Psalms 43

1 Be Thou my judge, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

O DIO, fammi ragione, e dibatti la mia lite; Liberami dalla gente spietata, dall'uomo frodolente ed iniquo.

2 For Thou art the God of my strength; why hast Thou cast me off? Why go I mourning under the oppression of the enemy?

Perciocchè tu [sei] l'Iddio della mia fortezza; perchè mi hai scacciato? Perchè vo io attorno vestito a bruno, Per l'oppression del nemico?

3 O send out Thy light and Thy truth; let them lead me; let them bring me unto Thy holy mountain, and to Thy dwelling-places.

Manda la tua luce, e la tua verità; giudinmi esse, [Ed] introducanmi al monte della tua santità, e ne' tuoi tabernacoli.

4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God, my exceeding joy; and praise Thee upon the harp, O God, my God.

Allora verrò all'Altare di Dio, all'Iddio dell'allegrezza del mio giubilo; E ti celebrerò colla cetera, o Dio, Dio mio.

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why moanest thou within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the salvation of my countenance, and my God.

Perchè ti abbatti, anima mia? e perchè ti commovi in me? Aspetta Iddio; perciocchè ancora lo celebrerò; [Egli è] la compiuta salvezza della mia faccia, e il mio Dio.
