Revelation 19
1 AND after these things I heard a loud sound as of a vast multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah: Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power be to the Lord our God:
Après cela, j'entendis dans le ciel comme la grande voix d'une foule immense qui disait: Alléluia! Le salut, la gloire et la puissance appartiennent à notre Dieu!
2 because true and righteous are his judgments; for he hath judged the great harlot, that corrupted the earth with her whoredom, and hath avenged the blood of his servants shed by her hand.
Car ses jugements sont vrais et justes: Il a jugé la grande prostituée, qui corrompait la terre par ses impudicités, et il a exercé sa vengeance contre elle, dont la main avait répandu le sang de ses serviteurs.
3 And the second time they said, Hallelujah. And her smoke ascended up for ever and ever. (aiōn g165)
Et pour la seconde fois ils dirent: Alléluia! Sa fumée monte, aux siècles des siècles. (aiōn g165)
4 And the four and twenty presbyters fell prostrate, and the four living beings, and they worshipped God who was seated on the throne, saying, Amen; Hallelujah.
Alors les vingt-quatre vieillards et les quatre animaux se prosternèrent et adorèrent Dieu, Celui qui est assis sur le trône, et ils disaient: Amen, Alléluia!
5 And there came a voice out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye servants of his, and all that fear him, both the small and the great.
Et il vint du trône une voix qui disait: Louez notre Dieu, vous tous, ses serviteurs qui le craignez, petits et grands!
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a vast multitude, and as the noise of many waters, and as the roar of mighty thunderings, saying, Hallelujah: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Puis, j'entendis comme la voix d'une foule immense, telle que le bruit de grandes eaux ou le bruit de violents tonnerres, qui disait: Alléluia! Car il est entré dans son règne, le Seigneur, notre Dieu, le Tout-Puissant.
7 Let us rejoice and exult, and give him glory: because the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his bride hath made herself ready.
Réjouissons-nous, faisons éclater notre joie, et rendons-lui gloire; car les noces de l'Agneau sont venues, et son épouse s'est parée.
8 And it was granted her to be clothed in fine linen, clean and splendid: for the fine linen is the emblem of the righteousness of the saints.
Il lui a été donné de se vêtir de fin lin, éclatant et pur. — Le fin lin, ce sont les oeuvres de justice des saints.
9 And he said to me, Write, Blessed are they that are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me, These are the true sayings of God.
L'ange me dit: Écris: Heureux ceux qui sont invités au banquet des noces de l'Agneau! Il me dit encore: Ce sont là les véritables paroles de Dieu.
10 And I fell down before his feet to worship him: and he said unto me, See thou dost not so: I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.
Alors je me jetai à ses pieds pour l'adorer; mais il me dit: Garde-toi de le faire; je suis ton compagnon de service et celui de tes frères qui gardent le témoignage de Jésus. Adore Dieu! — Le témoignage de Jésus, c'est l'esprit de la prophétie. —
11 And I saw heaven opened, and lo a white horse; and he that sat upon it, is called Faithful and True, and with righteousness doth he judge and make war.
Alors je vis le ciel ouvert, et il parut un cheval blanc: celui qui le montait s'appelle le «Fidèle» et le «Véritable»; il juge et combat avec justice.
12 And his eyes were as a flame of fire, and upon his head were many diadems; and he hath a name inscribed which no man knoweth but himself.
Ses yeux sont une flamme de feu; sur sa tête il y a plusieurs diadèmes, et il porte un nom écrit, que personne ne connaît que lui-même.
13 And he was clothed in a garment dipt in blood, and his name is styled the word of God.
Il est revêtu d'un manteau teint de sang, et il est appelé de ce nom: La Parole de Dieu.
14 And the hosts which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Les armées qui sont dans le ciel le suivaient, montées sur des chevaux blancs et vêtues de fin lin, blanc et pur.
15 And out of his mouth proceeded a sharp sword, that therewith he may smite the heathen and he will rule them with an iron sceptre: and he will tread the wine-press of the fury and of the wrath of God Almighty.
De sa bouche sort une épée tranchante, dont il va frapper les nations, et il les gouvernera avec un sceptre de fer. Il foule la cuve du vin de l'indignation et de la colère du Dieu tout puissant.
16 And he hath upon his vesture and upon his thigh this name written, king of kings, and lord of lords.
Sur son manteau et sur sa cuisse, il porte ce nom écrit: Roi des rois et Seigneur des seigneurs.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls which fly in the midst of heaven, Come hither and flock together unto the supper of the great God:
Alors je vis un ange debout dans le soleil. Il cria d'une voix forte à tous les oiseaux qui volaient dans le milieu du ciel: Venez, rassemblez-vous pour le grand festin de Dieu;
18 that ye may eat the carcasses of kings, and the carcasses of military commanders, and the carcasses of mighty men, and the carcasses of horses, and of those who ride upon them, and the carcasses of all, freemen and slaves, both small and great.
venez manger la chair des rois, la chair des capitaines, la chair dés puissants, la chair des chevaux et de ceux qui les montent, et la chair de tous les hommes, libres et esclaves, petits et grands.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war with him that was sitting upon the horse, and with his army.
Puis je vis la bête, et les rois de la terre, et leurs armées, rassemblés pour faire la guerre à celui qui était monté sur le cheval et son armée.
20 And the beast was seized upon, and with him the false prophet who performed the wonders before him, by which he deceived those who received the brand of the beast, and those who worshipped his image. They were both hurled alive into the lake of fire which burneth with brimstone. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
21 And all the rest were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which issued from his mouth: and all the fowls were gorged with their carcasses.
Les autres furent tués par l'épée qui sortait de la bouche de celui qui était monté sur le cheval; et tous les oiseaux se rassasièrent de leur chair.
