3 Then Peter and the other disciple came out, and they were coming to the sepulcher.
Saka Petro nomumwe mudzidzi vakabuda vakaenda kuguva.
4 And the two were running simultaneously: and the other disciple was running before more rapidly than Peter, and came first to the sepulcher.

6 Then Simon Peter, following him, he came into the sepulcher; and sees the grave-clothes lying,
Ipapo Simoni Petro, uyo akanga ari shure kwake, akasvikopinda muguva. Akaona micheka iri pasi,
7 and the napkin, which was on His head, not lying with the grave-clothes, but separate in one place, having been rolled up.

8 Then the other disciple also came in, the one having come first to the sepulcher, and saw, and believed;
Pakupedzisira mumwe mudzidzi, uya akanga atanga kusvika paguva akapindawo. Akaona akatenda.
9 for they did not yet understand the Scripture, That it behooved Him to rise from the dead.
(Vakanga vasati vanzwisisa kubva muRugwaro kuti Jesu aifanira kumuka kubva kuvakafa.)
10 Then the disciples departed again to their own comrades.
Ipapo vadzidzi vakadzokera kumusha kwavo,
11 And Mary was standing at the sepulcher without, weeping: then while she was weeping, she looked into the sepulcher;
asi Maria akaramba amire kunze kweguva achichema. Achiri kuchema kudai, akakotama kuti atarire muguva
12 and sees two angels sitting in white robes, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus lay.
akaona vatumwa vaviri vane nguo chena, vagere pakambenge pane mutumbi waJesu, mumwe kumusoro uye mumwe kumakumbo.
13 They say to her, Woman, why do you weep? She says to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have placed Him.
Vakamubvunza vakati, “Mai, munochemeiko?” Akati, “Vabvisa Ishe wangu, uye handizivi kuti vamuisepi.”
14 Saying these words, she turned backward, and sees Jesus standing, and did not know that He is Jesus.
Ipapo akatendeuka akatarira shure akaona Jesu amirepo, asi haana kuziva kuti akanga ari Jesu.
15 Jesus says to her, Woman, why are you weeping? whom are you seeking? She, thinking that He is the gardener, says to Him, Sir, if you have taken Him away, tell me where you have placed Him, and I will take Him.
Akati, “Mai, munochemeiko? Munotsvaka aniko?” Maria achifunga kuti aiva muchengeti webindu, akati, “Ishe, kana mamutora, ndiudzei henyu kwamamuisa ndigomutora.”
16 Jesus says to her, Mary: she turning, says to Him in Hebrew, Rabboni, which is called Teacher.

17 Jesus says to her, Cling not to me; for I have not ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and tell them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.
Jesu akati kwaari, “Usandibata, nokuti handisati ndadzokera kuna Baba. Asi enda kuhama dzangu undovaudza kuti, ‘Ndiri kudzokera kuna Baba vangu naBaba venyu, kuna Mwari wangu, naMwari wenyu.’”
18 Mary Magdalene comes proclaiming to the disciples, I have seen the Lord; and He spoke these things to her.
Maria Magadharena akaenda kuvadzidzi akandovaudza kuti, “Ndaona Ishe!” Uye akavaudza kuti Jesu akanga areva zvinhu izvi kwaari.
19 Then it being evening, on that day, on the first day of the week, and the doors being shut where the disciples were assembled, on account of the fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and says to them, Peace be unto you.
Madekwana ezuva rokutanga revhiki, vadzidzi pavakanga vari pamwe chete, mikova yakazarirwa nokuda kwokutya vaJudha, Jesu akauya akasvikomira pakati pavo akati, “Rugare ngaruve kwamuri!”

22 And saying this, He breathed on them, and says to them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost.
Uye adaro akavafemera akati, “Gamuchirai Mweya Mutsvene.
23 Whose sins you may remit, are remitted unto them; whose sins you may retain, have been retained.
Kana muchiregerera ani zvake zvivi zvake, zvicharegererwa; kana musingavaregereri, havaregererwi.”
24 And Thomas, one of the twelve, the one called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25 Then the other disciples said to him, We have seen the Lord. And he said to them, Unless I may see the print of the nails in His hand, and thrust my finger into the place of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe.
Saka vamwe vadzidzi vakamuudza kuti, “Taona Ishe!” Asi iye akati kwavari, “Kunze kwokunge ndaona mavanga ezvipikiri mumaoko ake uye ndikaisa munwe wangu pakanga pane zvipikiri, uye ndikaisa ruoko rwangu parutivi rwake, handingatendi.”
26 And after eight days His disciples were again within, and Thomas was with them. Jesus comes, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27 Then He says to Thomas, Bring hither your finger, and see my hands, and bring your hand, and cast it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Ipapo akati kuna Tomasi, “Isa munwe wako pano; ona maoko angu. Tambanudza ruoko rwako uise parutivi rwangu. Rega kukahadzika uye utende.”
28 Thomas responded and said to Him, My Lord and my God.
Tomasi akati kwaari, “Ishe wangu naMwari wangu!”
29 Jesus says to him, Because you have seen me, you have believed: happy are those not seeing, and believing.
Ipapo Jesu akati kwaari, “Nokuda kwokuti wandiona, zvino watenda; vakaropafadzwa avo vasina kuona asi vakatenda.”
30 Indeed then Jesus also did many other miracles in the presence of His disciples, which have not been written in this book;
