Psalms 97
1 The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad.
Царю́є Господь: хай радіє земля, нехай веселя́ться числе́нні острови́!
2 Clouds and darkness are round about Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
Хмара та мо́рок круг Нього, справедливість та право — підстава престолу Його.
3 A fire goeth before Him, and burneth up His adversaries round about.
Огонь іде перед лицем Його́, і ворогів Його па́лить навко́ло.
4 His lightnings lighted up the world; the earth saw, and trembled.
Освітили вселе́нну Його блискави́ці, — те бачить земля та тремти́ть!
5 The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
Гори, як віск, розтопи́лися перед обличчям Господнім, перед обличчям Господа всієї землі.
6 The heavens declared His righteousness, and all the peoples saw His glory.
Небо розповідає про правду Його, й бачать славу Його всі наро́ди.
7 Ashamed be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of things of nought; bow down to Him, all ye gods.
Нехай посоро́млені будуть усі, хто і́долам служить, хто божка́ми вихва́люється! Додо́лу впадіть перед Ним, усі бо́ги!
8 Zion heard and was glad, and the daughters of Judah rejoiced; because of Thy judgments, O LORD.
Почув і звесели́вся Сіон, і поті́шились Юдині до́чки через Твої при́суди, Господи,
9 For Thou, LORD, art most high above all the earth; Thou art exalted far above all gods.
бо над усією землею Найви́щий Ти, Господи, над бога́ми всіма́ Ти піднесе́ний сильно!
10 O ye that love the LORD, hate evil; He preserveth the souls of His saints; He delivered them out of the hand of the wicked.
Хто Господа любить, — нена́видьте зло! Хто рятує душі святих Своїх, Той ви́зволить їх із руки несправедли́вих.
11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
Світло сі́ється для справедливого, а для простосердих — розра́да.
12 Be glad in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks to His holy name.
Радійте, праведні, Господом, і славте Його святу па́м'ять!
