Psalms 48
1 A song or Psalme committed to the sonnes of Korah. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praysed, in the Citie of our God, euen vpon his holy Mountaine.
Weedduu. Faarfannaa Ilmaan Qooraahi. Magaalaa Waaqa keenyaa keessatti, tulluu isaa qulqulluu irrattis, Waaqayyo guddaa dha; waan hundaa olittis galanni isaaf mala.
2 Mount Zion, lying Northwarde, is faire in situation: it is the ioy of the whole earth, and the Citie of the great King.
Tulluun Xiyoon gara kaabaatti argama; dheerina isaatiinis ni bareeda. Innis gammachuu addunyaa hundaa ti; magaalaa Mooticha Guddaatis.
3 In the palaces thereof God is knowen for a refuge.
Waaqni daʼannoo ishee keessa jira; inni daʼannoo ishee taʼuu isaa argisiiseera.
4 For lo, the Kings were gathered, and went together.
Mootonni humna walitti daratanii tokkummaadhaan itti qajeelan.
5 When they sawe it, they marueiled: they were astonied, and suddenly driuen backe.
Isaanis ishee arganii dinqifatan; sodaataniis baqatan.
6 Feare came there vpon them, and sorowe, as vpon a woman in trauaile.
Achittis akkuma muddama dubartii ciniinsifattuutti, hollannaan isaan qabate.
7 As with an East winde thou breakest the shippes of Tarshish, so were they destroyed.
Atis bubbee baʼa biiftuutiin dooniiwwan Tarshiish caccabsite.
8 As we haue heard, so haue we seene in the citie of the Lord of hostes, in the Citie of our God: God will stablish it for euer. (Selah)
Akkuma dhageenye sana, magaalaa Waaqayyoo Waan Hunda Dandaʼuu keessatti, magaalaa Waaqa keenyaa keessatti, akkasuma argineerra; Waaqni bara baraan jabeessee ishee dhaaba.
9 We waite for thy louing kindnes, O God, in the middes of thy Temple.
Yaa Waaqayyo, nu mana qulqullummaa kee keessatti, jaalala kee kan hin geeddaramne sana irra deddeebinee yaadna.
10 O God, according vnto thy Name, so is thy prayse vnto the worlds end: thy right hand is full of righteousnes.
Yaa Waaqayyo, galanni kee akkuma maqaa keetii handaara lafaa gaʼa; harki kee mirgaas qajeelummaan guutameera.
11 Let mount Zion reioyce, and the daughters of Iudah be glad, because of thy iudgements.
Sababii murtii keetiitiif, Tulluun Xiyoon haa gammaddu; intallan Yihuudaas haa ililchan.
12 Compasse about Zion, and goe round about it, and tell the towres thereof.
Xiyoon irra naannaʼaa; naannoo ishee irras adeemaa; gamoowwan ishees lakkaaʼaa.
13 Marke well the wall thereof: beholde her towres, that ye may tell your posteritie.
Dhaloota itti aanutti akka himtaniif, dallaa eegumsa ishee sirriitti hubadhaa; galma ishees ilaalaa.
14 For this God is our God for euer and euer: he shall be our guide vnto the death.
Waaqni kun bara baraa hamma bara baraatti Waaqa keenyaatii; inni hamma dhumaatti illee nu qajeelcha.
