Ezekiel 14
1 Then came there unto me certain men of the elders of Israel, and sat down before me.
Och till mig komma någre af de äldsta i Israel, och satte sig när mig.
2 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Då skedde Herrans ord till mig, och sade:
3 Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and the stumbling-block of their iniquity have they placed before their faces: shall I in any wise let myself be inquired of by them?
Du menniskobarn, desse männerna hänga med sitt hjerta intill sina afgudar, och hålla fast uppå sins horeris förargelse; skulle jag då svara dem, när de fråga mig?
4 Therefore speak with them and say unto them, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Whatever man it be of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and layeth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet: I the Lord will answer him, although he cometh with the multitude of his idols;
Derföre tala med dem, och säg till dem: Detta säger Herren Herren: Hvilken menniska af Israels hus hänger med sitt hjerta intill sina afgudar, och håller fast uppå sins afguderis förargelse, och kommer till Propheten, så vill jag, Herren, svara honom, såsom han förtjent hafver med sitt stora afguderi;
5 In order that I may grasp the house of Israel by their heart, those who are separated from me through all their idols.
På det Israels hus skall bedraget varda i sitt hjerta, derföre att de ifrå mig trädt hafva, genom mångahanda, afguderi.
6 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Return, and cause [your heart] to turn away from your idols: and from all your abominations turn away your faces.
Derföre skall du säga till Israels hus: Detta säger Herren Herren: Vänder eder om, och träder ifrån edart afguderi, och vänder edor ansigte ifrån all edor styggelse.
7 For whatever man it be of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, that separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and layeth the stumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and then cometh to the prophet to inquire through him of me: I the Lord will answer him through my word;
Ty hvilken menniska af Israels hus, eller någor främling, som i Israel bor, viker ifrå mig, och med sitt hjerta hänger till sina afgudar, och fast håller uppå sins afguderis förargelse, och kommer till Propheten, på det han skall fråga mig genom honom; honom vill jag, Herren, sjelfver svara;
8 And I will set my face against that man, and will make him an astonishment for a sign and for proverbs, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
Och skall sätta mitt ansigte emot honom, och göra honom till ett tecken och ordspråk, och skall rycka honom utu mitt folk, att I förnimma skolen, att jag är Herren.
9 And when the prophet suffereth himself to be deceived, and he speaketh a word: I the Lord have suffered that prophet to be deceived: and I will stretch out my hand against him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
Men om en förförder Prophet något predikar, honom vill ock jag, Herren, låta förförd varda, och skall uträcka mina hand öfver honom, och utrota honom utu mitt folk Israel.
10 And they shall bear their guilt: as the guilt of the inquirer is, so shall the guilt of the prophet be;
Alltså skola de både umgälla sina missgerning; lika som frågarens missgerning, så skall ock Prophetens missgerning vara;
11 In order that the house of Israel may go no more astray by not following me, and not pollute themselves any more with all their transgressions; but that they may become unto me a people, and I may be unto them a God, saith the Lord Eternal.
På det de icke mer skola förföra Israels hus ifrå mig, och icke mer orena sig uti allehanda, sin öfverträdelse; utan skola vara mitt folk, och jag skall vara deras Gud, säger Herren Herren.
12 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Och Herrans ord skedde till mig, och sade:
13 Son of man, if a land should sin against me by trespassing grievously, and I stretch out my hand against it, and break unto it the staff of bread, and send out famine against it, and cut off from it man and beast;
Du menniskobarn, när landet syndar emot mig, och dertill försmädar mig, så skall jag räcka mina hand öfver det, och borttaga bröds uppehälle, och sända der hunger in, att jag skall förgöra der både folk och fä.
14 And if there be these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, in the midst of it: these through their righteousness should save but their own soul; saith the Lord Eternal.
Och om än de tre männerna Noah, Daniel, och Job, derinne voro, så skulle de allenast kunna fria sina egna själar, genom sina rättfärdighet, säger Herren Herren.
15 If I cause wild beasts to pass through the land, and they depopulate it, and it becometh desolate, without any one to pass through because of the beasts:
Och om jag läte komma ond djur in uti landet, hvilke folket bortjagade, och förödde det, så att der ingen kunde inne vandra för djurens skull;
16 These three men [if they were] in it, as I live, saith the Lord Eternal, should not save either sons or daughters: they only should be saved, but the land should be made desolate.
Och om desse tre männerna voro derinne; så, sant som jag lefver, säger Herren Herren, de skulle hvarken kunna fria söner eller döttrar, utan allena sig sjelfva, och landet måste öde varda.
17 Or, if I should bring a sword over that land, and say, The sword shall pass through the land, and I cut off from it man and beast;
Eller om jag läte komma svärd uppå landet, och sade: Svärd, far igenom landet; och vorde alltså både folk och fä förgjordt;
18 And if these three men should be in it: as I live, saith the Lord Eternal, they should not save either sons or daughters, but they alone should be saved.
Och om de tre män voro derinne; så sant som jag lefver, säger Herren Herren, de skulle hvarken kunna fria söner eller döttrar; utan de allena skulle friade varda.
19 Or, if I should send out the pestilence against that land, and pour out my fury over it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast;
Eller om jag sände pestilentie uti landet, och utgöte mina grymhet deröfver, och det blod kostade, så att jag förgjorde både folk och fä;
20 And if Noah, Daniel, and Job, should be in the midst of it: as I live, saith the Lord Eternal, they should not save either son or daughter; they through their righteousness should save their own soul.
Och om Noah, Daniel, och Job, voro derinne; så sant som jag lefver, säger Herren Herren, de skulle icke, igenom sina rättfärdighet, hvarken kunna undsätta söner eller döttrar, utan allena sina egna själar.
21 For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Although I send my four dreadful means of punishment over Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the wild beasts, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast:
Ty så säger Herren Herren: Om jag sände mina fyra onda plågor, som är svärd, hunger, ond djur och pestilentie, öfver Jerusalem, så att jag derinne förgjorde både folk och fä;
22 Still, behold, there are left therein some that escape who shall be carried forth, both sons and daughters; behold, they are coming forth unto you, and ye will see their way and their doings; and then will ye be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, yea, concerning all that I have brought upon it;
Si, så skola någre derinne igenlefvas och undslippa, hvilke söner och döttrar der utföra skola, och komma hit till eder, att I se skolen, huru dem går, och trösta eder öfver den olycko, som jag öfver Jerusalem hafver komma låtit, samt med allt annat, det jag öfver dem hafver komma låtit.
23 And they will comfort you, when ye see their way and their doings; and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have executed in it, saith the Lord Eternal.
De skola vara edor tröst, då I fån se huru dem går, och kunnen besinna, att jag icke utan sak gjort hafver, hvad jag derinne gjort hafver, säger Herren Herren.
