Esther 7
1 And the king came with Haman to drink with Esther the queen.
И тако дође цар и Аман на обед царици Јестири.
2 And the king said unto Esther also on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? even if it be equal to half the kingdom, it shall still be done.
И рече цар Јестири опет други дан напивши се вина: Шта желиш, царице Јестиро? Даће ти се. И шта молиш? Ако је и до половине царства, биће.
3 Then answered Esther the queen and said, If I have found grace in thy eyes, O king! and if it be pleasing unto the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request;
Тада одговори царица Јестира и рече: Ако сам нашла милост пред тобом, царе, и ако је цару угодно, нека ми се поклони живот мој на моју жељу и народ мој на моју молбу.
4 For we have been sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain and to be exterminated; and if we had been only sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I would have remained silent; for the adversary regardeth not the damage of the king.
Јер смо продани ја и мој народ да нас потру, побију и истребе. Да смо продани да будемо слуге и слушкиње, ћутала бих, премда непријатељ не би могао накнадити штете цару.
5 Then spoke king Achashverosh and said unto Esther the queen, Who is this, and where is he, whose heart hath emboldened him to do so?
А цар Асвир проговори и рече царици Јестири: Ко је тај? И где је тај који се усудио тако чинити?
6 And Esther said, An adversary, and inimical man, this wicked Haman. Then became Haman terrified before the king and the queen.
А Јестира рече: Противник и непријатељ овај је зликовац Аман. А Аман се уплаши од цара и од царице.
7 And the king arose in his fury from the banquet of wine, and went into the palace-garden: and Haman remained behind to make request for his life of Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil fully determined.
Тада цар гневан уста од вина и отиде у врт код двора, а Аман оста да моли за живот свој царицу Јестиру, јер виде да је цар наумио зло по њ.
8 And when the king returned out of the palace-garden into the apartment of the banquet of wine, Haman was fallen upon the couch whereon Esther was: then said the king. Will he even do violence to the queen before me in the house? The word had just come out of the king's mouth, when they covered Haman's face.
Потом се цар врати из врта дворског у кућу где беше пио вино; а Аман беше пао на одар где сеђаше Јестира. И цар рече: Еда ли ће и царицу осрамотити код мене у кући? Чим та реч изиђе из уста царевих, покрише лице Аману.
9 Then said Charbonah, one of the chamberlains, before the king, Behold, there is also the gallows, which Haman hath had made for Mordecai, who hath spoken well for the king, standing in the house of Haman, fifty cubits high. And the king said, Hang him thereon.
И Арвона, један од дворана царевих, рече: Ево и вешала што је начинио Аман за Мардохеја који је говорио добро по цара стоје код куће Аманове, висока педесет лаката. И рече цар: Обесите га на њих.
10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows which he had prepared for Mordecai, and the fury of the king was appeased.
И тако обесише Амана на вешала која беше приправио Мардохеју. И гнев царев утиша се.
