Psalms 60
1 To him that excelleth upon Shushan Eduth, or Michtam. A Psalme of David to teach. When he fought against Aram Naharaim, and against Aram Zobah, when Joab returned and slew twelve thousand Edomites in the salt valley. O God, thou hast cast vs out, thou hast scattered vs, thou hast bene angry, turne againe vnto vs.
Untuk pemimpin kor. Menurut lagu: Bunga bakung kesaksian. Mazmur pengajaran dari Daud, ketika ia memerangi orang Aram-Mesopotamia dan orang Aram-Zoba, dan ketika Yoab pulang dan mengalahkan 12.000 orang Edom di Lembah Asin. Engkau menolak kami, ya Allah, dan membiarkan kami dikalahkan. Engkau marah kepada kami; sekarang pulihkanlah kami.
2 Thou hast made the land to tremble, and hast made it to gape: heale the breaches thereof, for it is shaken.
Engkau menggoncangkan bumi sehingga retak; perbaikilah yang pecah-pecah, sebab bumi goyah.
3 Thou hast shewed thy people heauy things: thou hast made vs to drinke the wine of giddines.
Kaubiarkan umat-Mu mengalami penderitaan berat; kami terhuyung-huyung seperti orang mabuk.
4 But now thou hast giuen a banner to them that feare thee, that it may be displayed because of thy trueth. (Selah)
Kauberi peringatan kepada orang-orang takwa, supaya mereka luput dari hukuman.
5 That thy beloued may be deliuered, helpe with thy right hand and heare me.
Selamatkanlah kami dengan kuasa-Mu, jawablah doa kami, supaya orang-orang yang Kaukasihi diselamatkan.
6 God hath spoken in his holines: therefore I will reioyce: I shall deuide Shechem, and measure the valley of Succoth.
Dari kediaman-Nya yang suci Allah berkata, "Aku mau bersorak dan membagi-bagikan tanah Sikhem; Lembah Sukot akan Kuundi.
7 Gilead shalbe mine, and Manasseh shalbe mine: Ephraim also shalbe the strength of mine head: Iudah is my lawgiuer.
Gilead dan Manasye adalah milik-Ku, Efraim topi baja-Ku, dan Yehuda tongkat kerajaan-Ku.
8 Moab shalbe my wash pot: ouer Edom will I cast out my shoe: Palestina shew thy selfe ioyfull for me.
Tetapi Moab adalah tempat pembasuhan kaki-Ku; Aku bersorak kemenangan atas Filistea. Kepada Edom Kulemparkan kasut-Ku sebagai tanda bahwa ia milik-Ku."
9 Who will leade me into the strong citie? who will bring me vnto Edom?
Siapa akan membawa aku ke Edom? Siapa menuntun aku ke kota berkubu itu?
10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadest cast vs off, and didest not go forth, O God, with our armies?
Ya Allah, tidakkah Engkau ikut bersama kami? Tidakkah Engkau maju bersama tentara kami?
11 Giue vs helpe against trouble: for vaine is the helpe of man.
Tolonglah kami terhadap musuh, sebab bantuan manusia tidak berguna.
12 Through God we shall doe valiantly: for he shall tread downe our enemies.
Bersama Allah, kita akan gagah perkasa, Dialah yang mengalahkan musuh kita.
