters of Job in all the land; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.
ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെപ്പോലെ സൗന്ദര്യമുള്ള സ്ത്രീകൾ ദേശത്തെങ്ങും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; അവരുടെ അപ്പൻ അവരുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അവർക്കു അവകാശം കൊടുത്തു.
16 And Job lived after this one hundred and forty years: and he saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.
അതിന്റെശേഷം ഇയ്യോബ് നൂറ്റിനാല്പതു സംവത്സരം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; അവൻ മക്കളെയും മക്കളുടെ മക്കളെയും നാലു തലമുറയോളം കണ്ടു.
17 Then died Job, being old and full of days.
അങ്ങനെ ഇയ്യോബ് വൃദ്ധനും കാലസമ്പൂർണ്ണനുമായി മരിച്ചു.
