Psalms 27
1 A Psalme of David. The Lord is my light and my saluation, whom shall I feare? the Lord is the strength of my life, of whome shall I be afraide?
Ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. Ko ʻeku maama mo hoku fakamoʻui ʻa Sihova; te u manavahē kia hai? Ko e mālohi ʻo ʻeku moʻui ʻa Sihova; pea te u manavahē kia hai?
2 When the wicked, euen mine enemies and my foes came vpon mee to eate vp my flesh; they stumbled and fell.
ʻI he haʻu kiate au ʻae kau angahala, ko hoku ngaahi fili mo e kau fakamamahi kiate au, ke kai ʻo ʻosi hoku kakano, naʻa nau tūkia ʻo hinga.
3 Though an hoste pitched against me, mine heart should not be afraide: though warre be raised against me, I will trust in this.
Kapau ʻe fakataha ʻae kautau ke tauʻi au, ʻe ʻikai manavahē hoku loto; neongo ʻae tuʻu mai ʻae tau kiate au, te u falala pe ʻi he meʻa ni.
4 One thing haue I desired of the Lord, that I will require, euen that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the dayes of my life, to beholde the beautie of the Lord, and to visite his Temple.
Ko e meʻa ʻe taha kuo u kole kia Sihova, ʻaia te u kumi ki ai; koeʻuhi ke u nofomaʻu ʻi he fale ʻo Sihova ʻi he ʻaho kotoa pē ʻo ʻeku moʻui, ke mamata ki he lelei ʻo Sihova, mo fehuʻi ʻi hono faletapu.
5 For in the time of trouble hee shall hide mee in his Tabernacle: in the secrete place of his pauillion shall he hide me, and set me vp vpon a rocke.
He te ne fufū au ʻi he ʻaho ʻoe mamahi ʻi hono ʻafioʻanga: te ne fufū au ʻi he potu lilo ʻo hono fale fehikitaki; te ne fokotuʻu au ki he funga maka.
6 And nowe shall hee lift vp mine head aboue mine enemies rounde about mee: therefore wil I offer in his Tabernacle sacrifices of ioy: I wil sing and praise the Lord.
Pea ko eni, ʻe hiki ke māʻolunga hake hoku ʻulu ki hoku ngaahi fili ʻoku takatakai au: ko ia te u ʻohake ʻi hono fale fehikitaki ʻae ngaahi feilaulau ʻae fiefia; te u hiva, ʻio, te u hiva ʻaki ʻae fakafetaʻi kia Sihova.
7 Hearken vnto my voyce, O Lord, when I crie: haue mercie also vpon mee and heare mee.
Ke ke ongoʻi, ʻE Sihova, ʻo kau ka tangi ʻaki hoku leʻo: ke ke ʻaloʻofa mai foki kiate au, ʻo talia au.
8 When thou saidest, Seeke ye my face, mine heart answered vnto thee, O Lord, I will seeke thy face.
[ʻI hoʻo folofola pehē], “Mou kumi ki hoku fofonga; naʻe pehē leva ʻe hoku loto kiate koe, Ko ho fofonga, ʻE Sihova, te u kumi.”
9 Hide not therefore thy face from mee, nor cast thy seruat away in displeasure: thou hast bene my succour: leaue me not, neither forsake mee, O God of my saluation.
ʻOua naʻa ke fufū ho fofonga ʻiate au; ʻoua naʻa ke tukuange hoʻo tamaioʻeiki ʻi ho houhau: naʻa ke tokoni au; ʻoua naʻa ke tuku au, pe siʻaki au, ʻE ʻOtua ʻo ʻeku moʻui.
10 Though my father and my mother shoulde forsake me, yet the Lord will gather me vp.
ʻOka liʻaki au ʻe heʻeku tamai mo ʻeku faʻē, ʻe toʻo hake au ʻe Sihova.
11 Teache mee thy way, O Lord, and leade me in a right path, because of mine enemies.
ʻAko kiate au ho hala, ʻE Sihova, mo tataki au ʻi he hala ʻilongofua, koeʻuhi ko hoku ngaahi fili.
12 Giue me not vnto the lust of mine aduersaries: for there are false witnesses risen vp against me, and such as speake cruelly.
ʻOua naʻa ke tukuange au ki he loto ʻo hoku ngaahi fili: he kuo tuʻu hake ʻo angatuʻu kiate au ʻae kau fakamoʻoni loi, mo ia ʻoku mānava ʻaki ʻae fai kovi.
13 I should haue fainted, except I had beleeued to see the goodnes of the Lord in the land of the liuing.
Ka ne ʻikai te u tui ke u mamata ki he finangalo ʻofa ʻo Sihova ʻi he fonua ʻoe moʻui, pehē kuo u ilifia.
14 Hope in the Lord: be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart, and trust in the Lord.
ʻAmanaki lelei kia Sihova: pea ke lototoʻa, pea te ne fakamālohi ho loto: ʻoku ou pehē, ʻamanaki lelei kia Sihova.
