< 1 Timothy 4 >
1 NOW the Spirit speaketh expresly, that in the latter days some will apostatise from the faith, giving heed to spirits of delusion, and doctrines of devils;
Hun khakbel sung ah mi pawlkhat te upna pan in tai tu uh a, paikhialna thaa le doai te kihilna te zui zawk tu thupisak tu uh hi, ci in Thaa in thiangtak in son hi.
2 men who teach lies with hypocrisy; and have their own consciences cauterised;
Kihisakna taw leilot thu te son uh a, amate khentel theina te sia thiksa taw kaangsak in a hikcip bang a hihi;
3 prohibiting marriage, and enjoining abstinence from particular meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by the faithful, and those who acknowledge the truth.
Kitenna te khaam uh a, a um te le thuman a he te in lungdamko in a san tu uh Pathian i piansak an te zong pial tu in thupia uh hi.
4 For every creature of God is good, and none to be rejected, if used with thanksgiving:
Banghangziam cile Pathian i piansak theampo sia a pha hi a, lungdamko in i sang ahile nial tu khat zong om ngawl hi:
5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
Banghangziam cile Pathian kammal le thungetna tungtawn in thiangthosak zo hi.
6 If thou suggest these truths to the brethren, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and sound doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
Upna kammal le hilna pha taw a kivak le na zuisa thu te sia suapui te na phawksak kik le, nangma sia Jesus Christ i naseam pha na hi tu hi.
7 But profane and antiquated fables reject, but exercise thyself unto godliness.
Ahihang Pathian thusimngawl le nupi huai te phuatawm tangthu te nial in, taciang Pathianmi hina lam ah nangma le nangma ki hil in.
8 For bodily exercise is of little advantage, but godliness is profitable for all things, having the promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come.
Banghangziam cile damna tu in cilesa lam hilna sia tawm bekma phatuam hi: ahihang Pathianmi hi na in tu hun le hongpai pheang tu hun atu in kamciam nei a, na theampo sung ah phatuam hi.
9 This is a faithful saying, and deserving all acceptance.
Hi thu sia a thuman kammal hi a, a vekpi in san thamman hi.
10 For therefore do we labour and are exposed to abuse, because we have hoped in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of the faithful.
Tua ahikom kote na seam in zawnsakna zong ka thuak uh hi, banghangziam cile a nungta Pathian ka muang uh hi, Ama sia mi theampo a ngum pa hi a, a tuan in a umte a ngum pa a hihi.
11 Announce and teach these things.
Hi thupiak te pia in a, hil in.
12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be a pattern of the faithful, in discourse; in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Khangno na hi hu in kuama in hong zawngsak heak hen; ahihang na kammal, na nuntakzia, itna, na thaa, upna le thianthona lam ah thu um te ette tak in om in.
13 Till I come, apply to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
Na kung kongpai dong, laithiangtho sim na, hanthotna le hilna sung ah hanciam in hun zang in.
14 Neglect not the gift which is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with imposition of the hands of the presbytery.
Na sung ah letsong sia ngaingon heak in, tua letsong sia elder te i khutsuan in le maisang thu pualakna tungtawn in na tung ah hong kipia a hihi.
15 Let these things be thy care; be wholly devoted to them; that thy progress may be evident to all men.
Na khantona sia mi theampo tung ah a kilang thei natu in, hi thu te ngaisun tawntung in a; nangma le nangma amate tung ah ki pumpiak in.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and to thy doctrine; abide in them: for so doing thou shalt both save thyself, and those who hear thee.
Nangma le na hilna kidawm in; tua sung ah tatsat ngawl in om in: banghangziam cile tabang na vawt hu in nangma le na thuhilna a zate na tankhia zo tu hi.
