Psalms 12

1 To him that excelleth upon the eight tune. A Psalme of Dauid. Helpe Lord, for there is not a godly man left: for the faithfull are fayled from among the children of men.

१प्रधान बजानेवाले के लिये खर्ज की राग में दाऊद का भजन हे यहोवा बचा ले, क्योंकि एक भी भक्त नहीं रहा; मनुष्यों में से विश्वासयोग्य लोग लुप्त‍ हो गए हैं।

2 They speake deceitfully euery one with his neighbour, flattering with their lips, and speake with a double heart.

२प्रत्येक मनुष्य अपने पड़ोसी से झूठी बातें कहता है; वे चापलूसी के होठों से दो रंगी बातें करते हैं।

3 The Lord cut off all flattering lippes, and the tongue that speaketh proude things:

३यहोवा सब चापलूस होठों को और उस जीभ को जिससे बड़ा बोल निकलता है काट डालेगा।

4 Which haue saide, With our tongue will we preuaile: our lippes are our owne: who is Lord ouer vs?

४वे कहते हैं, “हम अपनी जीभ ही से जीतेंगे, हमारे होंठ हमारे ही वश में हैं; हम पर कौन शासन कर सकेगा?”

5 Now for the oppression of the needy, and for the sighes of the poore, I will vp, sayeth the Lord, and will set at libertie him, whom the wicked hath snared.

५दीन लोगों के लुट जाने, और दरिद्रों के कराहने के कारण, यहोवा कहता है, “अब मैं उठूँगा, जिस पर वे फुँकारते हैं उसे मैं चैन विश्राम दूँगा।”

6 The wordes of the Lord are pure wordes, as the siluer, tried in a fornace of earth, fined seuen folde.

६यहोवा का वचन पवित्र है, उस चाँदी के समान जो भट्ठी में मिट्टी पर ताई गई, और सात बार निर्मल की गई हो।

7 Thou wilt keepe them, O Lord: thou wilt preserue him from this generation for euer.

७तू ही हे यहोवा उनकी रक्षा करेगा, उनको इस काल के लोगों से सर्वदा के लिये बचाए रखेगा।

8 The wicked walke on euery side: when they are exalted, it is a shame for the sonnes of men.

८जब मनुष्यों में बुराई का आदर होता है, तब दुष्ट लोग चारों ओर अकड़ते फिरते हैं।
