< Job 37 >
1 At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved upward out of its place.
He dongah ka lungbuei lakueng tih a hmuen lamloh cungpet.
2 Hear, O hear, the rattling of his thunder, and the storm's roar that goeth out of his mouth.
A ol dongkah khoponah te hnatun hnatun. A ka lamloh caitawknah thoeng.
3 Under the whole heavens he letteth it loose, and his lightning over the ends of the earth.
Vaan boeih hmuiah a hlah tih a vangnah loh diklai hmoi duela pawk.
4 Behind it roareth the thunder; he thundereth with his majestic voice; and he holdeth them not back when his voice is heard.
A hnukkah a kawk ol khaw a hoemdamnah ol neh hum tih a ol a yaak vaengah rhaek uelh sak boeh.
5 God thundereth with his marvelous voice: he doth great things, which we cannot comprehend.
Pathen loh a ol neh khobaerhambae a saii khungdaeng tih hum dae m'ming uh moenih.
6 For to the snow he saith, Be thou on the earth: likewise the pouring rain, and to the pouring rains of his strength.
Vuelsong neh khotlan khonal te, 'Diklai ah om saeh,’ a ti vaengah khotlan khonal khaw a sarhi tak.
7 He sealeth it on the hand of every man, that all men whom he hath made may know it.
Amah kutngo hlang boeih ming sak ham hlang boeih kah kut te rhodaek a soei pah.
8 Then retire the beasts into [their] dens, and rest in their lairs.
Te vaengah mulhing khaw a khui la kun tih a khuisaek ah kho a sak.
9 Out of [his] chamber cometh the whirlwind, and out of the north, the cold.
Cangpalam te imkhui lamloh, khosik te tlangpuei lamloh ha thoeng.
10 From the breathing of God ice is given, and the broad waters become solid.
Pathen kah hiil lamloh rhaelnu khaw a khueh tih tui daang mangdaeng mangtok la om.
11 Also with moisture he loadeth the cloud; [and] he scattereth the cloud of his lightning;
Khomai te cingtui loh a rhih sak tih cingmai loh amah kah vangnah te a taekyak.
12 And it is turned round about by his guidance, to execute what he commandeth it upon the face of the world, the earth.
Te khaw diklai kah lunglai hman ah a uen boeih te saii hamla a niing, a niing dongah kuluk la a hil.
13 Whether it be as a chastising rod—if this be destined for his earth—or for kindness, doth he cause it to come.
Te te caitueng lam khaw, a khohmuen ham khaw, sitlohnah ham khaw a thoeng sak.
14 Give ear unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider well the wonders of God.
Job, he he hnakaeng lah. Pai lamtah Pathen kah khobaerhambae he yakming lah.
15 Dost thou know how God hath imposed [a law] on them, and [how] he hath caused the light of his cloud to shine?
Te rhoek soah Pathen loh a khueh tih a cingmai kah vangnah a sae te na ming a?
16 Dost thou know aught about the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?
Poeknah rhuemtuet, mangvawt khomai a haainah te na ming a?
17 [Thou] who clothest thyself with warm garments, when He giveth the earth rest from the south wind?
Tuithim loh khohmuen a mong sak vaengah na himbai te aka bae sak,
18 Hast thou with him spread out the skies, which are strong even as a molten mirror?
Hmaidan a hlawn bangla khomong a thah la amah taengah na nulh thai aya?
19 Let us know what we shall say unto him: we cannot set aught in order [before him] because of darkness.
Amah taengah metla n'thui ham khaw kaimih tueng lah. Hmaisuep hmai ah n'tawn uh thai pawt oe.
20 Can [all] be related of him, when I speak [ever so much]? or if a man talk [of him] even till he be swallowed up [in death]?
Hlang loh a dolh hamla thui cakhaw ka thui bangla amah taengah a tae pa aya?
21 Yet now men see not the light which is bright in the skies, when the wind hath passed along, and purified them.
Tahae ah khaw vangnah a hmuh uh moenih. A aa te khohli loh a yawn tih a caihcil hnukkah khomong dongah tueng.
22 The golden [light] that cometh out of the north: around God is terrible majesty.
Tlangpuei lamkah sui te mueithennah rhih om Pathen taengla pawk.
23 The Almighty, whom we cannot find out, excellent in power, and in justice, and abounding in righteousness, will not afflict:
Tlungthang te thadueng a len dongah a tiktamnah m'hmuh lek moenih. Duengnah khaw a cungkuem dongah hlang a phaep moenih.
24 Therefore do men fear him; he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
Hlang rhoek loh amah te a rhih uh tangloeng dongah lungbuei aka cueih rhoek takuem khaw a sawt moenih,” a ti.
