Psalms 29
1 A Psalm of David [on the occasion] of the solemn assembly of the Tabernacle. Bring to the Lord, you sons of God, bring to the Lord young rams; bring to the Lord glory and honor.
Un psaume de David, à l'occasion de l'assemblée solennelle du Tabernacle. Apportez au Seigneur, enfants de Dieu, apportez au Seigneur les petits des béliers.
2 Bring to the Lord glory, [due] to his name; worship the lord in his holy court.
Rendez au Seigneur gloire et honneur; glorifiez le nom du Seigneur; adorez le Seigneur en son saint parvis.
3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory has thundered: the Lord is upon many waters.
La voix du Seigneur est sur les eaux; le Dieu de gloire a tonné; le Seigneur est sur les grandes eaux.
4 The voice of the Lord is mighty; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
La voix du Seigneur est puissante; la voix du Seigneur est pleine de magnificence.
5 [There is] the voice of the Lord who breaks the cedars; the Lord will break the cedars of Libanus.
La voix du Seigneur brise les cèdres; le Seigneur va broyer les cèdres du Liban.
6 And he will beat them small, [even] Libanus itself, like a calf; and the beloved one is as a young unicorn.
Il les brisera comme un jeune taureau du Liban, comme le faon chéri de la licorne.
7 [There is] a voice of the Lord who divides a flame of fire.
C'est la voix du Seigneur qui divise la flamme et le feu.
8 A voice of the Lord who shakes the wilderness; the Lord will shake the wilderness of Cades.
C'est la voix du Seigneur qui fait trembler le désert; le Seigneur ébranlera le désert de Cadès.
9 The voice of the Lord strengthens the hinds, and will uncover the thickets: and in his temple every one speaks [of his] glory.
C'est la voix du Seigneur qui a préparé la naissance des cerfs; elle découvrira les forêts, et dans le temple du Seigneur chacun dira sa gloire.
10 The Lord will dwell on the waterflood: and the Lord will sit a king for ever.
Le Seigneur répandra sur la terre un déluge; le Seigneur est roi, et il siégera éternellement.
11 The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
Le Seigneur fortifiera son peuple; le Seigneur bénira son peuple en lui donnant la paix.
