Ezekiel 6

1 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

A palavra de Javé veio a mim, dizendo:

2 Son of man, set thy face against the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,

“Filho do homem, dirige teu rosto para as montanhas de Israel, e profetiza para elas,

3 And thou shalt say, O mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of the Lord Eternal! Thus hath said the Lord Eternal to the mountains, and to the hills, to the brooks, and to the valleys, Behold, I, even I, will bring over you the sword, and I will destroy your high-places.

e diz: 'Vós, montanhas de Israel, escutai a palavra do Senhor Javé! O Senhor Javé diz às montanhas e às colinas, aos cursos de água e aos vales: “Eis que eu, eu mesmo, trarei uma espada sobre vós e destruirei vossos lugares altos”.

4 And your altars shall be made desolate, and your sun-images shall be broken: and I will cause your slain ones to fall before your idols.

Seus altares se tornarão desolados, e seus altares de incenso serão quebrados”. Eu derrubarei seus homens mortos diante de seus ídolos”.

5 And I will lay the carcasses of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

Depositarei os cadáveres dos filhos de Israel diante de seus ídolos. Espalharei seus ossos ao redor de seus altares.

6 In all your dwelling-places the cities shall be laid in ruins, and the high-places shall be made desolate; in order that your altars may be laid in ruins and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and annihilated, and your sun-images may be cut down, and your works may be blotted out.

Em todos os seus lugares de moradia, as cidades serão assoladas e os lugares altos serão desolados, para que seus altares sejam assolados e desolados, e seus ídolos sejam quebrados e cessem, e seus altares de incenso sejam cortados, e suas obras sejam abolidas.

7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Os mortos cairão entre vocês e vocês saberão que eu sou Yahweh.

8 Yet will I leave [some]; that ye shall have some that escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered in the [various] countries.

“““No entanto, deixarei um remanescente, na medida em que você terá alguns que escapam da espada entre as nações, quando você estiver espalhado pelos países.

9 And those of you that escape shall remember me among the nations among whom they shall have been carried captive, when I shall have broken their licentious heart, which had departed from me, even with their eyes, which were gone astray after their idols: and they shall loathe themselves on account of the evil deeds which they have committed with all their abominations.

Aqueles de vocês que escaparem se lembrarão de mim entre as nações onde são levados cativos, como fui quebrado com seu coração lascivo, que se afastou de mim, e com seus olhos, que se fazem de prostituta depois de seus ídolos”. Então eles se abominarão aos seus próprios olhos pelos males que cometeram em todas as suas abominações.

10 And they shall know that I am the Lord: not for naught have I spoken that I would do unto them this evil.

Eles saberão que eu sou Yahweh. Eu não disse em vão que lhes faria este mal”.

11 Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Strike thy hands together, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the dreadful abominations of the house of Israel! who will have to fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

“O Senhor Javé diz: 'Golpeia com tua mão, e carimba com teu pé, e diz: “Ai de mim!”, por causa de todas as abominações malignas da casa de Israel; pois elas cairão pela espada, pela fome, e pela peste.

12 He that is afar off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I let out all my fury on them.

Aquele que está longe morrerá da peste. Aquele que está próximo cairá pela espada. Aquele que ficar e for sitiado morrerá pela fome. Assim, eu cumprirei minha ira sobre eles.

13 And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when their slain ones shall lie in the midst of their idols round about their altars, on every high hill, upon all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick-branched oak, —places where they presented sweet savor to all their idols.

Você saberá que eu sou Yahweh quando seus homens mortos estiverem entre seus ídolos ao redor de seus altares, em cada colina alta, em todos os cumes das montanhas, debaixo de cada árvore verde e debaixo de cada carvalho grosso - os lugares onde eles ofereciam aroma agradável a todos os seus ídolos.

14 And I will stretch out my hand over them, and I will render the land desolate and waste, more than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Estenderei minha mão sobre eles e tornarei a terra desolada e desperdiçada, desde o deserto até Dibla, em todas as suas habitações. Então eles saberão que eu sou Yahweh”.
