Job 10
1 My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
૧મારો આત્મા આ જીવનથી કંટાળી ગયો છે; હું મારી ફરિયાદો વિષે મુક્ત રીતે વિલાપ કરીશ; મારા જીવની વેદનાએ હું બોલીશ.
2 I will say unto Eloah, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.
૨હું ઈશ્વરને કહીશ કે, ‘મને દોષિત ન ઠરાવો; તમે મારી સાથે શા માટે તકરાર કરો છો તે મને બતાવો.
3 Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?
૩જુલમ કરવો, તથા તમારા હાથોના કામને તુચ્છ ગણવું અને દુષ્ટ લોકોની યોજનાઓથી ખુશ થવું એ શું તમને શોભે છે?
4 Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?
૪શું તમને ચર્મચક્ષુ છે, અથવા શું તમે માણસની જેમ જુઓ છો?
5 Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man's days,
૫શું તમારા દિવસો અમારા દિવસો જેટલાં છે, તમારું જીવન માણસના જીવન જેટલું છે કે,
6 That thou inquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin?
૬તમે મારા અન્યાયની તપાસ કરો છો, અને મારાં પાપ શોધો છો.
7 Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thine hand.
૭તમે જાણો છો કે હું દોષિત નથી, અને તમારા હાથમાંથી મને કોઈ બચાવી શકે તેમ નથી.
8 Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me.
૮તમારા હાથોએ મને ઘડ્યો છે અને ચોતરફથી મારો આકાર બનાવ્યો છે, છતાં તમે મારો વિનાશ કરો છો.
9 Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?
૯કૃપા કરી યાદ રાખો કે, તમે માટીના ઘાટ જેવો મને ઘડ્યો છે; શું હવે તમે મને પાછો માટીમાં મેળવી દેશો?
10 Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese?
૧૦શું તમે મને દૂધની જેમ રેડ્યો નથી? અને મને પનીરની જેમ જમાવ્યો નથી?
11 Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.
૧૧તમે મને ચામડી અને માંસથી મઢી લીધો છે. તમે મને હાડકાં અને સ્નાયુઓથી સજ્જડ ગૂંથ્યો છે.
12 Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.
૧૨તમે મને જીવન તથા કૃપા આપ્યાં છે. અને તમારી કૃપાદ્રષ્ટિએ મારા આત્માનું રક્ષણ કર્યું છે.
13 And these things hast thou hid in thine heart: I know that this is with thee.
૧૩છતાં આ બાબત તમે તમારા હૃદયમાં ગુપ્ત રાખી છે. હું જાણું છું કે એ તમારો આશય છે.
14 If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity.
૧૪જો હું પાપ કરું, તો તમે મને ધ્યાનમાં લો છો; તમે મારા અન્યાય વિષે મને નિર્દોષ ઠરાવશો નહિ.
15 If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction;
૧૫જો હું દુષ્ટ હોઉં, તો મને અફસોસ! જો હું નિર્દોષ હોઉં તો પણ હું મારું માથું ઊંચે ઉઠાવીશ નહિ, કેમ કે મને અતિશય શરમ લાગે છે. અને મારી વિપત્તિ મારી નજર આગળ છે.
16 For it increaseth. Thou huntest me as a fierce lion: and again thou shewest thyself marvellous upon me.
૧૬જો હું ગર્વ કરું, તો તમે સિંહની જેમ મારી પૂઠે લાગો છો અને ફરીથી તમે મારી સામે તમારી મહાનતા બતાવો છો.
17 Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and increasest thine indignation upon me; changes and war are against me.
૧૭તમે મારી વિરુદ્ધ નવા સાક્ષીઓ લાવો છો, અને મારા ઉપર તમારો રોષ વધારો છો; તમે મારી સામે દુઃખોની ફોજ પર ફોજ લાવો છો.
18 Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? Oh that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me!
૧૮તો પછી તમે મને શા માટે ગર્ભમાંથી બહાર લાવ્યા? ત્યાંજ હું મૃત્યુ પામ્યો હોત અને કોઈએ કદી મને જોયો ન હોત.
19 I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.
૧૯હું હતો ન હતો થઈ ગયો હોત; ગર્ભમાંથી સીધો તેઓ મને કબરમાં ઊંચકી જાત.
20 Are not my days few? cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,
૨૦શું મારા દિવસો થોડા જ નથી? તો બસ કરો, અને મને એકલો રહેવા દો, જેથી હું આરામ કરું
21 Before I go whence I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;
૨૧કેમ કે જ્યાંથી કોઈ પાછું આવતું નથી ત્યાં, એટલે અંધકારનાં તથા મૃત્યુછાયાના દેશમાં મારે જવાનું છે,
22 A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.
૨૨એટલે ઘોર અંધકારનાં દેશમાં, જે સંપૂર્ણ અસ્તવ્યસ્ત છે તથા જેનો પ્રકાશ અંધકારરૂપ છે, તેવા મૃત્યુછાયાના દેશમાં મારે જવાનું છે.”
